Beim Übergang von der Schließlage in die Öffnungslage und umgekehrt durchlaufen die Paneele einen bogenförmigen Führungsbereich zwischen dem etwa vertikal gerichteten geradlinigen Führungsabschnitt für die Schließstellung und dem etwa horizontal verlaufenden Führungsabschnitt für die Offenstellung des Torblattes. Zu diesem Zwecke sind die Paneele mittels Scharnieren miteinander verbunden, deren Scharnierachse sich an der Torinnenblattseite, als derjenigen, die sich dem Inneren des mit dem Torblatt zu verschließenden Gebäudes zuwendet, befinden. Beim Durchlaufen des bogenförmigen Bereiches entfernen sich im Zuge der Schwenkbewegung somit die nach außen hin gerichteten Breitseiten der Paneele, so daß nach außen hin ein von der Größenordnung des Verschwenkwinkels abhängig breiter Spalt entsteht, in welchem man mit den Fingern der Hand eingreifen kann. Dazu kann man veranlaßt sein, um das Torblatt insoweit nicht sachgerecht zu schließen, es kann sich aber auch um ein ungewolltes Eingreifen der Finger handeln.
