Abstract
Description
The present invention relates to a comb for textile machines.
It is known that the comb is a set of metallic, flat, parallel, equidistant lamellae called teeth. The loom and warp combs are closed by a frame, the sides of which are mostly made of wood or metal.
It is also known that the retraction of the threads through the teeth of a comb, carried out both by hand and mechanically, is obtained by means of a hook tool called a passette which is pushed and then withdrawn between a tooth and the other, in the direction of the chain.
The object of the present invention is to produce a comb which is suitable for mechanical selection. This result was achieved in accordance with the invention by making an open comb in its upper part. And to prevent the different teeth from being able to move towards or away from each other during work, it is provided, in accordance with the invention, that a portion close to the free end of each tooth is produced with an appropriate profile so as to produce a support stop between one tooth and the other.
The advantages obtained thanks to the present invention essentially consist in the fact that it is possible to carry in the re-entry of the comb, not only according to the traditional methods, but also by introducing the wires through the open upper side and then by sliding them from up and down along the sides of the teeth; that it is possible to make the selection tooth by tooth mechanically and automatically, by means of a selector which realizes in sequence the lateral spacing of each tooth separately; that a comb according to the invention can easily be transformed into a closed comb, that it is simple to make and very reliable.
These advantages and characteristics of the invention as well as others will be more and better understood by each person skilled in the art in the light of the description which will follow and with the aid of the appended drawings given by way of practical example of the invention, but not to be considered in the limiting sense; drawings in which: FIG. 1 shows, in an axonometric view, a lateral portion of a comb according to the invention, above a generic selector device in its two working positions; FIGS. 2A-2B-2C show the detailed view of three possible tooth profiles for the comb of FIG. 1; FIG. 3 shows the front view of the comb of FIG. 1 of the "closed"type; FIG. 4 shows a sectional view along the line CC of FIG. 3.
Reduced to its essential structure and with reference to the accompanying drawings, a comb for textile machines according to the invention comprises a
Near the free upper end, each
The same profile is repeated at the same height for alternating teeth and with a height offset between the adjacent teeth, of a height equal to the height of the lowerings themselves 3.
Thanks to this conformation, each
The aforementioned subscriptions can assume different profiles among which Figs. 2A, 2B, 2C represent three possible embodiments, where FIG. 2A illustrates a curvilinear profile, the Fig. 2B illustrates a Greek profit which is identical to that of the comb of FIG. 1 and FIG. 2C illustrates a cusped profile.
Furthermore, the free end of the

When the balance is in said active position under the effect of its translational movement in the direction of arrow F, it engages and bends the tooth causing it to move apart from the previous tooth; when the pendulum, without translating and turning on itself is placed in said rest position, it releases the discarded tooth which resiliently returns to the vertical position and the pendulum exceeds said tooth; after which, by turning on itself in the opposite direction, the pendulum returns to the active position by making the spacing of the next tooth as described above.
Advantageously, it is possible, in accordance with the invention, to transform the "open" comb into a "closed" comb by means of an
