Description

Die Erfindung betrifft eine Anordnung zur Reinigung eines Backofens nach dem Oberbegriff des Patentanspruches 1.
Es sind bereits Backöfen bekannt, bei denen sowohl der unterhalb der Muffel angeordnete Heizkörper als auch der oberhalb der Muffel angeordnete Heizkörper neben dem Backen bzw. dem sonstigen Zubereiten von Speisen in der Muffel auch für eine sogenannte katalytische Selbstreinigung der Muffel benutzt wird. Dabei wird der Muffelinnenraum auf eine hohe Temperatur (> 550°C) gebracht, um verunreinigte Stellen an den Muffelinnenwänden zu entfernen.
Diese katalytische Selbstreinigung ist mit einer Reihe von Nachteilen verbunden. Zunächst erfordert die katalytische Selbstreinigung, wie bereits erwähnt, eine relativ hohe Temperatur. Diese Temperatur ist dabei so zu wählen, daß einerseits der gewünschte Reinigungseffekt erzielt werden kann, daß andererseits aber auch Beschädigungen bzw. eine allmähliche Zerstörung des Backofeninnenraums vermieden wird.
Die katalytische Selbstreinigung erfordert einen hohen Energieeinsatz und ist auch mit dem weiteren Nachteil verbunden, daß der Backofen bei einer Reinigung während einer relativ langen Zeit anderweitig nicht genutzt werden kann. Diese Zeit setzt sich aus der Zeit zusammen, in der die Betriebstemperatur gebildet wird, aus der Zeit der eigentlichen Reinigung und schließlich aus der Zeit, die erforderlich ist, den Backofen wieder auf eine Temperatur abzukühlen, die eine gefahrlose Bedienung des Backofens erlaubt.
Aus der deutschen Offenlegungsschrift DE-A-28 42 771 ist eine Vorrichtung und ein Verfahren zur Wärmebehandlung von Nahrungsmitteln, insbesondere zur Zubereitung von Speisen bekannt, bei der zur Reinigung des Backofens mit einer Muffel der Backofen einen Behälter zur Aufnahme eines flüssigen Reinigungsmittels aufweist, welches aus dem Behälter bedarfsweise entnehmbar ist. Das bedarfsweise entnommene Reinigungsmittel wird durch einen Sprühmechanismus in den Muffelraum des Backofens eingesprüht.
Ausgehend von von diesem Stand der Technik liegt der Erfindung die Aufgabe zugrunde, eine Anordnung der eingangs genannten Art anzugeben, die die Selbstreinigung von Backöfen vereinfacht.
Diese Aufgabe wird erfindungsgemäß mit den Merkmalen des Patentanspruchs 1 gelöst. Die erfindungsgemäße Anordnung zeichnet sich durch den Vorteil aus, daß das Reinigungsmittel im Backofen selbst bevorratet wird und damit für Reinigungsvorgänge zur Verfügung steht. Das Reinigungsmittel läßt sich selbsttätig In den Bereich des Backofenmuffelbodens zuführen, so daß sich eine manuelle Zufuhr erübrigt. Das Reinigungsmittel löst bereits bei der Raumtemperatur Verunreinigungen. Es kann jedoch auch erwärmt werden, so daß sich die Reinigungszeit verkürzt. Ferner kann das Reinigungsmittel bis zu seiner Verdampfung erwärmt werden, so daß es auch an die Seitenwände der Muffel und an die Decke gelangt und dort ebenfalls Verunreinigungen ablöst.
Hierzu ist eine vergleichsweise geringe Betriebstemperatur von etwa 50 bis 70°C erforderlich. Der Backofen und insbesondere die Muffel wird durch diese Temperatur, die weit unterhalb der maximalen Betriebstemperatur, zum Beispiel für bestimmte Back- und Bratvorgänge liegt, nicht beeinträchtigt. Entsprechend der vergleichsweise geringen Temperatur für die Reinigung wird für Reinigung eine nur kurze Zeit beansprucht, so daß sich der Backofen entsprechend lange für seinen bestimmungsgemäßen Gebrauch einsetzen läßt.
Ein weiterer besonderer Vorteil der erfindungsgemäßen Anordnung besteht in dem für die Reinigung erforderlichen, nur geringen Energieeinsatz. Dies gilt insbesondere für Ausführungsformen der Erfindung, bei denen das Reinigungsmittel durch die Restwärme (ca. 70 - 120°C) erwärmt wird.
In diesem Zusammenhang kann der Behälter, in dem das Reinigungsmittel bevorratet wird, in der Weise benachbart zur Backofenmuffel angeordnet sein, daß der Behälterinhalt durch die von der Backofenmuffel abgegebene Wärme erwärmt wird.
Die Erfindung wird nun anhand der Zeichnung beschrieben.
Diese zeigt in perspektivischer Darstellung einen Backofen mit einer Muffel M, die beispielsweise in einem Elektrobackofen angeordnet ist. Die erfindungsgemäße Anordnung ist jedoch allgemein im Zusammenhang mit Backöfen einsetzbar. Die Muffel M ist quaderförmig ausgebildet. In ihrem Bodenbereich ist eine Vertiefung, insbesondere eine Wanne W angeordnet, die der Aufnahme eines Reinigungsmittels R, wie beispielsweise einer Spüllauge oder eines Email-Reinigers, dient. Muffel M oder Wanne W können einteilig ausgebildet sein, alternativ ist eine separate Wanne W vorgesehen.
Oberhalb der Muffel M ist ein Dosierbehälter B angeordnet, der das Reinigungsmittel enthält. Der Dosierbehälter B ist über ein Magnetventil MV mit einer Verbindungsleitung VL verbunden, die in die Wanne W führt. Am Übergang der Verbindungsleitung VL zur Wanne ist ein in der Figur nicht dargestellter Hygieneverschluß vorgesehen.
In der Wanne W ist ein Restwärmefühler RWF angeordnet, der über eine Siganlleitung und ggf. einen Schalter mit dem Magnetventil verbunden ist. Bei geschlossenem Schalter werden vom Restwärmefühler RWF abgegebene Signale dem Magnetventil MV zugeführt. Erkennt der Restwärmefühler RWF Temperaturen, zum Beispiel im Bereich von 70 - 120°C, bildet er Signale, die das Magnetventil MV öffnen. Damit wird der Abfluß einer vorgebbaren Menge des Reinigungmittels R aus dem Behälter B freigegeben. Es fließt über die Verbindungsleitung VL in die Wanne W, wo es durch die Restwärme erwärmt und verdampft wird. Die Verunreinigungen am Boden der Wanne werden zum einen chemisch gelöst. Zum anderen werden eingebrannte Rückstände aufgurnd der Temperaturdifferenz von Muffelboden und Reinigungsmittel gelöst.
Der Reinigungsvorgang kann, sofern kein Schalter mit Restwärmefühler und Magnetventil vorgesehen ist, bzw. dieser geschlossen ist, automatisch durch eine entsprechende Ansteuerung nach jedem Backbetrieb ausgelöst werden. Eine Signllampe SL, die von dem Restwärmefühler RWF angesteuert wird, zeigt den Reinigungsvorgang an.
Als Reinigungsmittel R wird beispielsweise eine Spüllauge oder ein Email-Reinigungsmittel benutzt.
Das verdampfte Reinigungsmittel löst Verunreinigungen an den Seitenwänden und an der Decke der Muffel M ab. Etwaige, noch verbleibende Verunreinigungen lassen sich relativ leicht manuell entfernen.
Das in die Wanne geführte Reinigungsmittel ist nach Zufuhr der Restwärme durch einen Heizkörper des Backofens, insbesondere durch den Unterhitzeheizkörper nacherwärmbar.

Claims (4)

  1. Anordnung zur Reinigung eines Backofens mit einer Muffel, wobei der Backofen einen Behälter (B) zur Aufnahme eines flüssigen Reinigungsmittels (R) aufweist und wobei aus dem Behälter (B) bedarfsweise das Reinigungsmittel (R) entnehmbar ist, dadurch gekennzeichnet, daß der Behälter (B) mit einem Verbindungskanal (VL) verbindbar ist, der in eine im Bereich des Muffelbodens angeordnete Wanne (W) führt.
  2. Anordnung nach Anspruch 1, dadurch gekennzeichnet, daß die Entnahme des Reinigungsmittels (R) mechanisch und-oder elektrisch steuerbar ist.
  3. Anordnung nach Anspruch 2, dadurch gekennzeichnet, daß der Backofen einen Restwärmefühler (RWF) aufweist, und daß die Entnahme des Reinigungsmittels (R) in die Wanne (W) in Abhängigkeit von Restwärmefühler (RWF) abgegebener Steuersignale steuerbar ist.
  4. Anordnung nach Anspruch 3, dadurch gekennzeichnet, daß das in die Wanne (W) geführte Reinigungsmittel (R) nach Zufuhr der Restwärme durch einen Heizkörper des Backofens nacherwärmbar ist.
