Abstract

The invention proposes a sectional door for garages or the like which is constructed preferably from high-grade wooden members. In order to achieve easier exchangeability of the front pattern, which is produced, if appropriate, in a coffered manner, the sectional door is made from a self-supporting framework which consists of laminated wood and onto which the high-grade wooden members can be screwed as non-supporting elements. <IMAGE>

Description

The invention relates to a sectional sectional door for garages or the like according to the preamble of claim 1.

Stand der Technik:State of the art:

Sectional gates, also called sectional gates, are multi-part and are usually pushed under the ceiling. They belong to the vertically opening gates, whereby the individual components of the overhead sectional door form flat sectional elements that are significantly larger than the components with similarly acting roller gates. The elements of the sectional sections are connected to one another via hinges, the individual sectional sections or structural elements of the overhead sectional door not being wound up, but rather being pushed under the ceiling of the garage by an appropriately designed guide rail.

The components connected by hinges - hereinafter referred to as "sectional sections" - of a sectional sectional door each consist of an upper and a lower, horizontal, extending over the entire width of the door Cross bars, which are connected to each other at their ends and via intermediate longitudinal bars and thus form a kind of "frame" for cassettes to be inserted between them. In the case of expensive and elaborate gates, the cross bars, as well as the longitudinal bars and the cassette inserts are made of high-quality wood and form an assembled, high-quality section. The back of this sectional section can have transverse and / or longitudinal reinforcement beams made of solid wood or metal, which should increase the door stability in particular. The individual hinges for the sectional sections are attached to the cross and side members of the door.

Such gates are very expensive to produce with a lot of manual work. In particular, the wooden cassettes used form a high-quality, optical element, which also contributes to the beautification of the building.

A disadvantage of the known overhead sectional gates is the high structural effort, which results on the one hand from the very expensive woods for forming the visible transverse and longitudinal spars, and on the other hand from the cassettes to be used. Once a section section has been assembled, it can therefore only be repaired at great expense, since the individual cassette parts are firmly integrated in the frame in a so-called "load-bearing construction".

Vorteile der Erfindung:Advantages of the invention:

The overhead sectional door according to the invention has the advantage over the known gates that the visible front surface can be manufactured much more cost-effectively and simply without compromising on the quality of the overhead sectional gate. The basic idea of the overhead sectional door according to the invention is that the visible and thus expensive front surface of a garage door also a minimum of wood or wood weight and a maximum of ease of repair. In principle, the appealing wooden construction should be retained in full. The invention accordingly provides that the overhead sectional door and in particular the individual sectional sections of this door, which are connected to one another by hinges, consist of two main construction sections. These construction sections are on the one hand a base frame or support frame made of a special, wood fiber-oriented laminated wood, which forms the load-bearing element and consists of horizontal cross bars and vertical longitudinal bars, to which the connecting hinges are attached. The front surface made of expensive and noble woods is then placed on such a self-supporting support frame of each section as a mere covering. The attached front of the door can be made from wood material that is significantly thinner in thickness, since this front cladding no longer has any supporting function. Likewise, according to the invention, the front cover can be very easily unscrewed from the carrier frame and, for example, exchanged or repaired. A corresponding repair is much cheaper and easier than with conventional, "self-supporting" deck link gates.

In the subclaims, advantageous and expedient developments of the top link gate specified in the main claim are described.

It is therefore particularly advantageous that the connecting hinges for connecting the individual sectional sections are only attached to the support frame. As a result, the front panel can be handled completely independently of the entire support frame.

It is expedient that the cross bars of the sectional sections have cutouts for inserting the connecting hinges, so that the connecting hinges are let into the cross bars. This means that the horizontal cladding boards of the front cladding can easily be screwed onto the cross and longitudinal bars of the support frame.

It is also advantageous that the uppermost and lowermost cladding boards of each sectional section are adapted to one another in terms of their shape in order to get into the correct position during the angular movement of the associated hinge. The two cladding boards lying opposite each other form an obliquely upward gap in the stretched vertical state of the door. As a result, no rain liquid or the like gets into the interior of the door structure.

The cassettes to be inserted between the upper cladding board and the lower cladding board and corresponding longitudinal side cladding boards are clamped in L-shaped recesses of the cladding boards surrounding the cassettes and clamped in a U-shape by the transverse bars and longitudinal bars of the support frame and sealed at the same time. This measure also ensures a controlled clamping or bracing of the cassettes to be used.

In order to carry out the angular movement of two adjacent section sections, the opposite cross bars are chamfered in their corner area.

Effective protection against finger pinching is created by simply chamfering the bottom transverse panel for the section in question.

Further details of the invention emerge from the drawings, which are explained in more detail in the following description of exemplary embodiments, stating further advantages.

Beschreibung der Erfindung:Description of the invention:

In Fig. 1a, a sectional ceiling door 1, also called "sectional door" is shown in front view. Fig. 1b shows the same door in rear view, Fig. 1d in side view.

In the exemplary embodiment, the overhead sectional door with the total height H and the width B consists of 5 sectional sections 2 with the height h1, which in principle have the same structure and which are connected to one another at their respective horizontal abutting edges 3 by means of hinges 4.

On the top of the gate there is a lintel 5 and a stop frieze 6. Likewise, on the bottom of the gate there is another stop frieze 7, so that the height h2 of the top section and the height h3 of the bottom section 2 'or 2' 'can vary.

Each sectional section 2 of the overhead sectional door according to the invention consists of a support frame 8, as shown in FIG. 1b in the rear view of the door. The carrier frame 8 is formed by an upper cross member 9, a lower cross member 10 and two longitudinal members 11 connecting the two cross members 9 and 10. Depending on the width B of the overhead sectional door, further intermediate bars 12 are provided between the longitudinal bars 11 for stiffening and reinforcing the support frame 8.

The support frames 8 formed from the cross bars 9, 10 and longitudinal bars 11, 12 are connected to each other by at least two hinges 4 on their horizontal abutting edge 3. A hinge 4 is preferably provided on each longitudinal spar 11 or intermediate spar 12. This creates a frame for the sectional ceiling door. This frame is provided on its front with the door trim 13, as shown in Fig. 1a. The door panel itself can have a wide variety of designs, i.e. it can e.g. B. in the form of a cassette door 14 as shown in Fig. 1a or in the form of a transverse formwork 15 as shown in Fig. 2a.

The more precise structure of the frame 16 formed from the sectional sections connected by hinges is shown in more detail in FIGS. 1c, 2c and in FIGS. 3 to 6. 3 shows the Detail "X" in Fig. 1c. The detail "X" in Fig. 1c is also shown in the side view in Fig. 1d.

According to the cross members 9, 10 and the longitudinal spars 11, 12 consist of a special plywood, as z. B. has become known by the company FINNFOREST GmbH under the name "Kerto" (registered trademark). This is a laminated veneer lumber made from Finnish spruce logs with a special structure. This special material has exceptional values for tensile, compressive and flexural strength as well as dimensional stability, dimensional accuracy and elasticity. These special technical properties of this known material enable the creation of a high-strength frame, consisting of individual sectional sections, to which the desired door cladding is applied.

In Fig. 6, for example, the front view of the two cross bars 9, 10 is shown from this plywood. This is an elongated spar with a right cross-section and a height h 4 ≈ 60 mm and a width b 1 ≈ 20 mm with a length that extends over the entire width of the garage door B.

As can be seen from FIGS. 3 to 5, the cross bars 9, 10 are chamfered in a corner region 17 with an angle α 1 = 45 °, the chamfer extending over a height h 5 ≈ 10 mm. This bevel serves to create the free space when angling the sectional sections, as shown in FIGS. 4 and 5.

The cross bars 9, 10 further have a recess or cutout 18 with the width b 2 ≈ 6 mm in the area of the hinge 4 to be arranged in each case. In this recess 18, the wings 19, 20 of the hinge 4 are embedded, so that these do not protrude from the front face 21 of the cross bar 9, 10 pointing to the front.

As can be seen from FIG. 3, the hinge is inserted between the opposing abutting edges 3 of the upper 9 and lower 10 crossbar and is firmly connected to the crossbars 9, 10 by means of metal screws 22, for this purpose the wings 19, 20 have corresponding screw threads 23. By clamping the plywood crossbar 9, 10 between the metal hinge 4 and screw head 22, a firm connection is already achieved with a screw ("screw clamp"). The hinges 4 are designed as straight, that is to say non-cranked hinges; its axis of rotation 35 is almost in the boundary plane (small distance "d") between the plywood frame and planking. As a result, the compressive and tensile forces occurring during the door movement are passed on directly between the sections.

The front cladding made of high-quality and specially machined woods is then applied to the frame 16 thus formed and in particular to each section 2.

In the case of the cassette construction shown in FIG. 1a, each front covering consists of an individual covering of each sectional section. This individual cladding is basically constructed in the same way as the frame 16 made of the laminated wood parts, with the difference that additional cassettes 24 are inserted into the cavities. Each section of the front cladding accordingly has an upper cross board 25 and a lower cross board 26, which extend over the entire width of the door. The cross boards 25, 26 are connected to one another via two end longitudinal boards 27 (see FIG. 1 a) and two intermediate boards 28.

Zwischen zwei Querbrettern 25, 26 und zwei Längsbrettern bzw. Zwischenbrettern 27, 28 sind dann die Kassetteneinsätze 24 angeordnet. The cassette inserts 24 are then arranged between two transverse boards 25, 26 and two longitudinal boards or intermediate boards 27, 28.

Hierdurch wird weitgehend vermieden, daß in die jeweilige obere Aussparung 29 Wasser eindringen kann.5, the upper and lower cross boards 25, 26 are provided in their outer area with an L-shaped recess 29 into which the machined end edges 30 of the cassettes 24 protrude. The end edges 30 form a slight angle β, so that the end edges 30 are clamped between the cross boards 25, 26 and the cross bars 9, 10 in a type of linear contact 31 as a sealing edge. This largely prevents water from penetrating into the respective upper recess 29.

A corresponding connection between the cassettes 24 and the longitudinal boards 27 or intermediate boards 28 is provided.

The connection of the cross boards 25, 26 or the longitudinal boards 27 and intermediate boards 28 with the corresponding transverse bars 9, 10 or longitudinal bars and intermediate bars 11, 12 takes place by means of a wood screw connection 32 from the rear of the gate, as shown in FIGS 5 is indicated by a dash-dotted line. Accordingly, in order to replace or repair a specific area of the door trim, only this screw connection 32 is partially to be loosened without the basic structure of the frame 16 being impaired. A partial repair of the gate is therefore very easy.

Because of the non-load-bearing function, the front cladding can also be constructed much more easily and in particular with thinner wall thicknesses than is the case with conventional sectional sectional doors. As a result, expensive wood can be saved for cost reasons and for environmental reasons.

Nevertheless, the construction remains a wooden gate without the use of load-bearing metal parts.

The bent position of the illustration according to FIG. 3 is shown in FIGS. 4 and 5. Here, in particular, the end formation of the cross boards 25, 26 is shown, which in the elongated arrangement according to FIG. 3 form an oblique gap 33 with a gap width of 5 5 mm, which extends obliquely upwards at an angle δ ≈ 50 ° in the direction of the rear of the gate . The bevelled or rounded edges 34, 35 of the transverse boards 25, 26 are designed such that they lead past one another at a short distance of 5 5 mm when the sectional sections are angled, as is shown in FIGS. 4 and 5.
This simple beveling of the transverse covering boards 25, 26 creates effective finger trap protection. This also results in an effective drip edge.

Insofern ergibt sich der einheitliche Aufbau des gesamten Rahmengestells 16.As can be seen from FIG. 1c, the upper stop frieze 6 as well as the lower stop frieze 7 as supporting elements of the frame 16 are made of the specially used laminated wood. In this respect, there is a uniform structure of the entire frame 16.

2c ersichtlich. The exemplary embodiment according to FIGS. 2a to 2d does not differ with respect to the frame 16 from the exemplary embodiment according to FIG. 1. Only the type of the front cladding 15 was chosen as a simple transverse formwork 15, i.e. the individual sectional sections 2 are not provided with a cassette cladding, but with a simpler transverse formwork 15. This can be seen from FIGS. 2a and 2c.
