Definitions
- the invention relates to a panel for a sectional door, the door leaf of which is formed from a number of hinged rectangular panels and each one of the narrow sides of one of the panels with the corresponding narrow side of the preceding panel and the other narrow side of this panel cooperating with the corresponding narrow side of the following panel , sealing strips being inserted between the cooperating narrow side of two adjacent panels.
- Sectional doors are essentially one of a number of provided the same panels composite door leaf, the door leaf being moved to open the door such that it is deflected in the area of the lintel of the door opening by about 90 ° and is in the "open position" without any significant need for additional height under the ceiling.
- the panels that are hinged to one another are guided over a curved path, opening the gaps between the longitudinal narrow sides between two adjacent panels.
- Such a sectional door is described for example in DE-GM 87 10 951.
- the hinged panels should be as close as possible to one another in the "closed position", on the one hand to ensure the desired tightness and on the other to prevent accidents, for example by preventing a finger from being inserted into the gap between two adjacent panels.
- the panels have convex surfaces on their upper longitudinal narrow sides in vertical section, the concave surfaces provided on the lower longitudinal narrow sides of these panels, in vertical section concave surfaces in the sense of sliding one below the other Avoid the formation of stomata.
- Sealing strips which seal the panels against one another, are arranged between these longitudinal narrow sides designed in this way.
- the utility model suggests that these sealing strips are attached to both mutually facing longitudinal narrow sides of two adjacent panels or on one of their longitudinal narrow sides and drawn into the gap and possibly folded there.
- this proposed design is extremely complex to manufacture, on the other hand, the sealing strips are subjected to alternating stresses, which can easily lead to premature breakage, especially when the elasticity of the sealing strip material is reduced, for example by low outside temperatures or by material aging.
- a narrow side of each of the panels is provided with a longitudinal groove that receives the sealing strip and has a recess in the area of this groove, that the sealing strip is provided with a sealing lip pointing away from the narrow side, and that the other narrow side of the panel has a longitudinally running sealing groove which receives the sealing lip and is square in cross section, with a sealing groove which closes this to the outside and, in cooperation with the outer wall of the groove in the closed state of the door leaf, has the gap between the panel and the subsequent overlapping web, wherein the length of the diagonal of the sealing groove facing the central plane of the panel is at most equal to the length of the sealing lip, and wherein the width of the recess corresponds at least to the height of the cover and its depth corresponds approximately to the thickness of the cover.
- the interaction of the sealing strips inserted into the grooves of the upper longitudinal narrow sides with the walls of the channels is such that when the transition from the open position, in which two adjacent panels form an angle of up to about 60 ° with one another, into the closed position, the sealing lip at the free end of the sealing strip is immersed in the sealing channel and there lies against the inner wall of the channel, which is directed towards the central plane, in order ultimately to the Er reach the closed position in the angle between this wall facing the outer shell and that which runs approximately parallel to the outer shell, is pressed in and seals there.
- the groove depth and the projection of the sealing lip of the sealing strip are coordinated.
- Such panels are advantageously provided with a groove on the narrow side of each of the panels assigned to the overlap region and provided with the sealing strip, for receiving the seal, which extends as the longitudinal direction of the panels and which has a foot for insertion into the groove, and an elastic molded onto it Has sealing lip, wherein the direction of the sealing lip forms an angle with the central plane of the foot, which is preferably at least 30 °.
- a recess is provided in the area of the outer shell, which forms a recessed, overlapped area and is covered by an overlapping area of the neighboring panel when the door leaf is closed. This overlap closes the gap between two panels, which is also sealed by the sealing strip provided in this gap.
- the formation of the narrow side assigned to the overlapped area and the sealing strip to be used ensures a good seal in the gap between two successive panels assigned to one another in the door leaf.
- each panel is provided with a circumferential frame with frame legs made of, in particular, two mutually parallel, thermally separated profiles, with at least one frame field, which is closed by an in particular double and thermally separated filling.
- the panels produced as a shell construction are assembled from an outer shell and an inner shell, which at least interact with one another Kenden narrow sides are connected to each other, and a core arranged between the two, in particular thermally separating.
- the profile of the one of the interacting frame legs of two adjacent panels is provided with the projection which runs essentially flush with the front side and forms the sealing groove, and the corresponding profile of the other narrow side has a recess which enables an essentially flush overlapping as well as Groove for inserting the seal, the depth of the recess roughly corresponding to the thickness and its height at least the height of the overlapping projections, and wherein the frame profiles are preferably extruded aluminum profiles.
- the aluminum extrusion profiles allow almost any shape, so that the groove receiving the sealing strip, the sealing groove, into which the sealing lip of the sealing strip is immersed, can be molded in a simple manner.
- extruded plastic profiles that are important in window and door technology can also be used.
- the essentially flat outer and inner shells of the panels have free edge strips on the two narrow sides, each of which is bent towards the inside, and which are used to form the folds, grooves or sealing grooves provided on the corresponding narrow sides.
- both the outer fold of the groove receiving the sealing strip and the fold delimiting the sealing groove are formed, while the sealing groove is formed essentially from the free edge strip of the inner shell.
- the free edge strip of the inner shell is guided up to close to these folds and preferably with them by folding, but also by gluing, welding or the like. connected with each other; to connect, the screw connection of the two panels may also be used connecting hinges also used.
- the outer shell advantageously has, in the area of the narrow side provided with the sealing strip, a recess which enables flush overlapping, which merges into the outer fold for receiving the sealing strip and over which the lower fold, which delimits the sealing groove on the outside, lies .
- the recess provided in the overlapped area enables an essentially flush overlap, the overlapped recess and the overlapping fold being coordinated in depth and height in such a way that the essentially flush overlapping is ensured.
- the depth of the recesses approximately the thickness and their height, are set up in such a way that they correspond at least to the height or the thickness of the webs or folds which overlap to cover.
- the two shells have no direct connection.
- both free edge strips of each of the narrow sides are first folded to the central plane of the panels and folded again at a distance from the edge so that the free edge strips together with the shells form approximately a "U"
- the length of the connecting legs of the "U” thus being equal are coordinated that on the one hand the intended thickness of the panel is reached and on the other hand a distance between the two facing legs of the "U” is guaranteed.
- the core then connects the two shells to one another, a core which is lined up between the shells foaming around and thus foaming in these free legs of the two "U” and firmly connecting them to one another without metallic contact.
- the shells are made from sheet metal by deformation.
- the grooves can be incorporated in a simple and economical way, it being irrelevant which task is assigned to the individual groove.
- the connection of the outer shell and the inner shell using the protrusions or the grooves, which can be designed as fold connectors, has proven particularly advantageous.
- a closed visible surface results both for panels in frame and shell construction if the outer sides or the outer shells have recesses in the area of the first, upper grooves, the depth of which corresponds to the thickness and the height of at least the height of the second lower folds. This creates an overlap that, on the one hand, ensures tightness e.g. improved against driving rain and on the other hand offers a calm view, especially if the outer shell is provided with transverse beads and the width of the transverse bead-like groove formed by the recess corresponds to the beads of the outer shell.
- the shell construction allows simple and economical manufacturing processes with which the connection between the outer shell and the inner shell on the longitudinal narrow sides can be made differently can:
- the inner shell is folded in the area of the longitudinal narrow sides towards the outer shell, so that it (including the side union narrow sides) has the shape of a drawer or a cake tray.
- the narrow sides are connected to each other in a conventional manner.
- the long sides are connected in such a way that the groove is created on the top and the groove on the bottom.
- the free end of the outward-facing edge is provided with a fold corresponding to the first protruding fold, where both free ends of the folds are directed towards one another and are connected to one another.
- This connection can be done by folding or by gluing, welding, or the like.
- the free edge strip of the fold of the fold of the inner shell is expediently inserted into the first protruding fold of the outer shell.
- Another possibility is to deform the free edge strip of the first protruding fold of the outer shell so that it forms the groove and the inner fold, which corresponds to the first protruding fold, the free edge strip of the edging of the inner shell in the region of the upper longitudinal narrow edge is folded with this inner fold.
- another connection method can be considered, in which the free edge strips after the formation of the groove (it is immaterial whether both folds from the edge strip of the outer shell or a fold from the edge strip the outer shell and a fold are formed by the edge strip of the inner shell) so that they protrude into the area of the core and are foamed while foaming and glued by the foam mass.
- a connection can also be made by screwing, the screw connection of the screwed-on hinges between two adjacent panels being expediently used.
- the inner shell is backed with a reinforcing strip, this type the shell connection has a special stiffening that also affects the hinge attachment.
- the edge strip of the inner shell is folded back towards the outer shell and folded back at a right angle to form the channel, so that this part of the edge strip, which is the wall facing the inside the gutter forms, runs parallel to the inner shell.
- this strip is then folded back towards the outer shell, in order to finally run parallel to the outer shell into its lower, second protruding fold and to be connected to the outer shell by this fold connection.
- the cross section of the channel is advantageously trapezoidal, so that the height of the inner side wall is greater than that of the outer side wall located towards the outer shell.
- edge strip forming the lower, second projecting fold of the outer shell is folded towards the inner shell in accordance with the cross-sectional shape of the channel and the free edge strip of the inner shell is folded towards the outer shell following the inner side wall and both Edge strips in the region of the gutter boundary are connected to one another by welding, gluing or the like.
- the protruding sealing lip adjoins the groove, which is advantageously formed like a speargun web for better anchoring in the groove, and has a protrusion towards the level of the outer shell opposite the foot.
- the thickness of this overhang corresponds to the thickness of the first upper fold; this ensures “alignment” with the outside of this fold and thus also with the plane of the outer shell or with the retraction of the outer shell in the area of this fold.
- the outer contour of the sealing lip adjoins this protrusion at an angle, so that it can safely dip into the channel of the preceding panel.
- Their length is advantageously designed so that the largest gap width occurring in the area of the deflection of the panels is covered; the gap occurring there is secured against intervention.
- FIG. 1 shows a perspective section from a door leaf 1 of a sectional door.
- the door leaf 1 is composed of a number of panels 2 arranged one above the other (or in the open position next to one another), each of which is articulated in pairs with its upper longitudinal narrow edges 3.1 and at its lower longitudinal narrow edges 3.2 (FIGS. 2, 3). If the gate is opened, the panels 2 run through a curved path, the panel 2 located in the region of this curve being transferred from the vertical closed to the horizontal open position.
- the panels are delimited by an outer shell 10.1 and an inner shell 10.2, the space between the shells being filled with a core 5. The articulation takes place by means of the hinges 8 (FIGS.
- the outer shell 10.1 has transverse beads 4, which are also used for stiffening.
- the upper longitudinal narrow side 3.1 (FIG. 3) is provided with a sealing strip 7 inserted into a groove 6 (FIGS. 4, 5, 6) formed by an outer fold 11.1 and an inner fold 11.2, which sealing strip 7 is provided in the lower longitudinal narrow side 4 Sealing groove 9 engages.
- a lower fold 13 closes the panel 2 at the bottom and limits the sealing groove 9 to the outside.
- these lower folds 13 In order to be able to bring these lower folds 13 into contact with the outer shells 10.1 of the adjacent follow-up panels 2, they are each provided in the area of the groove 6 on the upper narrow side 3.1 with a recess 18 which receives the lower fold 13 of the respective preceding panel .
- the depth of the recess 18 corresponds to the thickness of the lower one Overlap, here of the lower fold 13, the height of the recess is selected according to the height of the overlap, advantageously such that when the lower fold 13 is applied, a depression corresponding to the width of the transverse beads 4 remains.
- FIGS. 2 and 3 show a section through one of the panels 2, to which neighboring panels 2 are articulated on both sides (shown broken off).
- FIG. 2 shows the panels 2 in an embodiment with an encircling frame 20.
- This encircling frame 20 is formed by individual profiles.
- the profiles 21.1 and 21.2 to be seen in section form the profile pair on the upper longitudinal narrow side of the panel 2, the profile pair 22.1 and 22.2 form the profile on the lower longitudinal narrow side, these profiles being subdivided for better thermal separation with connectors 23 united into one unit.
- This frame technique is known from the usual door and window construction.
- the inner field that remains open in the embodiment with a peripheral frame 20 is closed with a filling 24, which is shown here in two plates with an outer plate 24.1 and an inner plate 24.2.
- Both plates are kept at a distance from each other with a spacer block 25.
- This construction is also known from insulating glass panels.
- the profiles 21.1 and 22.1 each arranged on the outside now have the groove 6 or the sealing groove 9. Since these profiles are advantageously produced as extruded profiles made of metal or as extruded profiles made of plastic, it is possible without difficulty to provide the groove 6 and the sealing groove 9 from the outset by appropriate shaping, so that the production is extremely economical. Also, the sealing channel 9 closing the web 22.1 to the outside, as well as the recess 28 receiving this web when covered, can already be taken into account in the design, so that no special reworking is required here either.
- the profiles are cut to length in a simple manner and put together to form the desired size.
- FIG. 3 shows an embodiment with a shell.
- each of the panels 2 consists of the outer shell 10.1 and the inner shell 10.2, between which the core 5 is arranged.
- both shells 10.1 and 10.2 are formed or connected to one another in such a way that in the area of the upper longitudinal narrow side 3.1, a sealing strip 7 accommodating the first upper fold 11.1 of the outer shell and a second upper fold 11.2, which the The first essentially identical, formed groove 6 is formed, while in the region of the lower longitudinal narrow side a sealing groove 9, which cooperates with the sealing strip 7 of the following panels 2 and is limited to the outer shell 10.1 by a lower fold 13, is formed.
- the sealing lip 7.1 of the sealing strip 7 lies against an inner sealing edge 9.1 at the bottom of the sealing groove 9.
- the articulation itself is brought about by hinges 8 attached to the inside of the panels, which are connected to the inner shell 10.2 or screw connections 8.2 are firmly connected under this arranged reinforcing inserts 8.1.
- Figures 4 to 7 show details of panels 2 in the embodiment in shell construction with differently designed connections between the outer shells 10.1 and the inner shells 10.2.
- the outer shell 10.1 apart from the recess 18 and any transverse beads 4 which may be present, is essentially flat.
- the outer shell 10.1 On both longitudinal narrow sides 3.1, the outer shell 10.1 has edge strips 14.1 and 15.2 which are folded inwards.
- the inside Shell 10.2 is provided in the area of the upper and lower longitudinal narrow sides 3.1 and 3.2 with edge strips 14.2 and 15.2 folded over to the outer shell 10.1.
- the folded edge 12.2 in the area of the upper longitudinal narrow side 3.1 is formed into a fold 11.2 which corresponds to the first upper fold 11.1 of the outer shell 10.1 and with which the folded free edge strip 14.2 of the inner shell 10.2 is folded, with the fold between the folds 11.1 and 11.2 formed laterally by this, the sealing strip 7 receiving groove 6.
- a corresponding deformation of the edge 15.2 of the inner shell 10.2 present there is provided: by means of edges, the sealing groove 9 with a trapezoidal cross section is created.
- the free edge strip 15.2 forms the slope of the trapezoid that is inclined towards the outer shell 10 and is folded with the lower fold 13 of the outer shell 10.1.
- connection of outer shell 10.1 and inner shell 10.2 shown in FIG. 5 corresponds in the region of the lower longitudinal narrow side 3.2 to that shown in FIG. 4.
- connection of the two shells is designed such that the free edge strip 14.2 of the inner shell 10.2 ends in the region of the groove 9 and there with a free edge strip 14.1 of the outer shell 10.1, which extends beyond the first upper fold 11.1, basically the groove 6 is connected.
- connection shown in FIG. 6 has in the sealing groove 9 lying in the area of the lower longitudinal narrow side 3.2 an overlap of the free edge strip 15.2 of the fold coming from the inner shell and of the free edge strip 15.1 continuing from the lower fold 13 of the outer shell 10.1, the Edge strips in the overlap area, advantageously in the area of the inclined surface of the trapezoid, are connected to one another.
- FIG. 7 shows a variant which is of particular interest for panels 2 with foamed core 5:
- the free edge strips 14.1 of the outer shell 10.1 and 14.2 of the inner shell 10.2 in the region of the upper longitudinal narrow side and the free edge strips 15.1 and 15.2 of Outer and inner shells 10.1 and 10.2 in the area of the lower longitudinal narrow side 3.2 are folded into the area of the core 5 and the two shells 10.1 and 10.2 are over these free edge strips 14.1 and 14.2 and 15.1 and 15.2 in the area of the upper longitudinal narrow side 3.1 and the lower Longitudinal narrow side 3.2 with and held together by the core.
- FIG. 8 shows a cross section through the sealing strip 7.
- the sealing strip 7 is inserted with its foot 7.2 into the groove 6 (FIGS. 2, 3) and is held there by elastic deformation of the foot 7.2 designed like a speargun web, a longitudinal slot 7.4 increasing the flexibility and the insertion of the sealing strip into the groove 6 facilitated.
- the sealing strip 7 sits with a nose 7.3 on the groove walls.
- the sealing lip 7.1 points at an angle from the foot 7.2 to the inner shell in such a way that when the transition from the open position to the closed position or vice versa, it runs in and out of the lower web 22.1 or fold 13 into the sealing groove 9.
- the nose 7.3 provided in the transition from the foot 7.2 to the sealing lip 7.1 is designed in its part facing the outer shell in such a way that its thickness corresponds to the thickness of the first upper fold 11.1 and it lies over the fold bending.
- the nose 7.3 directed towards the outside lying over the web delimiting the outside of the groove 6.
- this design ensures that the risk of crushing in the area of the closing gap between two panels 2 is prevented.
- a secure sealing is guaranteed when the panels are designed, irrespective of whether in frame or shell construction, which can be economically produced using conventional means.

Abstract
Description
The invention relates to a panel for a sectional door, the door leaf of which is formed from a number of hinged rectangular panels and each one of the narrow sides of one of the panels with the corresponding narrow side of the preceding panel and the other narrow side of this panel cooperating with the corresponding narrow side of the following panel , sealing strips being inserted between the cooperating narrow side of two adjacent panels.
Sectional doors are essentially one of a number of provided the same panels composite door leaf, the door leaf being moved to open the door such that it is deflected in the area of the lintel of the door opening by about 90 ° and is in the "open position" without any significant need for additional height under the ceiling. In the area of the deflection, the panels that are hinged to one another are guided over a curved path, opening the gaps between the longitudinal narrow sides between two adjacent panels. Such a sectional door is described for example in DE-GM 87 10 951. The hinged panels should be as close as possible to one another in the "closed position", on the one hand to ensure the desired tightness and on the other to prevent accidents, for example by preventing a finger from being inserted into the gap between two adjacent panels. According to the teaching of DE-GM 87 10 951, this is to be achieved in that the panels have convex surfaces on their upper longitudinal narrow sides in vertical section, the concave surfaces provided on the lower longitudinal narrow sides of these panels, in vertical section concave surfaces in the sense of sliding one below the other Avoid the formation of stomata. Sealing strips, which seal the panels against one another, are arranged between these longitudinal narrow sides designed in this way. For this purpose, the utility model suggests that these sealing strips are attached to both mutually facing longitudinal narrow sides of two adjacent panels or on one of their longitudinal narrow sides and drawn into the gap and possibly folded there. On the one hand, this proposed design is extremely complex to manufacture, on the other hand, the sealing strips are subjected to alternating stresses, which can easily lead to premature breakage, especially when the elasticity of the sealing strip material is reduced, for example by low outside temperatures or by material aging.
This is where the invention comes in, which is based on the task of proposing a design of the panels of a sectional door, which without Dispensing with safety requirements are simple and economical to manufacture and meet the requirements for tightness.
This object is achieved in that a narrow side of each of the panels is provided with a longitudinal groove that receives the sealing strip and has a recess in the area of this groove, that the sealing strip is provided with a sealing lip pointing away from the narrow side, and that the other narrow side of the panel has a longitudinally running sealing groove which receives the sealing lip and is square in cross section, with a sealing groove which closes this to the outside and, in cooperation with the outer wall of the groove in the closed state of the door leaf, has the gap between the panel and the subsequent overlapping web, wherein the length of the diagonal of the sealing groove facing the central plane of the panel is at most equal to the length of the sealing lip, and wherein the width of the recess corresponds at least to the height of the cover and its depth corresponds approximately to the thickness of the cover. The overlaps in the plane from the outside of the panels ensure, on the one hand, a clean and essentially flush finish, and on the other hand, on the narrow sides of each of the panels, there is a simple, technically advantageous possibility of forming the groove for receiving the sealing strip the upper longitudinal narrow sides and the channels on the lower longitudinal narrow sides.
The interaction of the sealing strips inserted into the grooves of the upper longitudinal narrow sides with the walls of the channels is such that when the transition from the open position, in which two adjacent panels form an angle of up to about 60 ° with one another, into the closed position, the sealing lip at the free end of the sealing strip is immersed in the sealing channel and there lies against the inner wall of the channel, which is directed towards the central plane, in order ultimately to the Er reach the closed position in the angle between this wall facing the outer shell and that which runs approximately parallel to the outer shell, is pressed in and seals there. It goes without saying that the groove depth and the projection of the sealing lip of the sealing strip are coordinated.
Such panels are advantageously provided with a groove on the narrow side of each of the panels assigned to the overlap region and provided with the sealing strip, for receiving the seal, which extends as the longitudinal direction of the panels and which has a foot for insertion into the groove, and an elastic molded onto it Has sealing lip, wherein the direction of the sealing lip forms an angle with the central plane of the foot, which is preferably at least 30 °. A recess is provided in the area of the outer shell, which forms a recessed, overlapped area and is covered by an overlapping area of the neighboring panel when the door leaf is closed. This overlap closes the gap between two panels, which is also sealed by the sealing strip provided in this gap. The formation of the narrow side assigned to the overlapped area and the sealing strip to be used ensures a good seal in the gap between two successive panels assigned to one another in the door leaf.
There are two main designs for the manufacture of the panels: the frame construction and the shell construction. In the frame construction, each panel is provided with a circumferential frame with frame legs made of, in particular, two mutually parallel, thermally separated profiles, with at least one frame field, which is closed by an in particular double and thermally separated filling. The panels produced as a shell construction are assembled from an outer shell and an inner shell, which at least interact with one another Kenden narrow sides are connected to each other, and a core arranged between the two, in particular thermally separating.
In the frame construction, the profile of the one of the interacting frame legs of two adjacent panels is provided with the projection which runs essentially flush with the front side and forms the sealing groove, and the corresponding profile of the other narrow side has a recess which enables an essentially flush overlapping as well as Groove for inserting the seal, the depth of the recess roughly corresponding to the thickness and its height at least the height of the overlapping projections, and wherein the frame profiles are preferably extruded aluminum profiles. The aluminum extrusion profiles allow almost any shape, so that the groove receiving the sealing strip, the sealing groove, into which the sealing lip of the sealing strip is immersed, can be molded in a simple manner. In addition to extruded aluminum profiles, extruded plastic profiles that are important in window and door technology can also be used.
In the case of the shell construction, the essentially flat outer and inner shells of the panels have free edge strips on the two narrow sides, each of which is bent towards the inside, and which are used to form the folds, grooves or sealing grooves provided on the corresponding narrow sides. In each of the embodiments, both the outer fold of the groove receiving the sealing strip and the fold delimiting the sealing groove are formed, while the sealing groove is formed essentially from the free edge strip of the inner shell. The free edge strip of the inner shell is guided up to close to these folds and preferably with them by folding, but also by gluing, welding or the like. connected with each other; to connect, the screw connection of the two panels may also be used connecting hinges also used.
In the area of the overlap, the outer shell advantageously has, in the area of the narrow side provided with the sealing strip, a recess which enables flush overlapping, which merges into the outer fold for receiving the sealing strip and over which the lower fold, which delimits the sealing groove on the outside, lies . The recess provided in the overlapped area enables an essentially flush overlap, the overlapped recess and the overlapping fold being coordinated in depth and height in such a way that the essentially flush overlapping is ensured. For this purpose, the depth of the recesses, approximately the thickness and their height, are set up in such a way that they correspond at least to the height or the thickness of the webs or folds which overlap to cover.
In the case of another connection, which can advantageously be used with foamed cores, the two shells have no direct connection. Here both free edge strips of each of the narrow sides are first folded to the central plane of the panels and folded again at a distance from the edge so that the free edge strips together with the shells form approximately a "U", the length of the connecting legs of the "U" thus being equal are coordinated that on the one hand the intended thickness of the panel is reached and on the other hand a distance between the two facing legs of the "U" is guaranteed. The core then connects the two shells to one another, a core which is lined up between the shells foaming around and thus foaming in these free legs of the two "U" and firmly connecting them to one another without metallic contact. It goes without saying that this connection can also be obtained with non-foamed cores, for example if a core insert is inserted between the shell and the "U" side facing the shell, and if between cores provided with cores Shells a core layer as a spacer is inserted. The shells are then connected in the manner known from the construction of shell doors.
In this construction, the shells are made from sheet metal by deformation. The grooves can be incorporated in a simple and economical way, it being irrelevant which task is assigned to the individual groove. The connection of the outer shell and the inner shell using the protrusions or the grooves, which can be designed as fold connectors, has proven particularly advantageous.
A closed visible surface results both for panels in frame and shell construction if the outer sides or the outer shells have recesses in the area of the first, upper grooves, the depth of which corresponds to the thickness and the height of at least the height of the second lower folds. This creates an overlap that, on the one hand, ensures tightness e.g. improved against driving rain and on the other hand offers a calm view, especially if the outer shell is provided with transverse beads and the width of the transverse bead-like groove formed by the recess corresponds to the beads of the outer shell.
While in the frame construction the surrounding frames are assembled from the profiles and the frame openings are closed with appropriate fillings, which can also be adapted architecturally to the requirements, the shell construction allows simple and economical manufacturing processes with which the connection between the outer shell and the inner shell on the longitudinal narrow sides can be made differently can:
The inner shell is folded in the area of the longitudinal narrow sides towards the outer shell, so that it (including the side union narrow sides) has the shape of a drawer or a cake tray. The narrow sides are connected to each other in a conventional manner. The long sides are connected in such a way that the groove is created on the top and the groove on the bottom. In order to realize the connection in the area of the upper longitudinal narrow side, the free end of the outward-facing edge is provided with a fold corresponding to the first protruding fold, where both free ends of the folds are directed towards one another and are connected to one another. This connection can be done by folding or by gluing, welding, or the like. For folding, the free edge strip of the fold of the fold of the inner shell is expediently inserted into the first protruding fold of the outer shell.
Another possibility is to deform the free edge strip of the first protruding fold of the outer shell so that it forms the groove and the inner fold, which corresponds to the first protruding fold, the free edge strip of the edging of the inner shell in the region of the upper longitudinal narrow edge is folded with this inner fold. Finally, with regard to the foaming of the shells with a foamed core, another connection method can be considered, in which the free edge strips after the formation of the groove (it is immaterial whether both folds from the edge strip of the outer shell or a fold from the edge strip the outer shell and a fold are formed by the edge strip of the inner shell) so that they protrude into the area of the core and are foamed while foaming and glued by the foam mass. Instead of this bonding, a connection can also be made by screwing, the screw connection of the screwed-on hinges between two adjacent panels being expediently used. Apart from the fact that in the area of the hinge screw connection, the inner shell is backed with a reinforcing strip, this type the shell connection has a special stiffening that also affects the hinge attachment.
Basically, the same applies to the connection of the outer shell and the inner shell in the area of the lower longitudinal narrow side: The edge strip of the inner shell is folded back towards the outer shell and folded back at a right angle to form the channel, so that this part of the edge strip, which is the wall facing the inside the gutter forms, runs parallel to the inner shell. Depending on the groove depth, this strip is then folded back towards the outer shell, in order to finally run parallel to the outer shell into its lower, second protruding fold and to be connected to the outer shell by this fold connection. The cross section of the channel is advantageously trapezoidal, so that the height of the inner side wall is greater than that of the outer side wall located towards the outer shell. Another possibility of fastening results from the fact that the edge strip forming the lower, second projecting fold of the outer shell is folded towards the inner shell in accordance with the cross-sectional shape of the channel and the free edge strip of the inner shell is folded towards the outer shell following the inner side wall and both Edge strips in the region of the gutter boundary are connected to one another by welding, gluing or the like. Finally, it is also possible, particularly in the case of panels foamed to form the core, to fold the free edge strips of the inner shells to form the inner channel wall running parallel to the inner shell and to let them run into the core area, and also to allow the free edge strips of the outer shell, which Form the outer gutter side and the upper gutter side. When foaming, the two free edges of each panel lying parallel to and close to each other are then foamed and, if necessary, also glued together by the foam material. For special stiffening, a screw connection can also be provided here, which closes with the hinge screw connection interacts.
A special detail lies in the sealing strip: the protruding sealing lip adjoins the groove, which is advantageously formed like a speargun web for better anchoring in the groove, and has a protrusion towards the level of the outer shell opposite the foot. The thickness of this overhang corresponds to the thickness of the first upper fold; this ensures "alignment" with the outside of this fold and thus also with the plane of the outer shell or with the retraction of the outer shell in the area of this fold. The outer contour of the sealing lip adjoins this protrusion at an angle, so that it can safely dip into the channel of the preceding panel. Their length is advantageously designed so that the largest gap width occurring in the area of the deflection of the panels is covered; the gap occurring there is secured against intervention.

Figures 4 to 7 show details of
The connection of outer shell 10.1 and inner shell 10.2 shown in FIG. 5 corresponds in the region of the lower longitudinal narrow side 3.2 to that shown in FIG. 4. In the area of the upper longitudinal narrow side 3.1, on the other hand, the connection of the two shells is designed such that the free edge strip 14.2 of the inner shell 10.2 ends in the region of the
The connection shown in FIG. 6 has in the sealing
Finally, FIG. 7 shows a variant which is of particular interest for
