Definitions
- the present invention relates to a lifting device for pivotable furniture parts of a piece of furniture, which includes lifting scissors and an electromotive drive unit which essentially consists of a threaded spindle and a geared motor.
- a lifting device in question is known from DE-GM 91 03 817.
- This lifting device is designed in such a way that the DC gear motor has an internally driven nut which can be driven in rotation as the output member, so that the DC gear motor can be moved on a stationary threaded spindle. Depending on the direction in which the DC gear motor moves, the scissor arms are moved together or apart.
- This lifting device has proven itself in practice. It has now been found in this lifting device that the scissors contract automatically over part of the stroke, so that there is a risk of crushing. This crushing hazard is not only triggered by the lifting shears, but also by the pivoted furniture part, for example the foot or head part of a slatted frame. Another disadvantage is that after removing an object from the danger area the lifting device or the furniture part to be pivoted, the lifting device suddenly drops, due to the design of the lifting device.
- the present invention is based on the object of eliminating the risk of crushing both in the area of the lifting shears and in the area of the continuously adjustable furniture part, for example the head or foot part of a slatted frame. Furthermore, an abrupt lowering of the lifting shears is to be prevented if an object that hinders the movement has been removed from the danger area.
- the electromotive drive unit is equipped with a safety clutch, which essentially consists of two clutch disks provided with teeth in the outer peripheral edge, one clutch disk immovable and the other clutch disk axially displaceable and spring-loaded on the Threaded spindle is placed so that the teeth of the clutch discs are engaged in normal operation and come out of engagement when blocking the downward movement, since in this case a compressive force acts on the spindle.
- a safety clutch which essentially consists of two clutch disks provided with teeth in the outer peripheral edge, one clutch disk immovable and the other clutch disk axially displaceable and spring-loaded on the Threaded spindle is placed so that the teeth of the clutch discs are engaged in normal operation and come out of engagement when blocking the downward movement, since in this case a compressive force acts on the spindle.
- This proposed solution is particularly suitable when the danger of being crushed by the pivoted furniture part is to be excluded. To a certain extent, however, the proposed solution also applies if there is a risk of being crushed by the lifting shears.
- the invention makes use of the knowledge that the toothing of the two clutch disks are pressed together by the force applied by the spring so that a specific drive torque can still be transmitted. Is located when lowering the pivotable furniture part or when retracting the scissors, an object in the range of motion acts on the threaded spindle, so that it shifts axially and separates the two coupling halves. This interrupts the transmission of the drive torque so that there is no risk of being crushed.
- the spring presses the toothing of the clutch discs back into one another, so that the movement of the furniture part or the lifting scissors is continued immediately without the furniture part suddenly being lowered.
- the design effort is very low.
- the two clutch disks are expediently designed in the manner of a ring gear.
- the production of the clutch disks is then particularly simple since the corresponding circular ring surfaces only have to be toothed.
- the lifting scissors be associated with a safety track which extends essentially over its width and which is firmly clamped at one end and which can be wound up and unwound on a winding roll.
- the object is achieved by a sensor unit forming a contact or proximity detector with the metallic lifting scissors and by a control and evaluation unit for converting the signals the sensor unit in control signals for the electric motor drive.
- This electrical solution has the advantage that no additional mechanical components are required.
- a switching amplifier for amplifying the control signals is expediently assigned to the sensor unit and the control and evaluation unit, the switching amplifier containing the power supply device, so that the power supply to the sensor unit and the control and evaluation unit takes place only when the electromotive drive unit is switched on.
- This arrangement also has the advantage that said devices are only supplied with electrical energy when the electromotive drive unit is put into operation.
- the slatted frame 10 shown in FIG. 1 has a head part 11 which can be pivoted about a horizontal axis.
- This head part 11 can be pivoted by the lifting device 12 shown in FIG.
- the piece of slatted frame extending from the head part 11 to the end on the foot side can also be pivoted about a horizontal axis in the exemplary embodiment shown.
- the lifting device 12 includes lifting scissors which essentially consist of two scissor arms 13, 14 and two bars 15, 16.
- the left ends of the scissor arms 13, 14 in the illustration are rotatably mounted on bars 15, 16.
- the bearings are in the end areas.
- the opposite ends of the scissor arms 13, 14 are rotatably supported in sliders 17, 18, so that these ends of the scissor arms 13, 14 can move in the longitudinal direction of the spars 15, 16 when the lifting scissors are moved apart or moved together.
- the lifting device includes a horizontal threaded spindle 19, which is articulated at one end by means of a fork head 20 on an angle lever 21.
- the angle lever 21 is rotatably mounted in the end region of the scissor arm 14.
- a force transmission roller 22 which engages under the scissor arms 14 is arranged on the angle lever 21.
- a low-voltage direct current geared motor 23 is placed on the threaded spindle 19.
- the low-voltage direct current geared motor 23 has a rotating driven internal thread nut as the output member, so that when the low-voltage direct current geared motor 23 is switched on it moves on the threaded spindle 19 and, depending on the direction of travel, the scissor arms 13, 14 of the lifting shears move together or apart.
- FIG. 3 shows one possibility of how the movement of the lifting device 12 or that of the head part 11 to be adjusted can be stopped.
- a safety clutch 24, which essentially consists of two clutch disks 25, 26, is assigned to the low-voltage direct current geared motor 23.
- the clutch disc 25 is non-rotatably placed on the threaded spindle 19, and consequently can neither rotate nor move in the axial direction.
- the clutch disc 26 is pressed against the clutch disc 25 by a plate spring 27.
- the plate spring 27 engages on the side facing away from the clutch disc 25.
- the clutch disc 26 is provided with a circumferential annular groove 28.
- the plate spring 27 is supported on a support ring 29 forming an abutment, which is non-rotatably placed on the threaded spindle 19.
- the support ring 29 is firmly placed on a threaded ring 30, the internal thread of which is in engagement with the threaded spindle 19.
- the contact surfaces of the two clutch disks 25, 26, which are transverse to the threaded spindle 19, are provided with interlocking toothings, so that they are positively coupled to one another. The torque is thus transmitted via the toothed and mutually engaging areas of the two clutch disks 25, 26.
- FIG. 2 also shows a further mechanical securing device, which, however, only covers the scissor arms 13, 14 of the lifting device 12.
- a safety track 31, which is shown in dash-dotted lines, is firmly clamped onto the upper spar 15 of the lifting device 12.
- the lower spar 16 of the lifting device 12 is assigned a winding roll 32 on which the other end of the safety track 31 is fixed.
- the safety track 31 is pulled off the winding roller 32.
- a spring is tensioned, which enables winding when the scissor arms 13, 14 move together.
- FIG. 4 schematically shows an electronic solution which contains a sensor unit 33 which, together with the metallic lifting device 12, forms a contact or proximity detector, as shown by the arrow A.
- a metallic part of the lifting device 12 touches or approaches, the low-voltage DC geared motor 23 is switched off immediately.
- the signal sent by the sensor unit 33 becomes amplified, suppressed and selected in a control and evaluation unit 34 and then fed to a switching amplifier 35, whereby the current supply to the DC geared motor 23 is interrupted.
- the switching amplifier also contains the power supply, as indicated by reference number 36.
- the current is rectified by means of a rectifier 37. From the circuit diagram it follows that the power supply of the switching amplifier 35 is fed from the motor cable, but only when the motor is switched on, regardless of its direction of rotation.
- the touch detector consisting of the sensor unit 33 and the lifting device 12 is preferably designed as an inductive proximity switch with the lifting device 12 as a detector electrode.
- the sensitivity can be adjusted with a trim potentiometer 38, so that the circuit is triggered not only when touched but also when approaching.
- the control and evaluation unit 34 is constructed as an amplifier with interference suppression means in a known manner.
- the switching amplifier 35 contains a relay 39 which, with an NC contact 23 which is adapted in terms of power to the low-voltage direct current geared motor, lies in the motor cable.
- the power supply is taken from the motor cable upstream of the relay 39 and is independent of the direction of rotation of the low-voltage direct current geared motor 23 through the rectifier 37. If this safety device fails, the motor can no longer be operated for safety reasons.

Abstract
Description
The present invention relates to a lifting device for pivotable furniture parts of a piece of furniture, which includes lifting scissors and an electromotive drive unit which essentially consists of a threaded spindle and a geared motor.
A lifting device in question is known from DE-GM 91 03 817. This lifting device is designed in such a way that the DC gear motor has an internally driven nut which can be driven in rotation as the output member, so that the DC gear motor can be moved on a stationary threaded spindle. Depending on the direction in which the DC gear motor moves, the scissor arms are moved together or apart. This lifting device has proven itself in practice.
The present invention is based on the object of eliminating the risk of crushing both in the area of the lifting shears and in the area of the continuously adjustable furniture part, for example the head or foot part of a slatted frame. Furthermore, an abrupt lowering of the lifting shears is to be prevented if an object that hinders the movement has been removed from the danger area.
The object is achieved according to a first proposal in that the electromotive drive unit is equipped with a safety clutch, which essentially consists of two clutch disks provided with teeth in the outer peripheral edge, one clutch disk immovable and the other clutch disk axially displaceable and spring-loaded on the Threaded spindle is placed so that the teeth of the clutch discs are engaged in normal operation and come out of engagement when blocking the downward movement, since in this case a compressive force acts on the spindle.
Die vorgenannten Lösungen sind also rein mechanischer Art.This proposed solution is particularly suitable when the danger of being crushed by the pivoted furniture part is to be excluded. To a certain extent, however, the proposed solution also applies if there is a risk of being crushed by the lifting shears. The invention makes use of the knowledge that the toothing of the two clutch disks are pressed together by the force applied by the spring so that a specific drive torque can still be transmitted. Is located when lowering the pivotable furniture part or when retracting the scissors, an object in the range of motion acts on the threaded spindle, so that it shifts axially and separates the two coupling halves. This interrupts the transmission of the drive torque so that there is no risk of being crushed. If the object, for example the human hand, is removed from the range of motion, the spring presses the toothing of the clutch discs back into one another, so that the movement of the furniture part or the lifting scissors is continued immediately without the furniture part suddenly being lowered. The design effort is very low. The two clutch disks are expediently designed in the manner of a ring gear. The production of the clutch disks is then particularly simple since the corresponding circular ring surfaces only have to be toothed. According to a second solution, it is proposed that the lifting scissors be associated with a safety track which extends essentially over its width and which is firmly clamped at one end and which can be wound up and unwound on a winding roll. Depending on the movement of the lifting shears, the web is then wound up or unwound from the winding roll. When unwinding, a spring is tensioned so that it automatically winds up again when the direction of movement of the lifting device is reversed. However, this simple solution is only suitable to prevent crushing by the lifting scissors, but not by the furniture part to be adjusted. The aforementioned solutions are therefore purely mechanical.
According to a third proposal, the object is achieved by a sensor unit forming a contact or proximity detector with the metallic lifting scissors and by a control and evaluation unit for converting the signals the sensor unit in control signals for the electric motor drive. This electrical solution has the advantage that no additional mechanical components are required. A switching amplifier for amplifying the control signals is expediently assigned to the sensor unit and the control and evaluation unit, the switching amplifier containing the power supply device, so that the power supply to the sensor unit and the control and evaluation unit takes place only when the electromotive drive unit is switched on. This arrangement also has the advantage that said devices are only supplied with electrical energy when the electromotive drive unit is put into operation.

The slatted
It can be seen from FIG. 1 and FIG. 2 that there is a risk of being crushed in particular by the downward movement when the
B. eine Hand in den Bewegungsbereich der Scherenarme 13, 14 gelangt.FIG. 2 also shows a further mechanical securing device, which, however, only covers the
The touch detector consisting of the
