The end of one of the rods is engaged in an oblong opening of the base, which allows manual control of the circuit breaker independently of the remote control unit.

- This ring can pivot around a fixed axis 16. It has a locking spout 17 arranged to cooperate with a stop pin 18 disposed laterally at the periphery of the drum 12 carrying the lever.
- the handle When the ring is in the retracted position, the handle can be moved freely from one to the other of its two stable positions. When the latter is in the closed position it is impossible to remove the ring 15, because the locking spout 17 is blocked by the stud 18.
- This ring also carries a crank pin 20 which has the function of pivoting about a fixed axis, a reference 21 intended to actuate an arm 22 bearing against a pusher 23 of the switch 14, when the retractable ring is brought in its raised position. Under the effect of the displacement of the crank pin 20, the return switches and exerts a push on said pusher 23, which has the effect of interrupting the power supply to the circuit of the remote control unit.
- the two locks are linked and are carried out simultaneously during a single intervention consisting in raising the retractable ring 15.
- FIG. 3 illustrates this use.
- a sealing wire 30 is passed through an opening 31 made through the retractable ring 15. It can be seen that, in this case, this ring is less raised than in the case of FIG. 2. Nevertheless, the locking spout 17 remains at least partially positioned behind the stud 18, so that the lever 11 is locked.
- the condition necessary for the reliable operation of the device is that the length of the edge 32 of the locking spout is sufficient for it to be able to cooperate effectively with the stud 18.
- FIG. 4 represents the device in a position where the lever 11 is not mechanically locked and where the electrical supply circuit of the remote control unit is not cut.
- the retractable ring 15 is retracted. It is held in this position by the end of a slide 40 which is associated on the one hand with a push button 41 and on the other hand with an insulating tongue 42 which can be interposed between two conductive strips 43 and 44, when the push button 41 is moved in the direction of the arrow A.
- the lever 11 can be freely actuated from one to the other from its stable positions, the locking spout 17 not being placed on the trajectory of the pad 18 and therefore not preventing the movement of the latter and, therefore, of the lever.

- the push button 41 has been moved in the direction of arrow A, which has the effect of cutting off the power supply to the remote control unit by interposing the insulating tab 42 between the conductive strips 43 and 44.
- the end of the slide 40 is released and releases the retractable ring 15 which can thus be removed freely.
- the retractable ring 15 has an opening 19 to allow the fixing of a padlock, as well as an opening 31 to allow the passage of a sealing wire.
- the prior electrical cut-off authorizes mechanical locking which prevents unauthorized reactivation of the electrical circuit as long as the mechanical locking remains.
