Definitions
- the innovation relates to a manhole cover for inspection manholes in the ground drainage system with a manhole top and a manhole cover embedded therein, the manhole top at the free end facing away from the lid area having a tubular extension extension, in the lumen of which the free end of the manhole pipe is arranged.
- Manhole covers known from the prior art are fitted directly to the end of the shaft pipe or bonded to the end of the shaft pipe with a close tolerance. Vertical forces from traffic loads and shock loads are thus transferred directly to the shaft pipe. Because of the tight tolerances or the firm connection between the manhole cover and the manhole end, tilting of the manhole cover cannot be accommodated without leading to overloading of the manhole pipe. The shaft pipe is thus exposed to the risk of damage up to pipe breakage, for example in the case of traffic loads, which can jeopardize the effectiveness of the entire shaft system.
- the innovation comes in, which has set itself the task of specifying a manhole cover for inspection manholes in the ground drainage system, in which damage to the manhole end due to external loads is excluded.
- the shaft pipe end is inserted with a defined setting dimension into the extension of the shaft attachment, and that a circumferential gap of a defined width is arranged between the inner circumference of the extension socket and the outer circumference of the inserted shaft pipe end, which is of a flexible, in a groove of the extension approach arranged sealing element is bridged.
- the innovative manhole cover prevents any entry of forces from traffic loads into the manhole pipe itself. Rather, these forces are introduced into the ground or into the base layer of the traffic area around the manhole cover.
- the slump of the shaft pipe end in the extension approach to its insertion depth is in a ratio of 1: 2.
- the insertion depth of the shaft pipe end into the extension attachment is 40 mm, and the setting dimension is specified as 20 mm in this case. If these dimensions are not sufficient to absorb the forces from the expected traffic loads, you can easily use larger distances on the specified scale.
- the gap between the inner circumference of the extension attachment and the outer circumference of the shaft pipe end in the plug-in area is a maximum of 6 mm.
- canting of the manhole cover can be easily absorbed by an uneven load up to an inclination of approximately 10 °.
- the manhole cover and manhole cover can be made of metallic material.
- the manhole cover itself can be a closed or partially open cover.
- the manhole cover can have at least one retaining web that protrudes above the groove for the sealing element into the lumen of the manhole top and is made in one piece with it and has a threaded passage for screwing the manhole cover.
- the new shaft cover prevents damage to the end of the shaft pipe due to traffic loads introduced into the shaft pipe from the outside.
- the manhole cover 1 shown in FIG. 1 consists of the manhole cover 2 and the manhole cover 3.
- the manhole cover 2 has a flange-like shaft edge 21 which merges into an extension lug 22.
- a lip sealing ring 4 is embedded in a circumferential groove 222.
- the manhole cover 3 is embedded in a recess 23 provided.
- the manhole cover 3 shown is a closed cover which is fixed by means of a screw 31 to the retaining web 24 molded onto the extension lug 22.
- the shaft pipe 5 with its shaft pipe end 51 is inserted into the lumen of the extension lug 22.
- the shaft pipe end 51 projects with the insertion depth E into the extension lug 22 of the shaft cover 1.
- the insertion depth E is, for example, 40 mm.
- the shaft pipe end 51 has a setting dimension S, which can be, for example, 20 mm as a range of motion.
- a gap Sp is left between the outer circumference of the shaft pipe end 51 and the inner wall of the extension lug 22 and is bridged by the lip sealing ring 4.
- the shaft pipe end 51 can thus move in the axial direction by the setting dimension S and, due to the gap dimension Sp, is mounted in the extension extension in such a way that it can move in an angular manner.
- the manhole cover 1 shows the manhole cover 1 with the extension lug 22 and the manhole end 51 inserted into the lumen of the extension lug 22 in accordance with the statements relating to FIG. 1.
- the manhole cover is designed as a regionally open cover 3 .
- This manhole cover 3 which is open in some areas, forms a grating cover and is thus designed for the direct inflow of waste water into the manhole pipe 5.
- the holding web 24 serves as a carrier for a sludge bucket 6, which projects into the lumen 52 of the shaft pipe 5.
- the sludge bucket 6 is equipped with seepage openings 61, through which the waste water entering through the openings 32 of the manhole cover passes from the sludge bucket 6 into the lumen of the manhole pipe 5.

Abstract
Description
The innovation relates to a manhole cover for inspection manholes in the ground drainage system with a manhole top and a manhole cover embedded therein, the manhole top at the free end facing away from the lid area having a tubular extension extension, in the lumen of which the free end of the manhole pipe is arranged. Manhole covers known from the prior art are fitted directly to the end of the shaft pipe or bonded to the end of the shaft pipe with a close tolerance.
This is where the innovation comes in, which has set itself the task of specifying a manhole cover for inspection manholes in the ground drainage system, in which damage to the manhole end due to external loads is excluded. According to the innovation, it is proposed that the shaft pipe end is inserted with a defined setting dimension into the extension of the shaft attachment, and that a circumferential gap of a defined width is arranged between the inner circumference of the extension socket and the outer circumference of the inserted shaft pipe end, which is of a flexible, in a groove of the extension approach arranged sealing element is bridged.
The innovative manhole cover prevents any entry of forces from traffic loads into the manhole pipe itself. Rather, these forces are introduced into the ground or into the base layer of the traffic area around the manhole cover.
It has proven to be advantageous that the slump of the shaft pipe end in the extension approach to its insertion depth is in a ratio of 1: 2. In one exemplary embodiment, the insertion depth of the shaft pipe end into the extension attachment is 40 mm, and the setting dimension is specified as 20 mm in this case. If these dimensions are not sufficient to absorb the forces from the expected traffic loads, you can easily use larger distances on the specified scale.
It is also advantageous that the gap between the inner circumference of the extension attachment and the outer circumference of the shaft pipe end in the plug-in area is a maximum of 6 mm. As a result, canting of the manhole cover can be easily absorbed by an uneven load up to an inclination of approximately 10 °. According to the innovation, the manhole cover and manhole cover can be made of metallic material. The manhole cover itself can be a closed or partially open cover. Finally, the manhole cover can have at least one retaining web that protrudes above the groove for the sealing element into the lumen of the manhole top and is made in one piece with it and has a threaded passage for screwing the manhole cover.
The new shaft cover prevents damage to the end of the shaft pipe due to traffic loads introduced into the shaft pipe from the outside.
- Fig.1 die Schachtabdeckung mit geschlossenem Schachtdeckel

Die Einstecktiefe E beträgt beispielsweise 40 mm.The
The
The
