Abstract

Ceiling panels (7, 8) of counter-ceiling structures exhibit hook-shaped suspension elements (7', 8') on their suspension edges. In the folded-down state the suspension element (8') engages into an abutment (3') of a retaining hinge (3) and is thus kept in this position. By simply disconnecting it, the ceiling panel (8) can be removed from said retaining hinge (3) without the aid of tools. By virtue of the configuration of the suspension elements (7', 8'), the ceiling panels can be arranged such that two neighbouring ceiling panels can be opened away from one another and thus permit a free opening, of the size of two ceiling panels, in the counter-ceiling structure. <IMAGE>

Description

The present invention relates to a suspended ceiling construction, with square ceiling panels hinged downwardly hinged on grid-like clamping profile rails, and a retaining hinge and a suspension element therefor.

Such ceiling constructions are used as cladding for ceilings. In order to allow access to the space between this cladding and the actual ceiling, individual or all ceiling panels can be opened down, for example. This is conventionally achieved, for example, in that a conical holding element is attached to one end of a hanging edge of a ceiling plate, which can be inserted into the clamping profile of the rails when the ceiling plate is folded down, and thus holds the ceiling plate in this state. If the ceiling plate is now to be removed, the clamping profile must be pressed apart at this point using a tool, for example a screwdriver, so that the hanging edge can be pulled out of the clamping profile with the conical holding element. However, there is a risk that the hanging edge of the adjacent, parallel ceiling panel will also fall out of the clamping profile. Furthermore, with such a solution, the ceiling panels can all be folded down in a row only in the same direction and the holding element protrudes from the area of the ceiling panel base area.

A solution based on this principle is e.g. shown in DE-A-33 26 054, the conical holding elements being arranged on foldable plates on the inside of the hanging edges and cooperating with holders placed on the rails. On the one hand, in this construction, supposedly desirable gaps between the plates cannot be avoided, on the other hand, the plates can practically neither be dismantled nor folded down without the use of tools. In addition, the secure hold of folded-down panels behind the resilient bracket legs is not guaranteed.

The object of the present invention was to find a simple solution for the wing-like folding down of ceiling panels by means of a hinge.

This object is achieved according to the invention by the combination of features defined in claim 1, which differs from DE-A-3 326 054.

If a ceiling panel is to be detached from the hanging edge, it cannot fall out since it is held by the hanging element which engages in the abutment. At the same time, the ceiling panel can be easily removed without tools, simply by lifting it to lift the suspension element out of the abutment without the use of a tool. A preferred embodiment of the invention is characterized in that the suspension element is integrated directly into the suspension edges of the ceiling panels and does not protrude beyond the edge of the ceiling panel. The suspension element can therefore be formed directly from the material of the suspension edge of the ceiling panel and lies in the plane of the suspension edge. Because the suspension element does not protrude beyond the edge of the ceiling panel, these panels can also be stored in a space-saving manner, and the suspension elements are also better protected against damage during transport.

A further preferred embodiment of the invention provides that the holding hinge is constructed symmetrically and has two abutments. This means that up to four suspension elements from four different panels can be hung on such a hinge.

The combination of the suspension elements and holding hinges according to the invention allows the simple construction of a ceiling structure, in which free openings can be realized from the surface of two ceiling panels, the risk of the ceiling panels falling out when these ceiling panels are folded down is largely excluded. Thanks to their simple construction, the retaining hinges can be easily and reliably attached to the clamping profile rails.

  • Fig. 1 die Ansicht eines Ausschnittes einer erfindungsgemässen Unterdeckenkonstruktion;
  • Fig. 2 die Seitenansicht einer erfindungsgemässen Deckenplatte mit Aufhängeelement;
  • Fig. 3 den Schnitt durch ein Haltescharnier mit eingehängten Deckenplatten;
An embodiment of the invention is explained in more detail below with reference to drawings. Show it
  • 1 shows the view of a section of a ceiling construction according to the invention;
  • Fig. 2 is a side view of a ceiling tile according to the invention with hanging element;
  • 3 shows the section through a holding hinge with suspended ceiling panels.
  • Fig. 4 shows the cross section through a clamping rail with a hinge.

Clamp profile rails 1 are laid below a ceiling. A number of ceiling panels 2 are suspended in these clamping profile rails 1. Holding hinges 3 are attached to the clamping profile rails at a distance of two ceiling panels, into which the hook-shaped suspension elements of the folded-down ceiling panels 2 'can hook. On a holding hinge 3, two adjacent ceiling panels can be folded down simultaneously, as can be seen in FIG. 1. A large opening 4 of the ceiling formwork can thus advantageously be achieved, which in particular simplifies work in the area above the ceiling formwork. Ventilation and heating installations are often housed in this room.

The design of the suspension element can be seen in FIG. 2, which shows the side view (shortened) of a ceiling plate 2. According to the invention, one end of the hanging edge 5 is designed such that the hook-shaped hanging element 6 is itself formed by the end region of the hanging edge 5. Holding knobs 7 are conventionally formed on the hanging edge, which can be inserted into the clamping profile rail and thus hold the ceiling element in the normal, not folded down position.

In Fig. 3, the holding hinge 3 is shown in section, with a ceiling panel 2 being held on the left side by means of its retaining knobs in the clamping profile rail, while a folded-down ceiling panel 2 'is shown on the right side, which by means of the suspension element 6''in Holding hinge 3 is held. The holding hinge 3 has at each of its two ends a web 3 'acting as an abutment. If the ceiling panel 2 is detached from the clamping profile rail, it can they do not fall down due to the design of the suspension element 6 ', since this hangs on the web 3' of the retaining hinge 3 when the ceiling panel 2 moves downwards. The ceiling plate 2 'can simply be lifted out of the holding hinge 3 without the need for tools.

The holding hinge 3 is of simple construction and can be simply and reliably plugged onto the clamping profile rail 1, as shown in section in FIG. 4. For this purpose, the holding hinge 3 has stop elements 9, which come to lie against the lower edge of the clamping profile rail 1, while the resilient side parts 3 ″ of the holding hinge 3 are shaped in accordance with the profile of the clamping profile rail 1. Also visible is the upwardly curved web 3 ', in which the suspension elements can engage.
