Description

The invention relates to a latching block with a housing for connecting to an electromagnetic switching device, which holds the switching device in the working position by locking the switching movement.

In a known latching block of the type mentioned above (DE-PS 26 25 292), the locking parts consist of a knee joint which blocks the return movement of the part performing the switching movement in an almost extended over-center position. The knee joint is brought into the dead center position by spring loading. The locking is released by an electromagnetically operated plunger. The position of the knee joint and the entire latching block must be adapted accordingly to the stroke of the electromagnetic switching device.

The invention is intended to create a latching block that automatically adapts to any strokes of different switching devices. This is achieved in a simple manner in that the latching block contains a locking part which has a toothed rack and a ratchet wheel, the rack being able to be positively coupled to the part carrying out the switching movement and acting on the ratchet wheel and the detent for unlocking can be canceled. To cancel the locking, it has proven to be advantageous if an electromagnet is provided to cancel the latching. In order to be able to recognize the position of the electromagnetic switching device even when the locking block is attached, it is advantageous if the rack is used as a switching position indicator is trained. In order not to have to provide separate fastening means for the latching block on the switching device, it is advantageous if the housing is in the form of an auxiliary switch attachment block with corresponding coupling means. If the housing does not take up the full width of the electromagnetic switching device, additional auxiliary switches can be placed on the electromagnetic switching device in addition to the latching block. In order to also be able to release the locking on site, it is advantageous if a manual unlatching plunger is provided.

FIG 3
eine Vorderansicht auf die Anordnung nach FIG 1.
An exemplary embodiment according to the invention is described with reference to the drawing. Show it:
FIG. 1
2 shows a side view of the latching block placed on the electromagnetic switching device, partly in section,
FIG 2
a plan view of the arrangement of FIG 1 and
FIG 3
a front view of the arrangement of FIG. 1

The latching block arranged in the housing 1 consists of a toothed rack 2, which acts on a ratchet wheel 4 via the pinion 3. A pivotably mounted lever 5 engages in the catch of the ratchet wheel 4 and is pressed into the catch by a spring 6. To cancel the latching, the lever 5 is connected to the armature 7 of an electromagnet 8, which can be remotely operated via the connections 9. The rack 2 protrudes beyond the contour of the housing with the end 10 as a switch position indicator, as can be seen from FIG. 3. A manual unlatching plunger 11 also protrudes beyond the housing contour and can be lifted with the lever 5 in a manner not shown the detent in connection. The rack 2 is provided on the side facing away from the end 10 with a hammer head 12 which, when the housing 2 is pushed onto the electromagnetic switching device 13, engages in a corresponding recess 14 in the part of the switching device which performs the switching movement. The housing is provided with corresponding hooks 15 which, when pushed on, are brought into engagement with corresponding recesses in the housing of the electromagnetic switching device, as is known, for example, from DE-GM 88 05 878 = GR 88 G 3185 DE. A molded latch 16 is used to latch the latching block to the housing of the electromagnetic switching device. As shown in FIGS. 2 and 3, the width of the latching block corresponds to the part of two auxiliary switch attachment blocks, so that in the case of an electromagnetic switching device to which four auxiliary switch blocks can be placed, two more Additional auxiliary switch blocks 17 - indicated by dashed lines in FIGS. 2 and 3 - can be attached.

The function of the latching block is as follows: When the electromagnetic switching device is switched on, the rack is pulled downwards by the part of the electromagnetic switching device that performs the switching movement, the ratchet wheel rotating in a clockwise direction via the pinion 3. The rack is held in the tightened position and thus also the part of the switching device which carries out the switching movement by the lever 5 which engages in the detent of the ratchet wheel 4. By tightening the electromagnet 8, the lever can be pulled out of the catch, so that the latching is released and the part of the switching device which carries out the switching movement can return to the rest position. To cancel, instead of applying tension to the electromagnet, the manual unlatching plunger 11 can also be pressed into the housing.
