Abstract

Transfer devices for counterweights (10) on jib cranes, in particular mobile telescopic cranes, with a revolving superstructure and at least one perpendicularly acting hydraulic lifting device, arranged on the revolving superstructure, for the coupling and uncoupling as well as the lifting and setting-down of the counterweights (10), are to be simple to manufacture, easy to manipulate, easy to maintain and operationally reliable. The lifting device is therefore equipped with a wedge-shaped piston-rod head (4) and a thrust pin (6) axially extendable from the piston-rod head (4). A base plate (8) carrying the counterweights (10) is provided with a lifting frame (9) passing through the counterweights (10). The lifting frame (9) contains several pawl levers (11) for releasably accommodating the piston-rod head (4), a spring-mounted plunger (12) displaceable in the position of the piston-rod head (4) between the pawl levers (11) by the thrust pin (6), and a transverse locking bolt (15). In its end position, the plunger (12) rests on the locking bolt (15). When the plunger (12) is lifted, the locking bolt (15) is enclosed by the holding pawls (16) of a locking grip (17) arranged on the travel unit (7). When the plunger (12) is resting on the locking bolt (15), the locking grip (17) is opened by the plunger (12) against spring pressure. <IMAGE>

Description

The invention relates to a transfer device for counterweights on jib cranes, in particular mobile telescopic cranes with a rotatable superstructure and at least one vertically acting hydraulic lifting device arranged thereon for coupling and uncoupling as well as lifting and depositing the counterweights. Counterweights on a jib crane have the task of making the crane stable with large outreaches of the jib due to its mass. For reasons of self-weight distribution, some or all of the weights for the driving condition are stored in the front area of the undercarriage. By half a turn of the upper part of the crane, the crane operator can lift these counterweights back into the working position on the turntable that carries the boom by means of a transfer device. Such implementation devices are known in various versions, for example from German Offenlegungsschrift 36 11 593. The arrangement described there is relatively complex in terms of structure and handling. It is an object of the present invention to provide a simpler and at least equally reliable transfer device. It is then proposed for a transfer device of the type mentioned at the outset to provide the lifting device with a wedge-shaped piston rod head and an axially extendable push pin and to provide a base plate carrying the counterweights with a lifting frame passing through them and the counterweights, the several latch levers for releasably receiving the piston rod head , comprises a spring-loaded plunger which is displaceable by the push pin in the position of the piston rod head between the ratchet levers and a locking bolt on which the plunger rests in its end position and which, when the plunger is lifted off, is enclosed by the two retaining pawls of a locking pliers arranged on the undercarriage, which when the plunger is on Tappet of this is open against spring pressure. This results in a construction which is very inexpensive to manufacture and easy to operate, which moreover requires hardly any maintenance and has a very low susceptibility to malfunction.

In a further embodiment of the invention, it is recommended that the pawl levers are shaped in such a way that they open automatically when the piston rod head is retracted, but only when the piston rod head is extended when the push pin is retracted. This arrangement ensures a particularly high level of operational safety, since the pawl lever is mechanically positively locked when the push pin is extended.

The transfer device is equipped with two lifting devices arranged side by side on the turntable 1 of the jib crane, each with a lifting cylinder 2, a piston rod 3 and a piston rod head 4. A small piston 5 is guided in the piston rod 2 for extending a push pin 6. On the undercarriage 7 of the jib crane there is a base plate 8 on which a mast 9 is attached. The base plate 8 serves to accommodate counterweights 10, which are provided with recesses for the mast 9. Four pawl levers 11 are articulated on the mast 9. In addition, a plunger 12 is guided centrally under the pressure of a plunger spring 13 over a path determined by an elongated hole 14. In the lower end position of the plunger 12, this rests on a locking bolt 15 fastened to the lifting frame 9, which, when the plunger 12 is raised, is enclosed by two retaining pawls 16 of a locking pliers 17, which is under the action of a compression spring 18.

In the driving state of the jib crane (Fig. 1), the counterweights 10 are on the undercarriage 7 behind the driver's cab. They have been stacked on the base plate 8 in the number required for the next intended use. From here they are lifted under the turntable 1 for the operating state (Fig. 2). For this purpose, two lifting devices are attached under the turntable 1. Each piston rod 3 of the lifting devices is extended by means of oil pressure. The length of the piston rod 3 is dimensioned such that it reaches an area in the mast 9 in which the counterweights 10 are coupled and released. The round and downward blunt wedge-shaped piston rod head 4 of the piston rod 3 is designed such that when it reaches and drives into the mast 9, it presses the rotatably mounted ratchet lever 11 located there from the center perpendicular (FIG. 3). When moving further into the mast, the Pawl lever 11 is tilted back towards the center by the piston rod head 4, thereby laying almost positively around the piston rod head 4 and enclosing it in its central free space. Then the push pin 6 is moved out of the piston rod head 4. A round plunger 12 is reached. This plunger 12 is now pressed down so far that it releases its positive connection with the undercarriage 7 in the lower part of the mast 9. The release takes place in that the plunger 12, on its way down, presses two holding pawls 16 of a locking pliers 17 from the perpendicular to the outside. The counterweights 10 to be picked up are now detached from the undercarriage. Then the counterweights 10 are lifted by the hydraulic lifting device. The piston rod head 4 of the lifting cylinder 2 has moved against a fixed position in the tappet end position. This must be achieved so that the further process can take place.

The small single-acting hydraulic cylinder (Fig. 7) integrated in the piston rod 3 acts on the push pin 6 of the piston rod head 4. If the small piston 5 were now extended by means of oil pressure and with it also the push pin 6 of the piston rod head 4, the length of the lifting device would be without Stop has been increased by this stroke. However, since the piston rod head 4 has moved against this fixed stop together with the push pin 6, the height of the small piston 5 does not change, but the piston rod 3 is pushed upwards relative to the small piston 5. This effect is also used later in order to be able to push the small piston 5 back into its starting position. Then there is the lifting of the base plate 8 with the mast 9 and the counterweights 10 stacked thereon. The oil pressure on the ring surface of the counterweight lifting cylinder causes the piston rod 3 to retract. The piston rod head 4 with the small piston 5 extended moves upward. The upper inclined surface of the piston rod head 4 lies in the incline of the pawl levers 11. By means of this mutual contact, the pawl levers 11 want to open upwards. But they are prevented in their opening rotation by the push pin 6 of the piston rod head 4. The lower part of the pawl lever 11 presses against the push pin 6 of the piston rod head 4 and blocks it. The piston rod head 4 is positively connected to the mast 9. Retracting the small piston 5 is not possible because of the single-acting function. The counterweights 10 are raised to their upper position. In order to prevent sinking, hydraulic accumulators are connected to the ring surfaces of the cylinders.

The counterweights 10 are placed on the undercarriage accordingly. The oil pressure on the piston side of the lifting cylinder 2 causes the piston rods 3 to extend. The lifting frame 9 with the base plate 8 and counterweight 10 are brought into their correct position by means of guides on the undercarriage. The two retaining pawls 16 of each locking pliers 17 on each side in the undercarriage are pressed aside when the lifting frame 9 is placed on the undercarriage 7 by the locking bolt 15 in the lifting frame 9 (FIG. 5). The formation of the upper surfaces of the pawls 16 causes this spreading against the compression spring 18 beyond the storage. The holding pawls 16 move on the principle of counter shears. Thus, if the plunger 12 slides upward after the hydraulic pressure holding it down under the action of the plunger spring 13 to release the piston rod head 4, it releases the space above the locking bolt 15. The holding pawls 16 of the locking pliers 17 can reach around the locking bolt 15 in their closed position. The release of the pawl lever 11 from the piston rod head 4 takes place in accordance with the locking described above. Before the holding pawls 16 reach into their locking positions, the plunger 12 is on the locking bolt 15 in its end position. The small piston 5 in the piston rod head 4 is still extended. If the piston rod head 4 now reaches the end position of the plunger 12 due to the pressure in the piston chamber of the lifting cylinder 2, the force of the piston rod 3 and the plunger spring 13 causes the small piston 5 in the piston rod head to be retracted again. By pushing the push pin 6 of the piston rod head 4, the pawl levers 11 can move freely again when the piston rod head 4 is raised. The lifting cylinder 2 can pull the piston rod head 4 upwards out of this connection into the upper end position. The stored mast 9 with base plate 8 is positively connected to the undercarriage 7.
