The control member 53 is maneuverable by a lockable handle and may itself have a third bolt similar to the other two. The bolts all cooperate with ramps oriented according to the invention, which allows to spread over the length of the seal 16 the force exerted on it.

Claims (5)

  1. Opening and closing device for the door of an enclosure such as a box or cabinet, the door being adapted to be pressed against a profiled fixed edge of the enclosure via a seal, the device comprising:
    - a body fixed to the door and housing an operating member constrained to rotate with a bolt having a shoulder adapted to cooperate with a retaining flange associated with the profiled edge,
    - the bolt being able to turn about an axis perpendicular to the plane of the door and having a cam inclined to that axis to convert the reaction force of the profiled edge into a torque rotating the bolt against an opposite return torque,
       characterised in that:
       the shoulder (25) on the rotary bolt (22) cooperates with a ramp (30) associated with the retaining flange (14c) and the orientation of which determines during closing of the door a decrease in the compression of the seal (16) from a position of engagement of the bolt on the ramp to a fully closed position.
  2. Device according to claim 1 characterised in that the sliding surface of the profiled edge (14) is perpendicular to the plane (P-P') of the door (12) when closed, the ramp (30) extending along the edge of a thin wall member (38) substantially aligned with the sliding surface (39).
  3. Device according to claim 1 or claim 2 characterised in that in the closed position the retaining flange (14c) is parallel to the plane (P-P') of the door (12), the ramp (30) being on the edge of a flat member (42) attached to the retaining flange.
  4. Device according to any one of claims 1 to 3 characterised in that the ramp (30) comprises a bolt bearing and engagement area (34), a fully closed area (35) and an inclined intermediate area (36) linking the aforementioned two areas (34, 35), the bearing area (34) being further inside the cabinet than the fully closed area (35).
  5. Device according to any one of claims 1 to 4 characterised in that a central operating member (53) operates via a rod (52) a plurality of rotary bolts (22, 22') associated with ramps parallel to the rod.
