Claims (8)

  1. Bridge section forming a horizontal cross piece in the use position, comprising:
    a vertical web (12) having an upper edge (18) and a lower edge (20);
    upper (22) and lower (24) flanges respectively firmly attached to the said edges and perpendicular to the said web, characterised by the fact that each end of the bridge section includes a connection assembly (26, 28) to additional structural elements, each connection assembly comprising a first vertical plate (30) firmly attached to and end of the bridge section and at right angles to the said web, a second plate (32) parallel to the said first plate and firmly attached to the said web and arranged at a distance h from the first plate in the direction of the median zone of the bridge section, and a third horizontal plate (34) firmly attached to the lower edges of the said first and second plates, the said first, second and third plates being able to receive organs for fixing the said additional structural elements.
  2. Bridge section as described in claim 1,
    characterised by the fact that the web (12) includes at each of its ends an aperture (14, 16) in such a way that the upper edge of the web has a length equal to that of the bridge section and the lower edge a reduced length.
  3. Bridge section as described in claim 2,
    characterised by the fact that the second plate (32) of each connection assembly (26, 28) is firmly attached to the said web (12) in its portion including the aperture (14, 16) so that the web portion between the first and the second plate of a same connection assembly has a reduced height.
  4. Bridge section as described in either of claims 2 and 3, characterised by the fact that the said third plate (34) of each connection assembly is fixed to the lower edges of the said first and second plates (30, 32) in the extension of the lower flange (24).
  5. Bridge section as described in any one of claims 2 to 4, characterised by the fact that each connection assembly (26, 28) also includes two first metal elements (36, 38) parallel to the upper flange (22), firmly attached respectively to each face of the web and extending between the said first and second plates (30, 32).
  6. Bridge section as described in any one of claims 2 to 5, characterised by the fact that it also comprises two pairs of second metal elements (40, 42), the elements of a same pair being fixed on either side of the web (12) in the extension of the corresponding first metal elements (36, 38).
  7. Bridge section as described in any one of claims 1 to 6, characterised by the fact that it is made of metal.
  8. Bridge section as described in claim 7, characterised by the fact that it is made of steel.
