Somit kann der den Vordermarken vorgeordnete Sensor lediglich erkennen, daß sich ein Teil eines Papierbogens im Bereich vor der Vordermarke befindet. Der vorgeordnete Sensor kann nicht feststellen, ob es sich um einen an den Vordermarken anliegenden Papierbogen oder um eine über die Vordermarke hinausgeschossenen Papierbogen oder sogar bei langen Papierbogen um das Ende eines vorangegangenen Papierbogen handelt. Aufgrund der unterschiedlichen Reflexionen der Greiferunterseite, bzw. des Papierbogens kann der Sensor somit eindeutig erkennen, ob sich ein Papierbogen zwischen Greiferunterseite und Sensor befindet. Sobald die Bogenvorderkante den Sensor 11 überschreitet und an der Vordermarke anliegt, meldet der Sensor 11 nach kurzer Sensorreaktionszeit 13 die Ankunft des Bogens. Nach einer weiteren Reaktionszeit für die Einleitung und Durchführung der Beschleunigung erfolgt über eine Zeitspanne t 21 das Beschleunigen der Bogenvorderkante bis zum Punkt der übergabe 15 in Fig. 4 an einen übergabezylinder 2 gemäß Fig. 1. Der übergabezylinder 2 ist in bekannter Weise in den Maschinenseitengestellen gelagert und angetrieben. Vom übergabezylinder 2 wird der Bogen an die Greiferleiste im Druckzylinder übergeben. Zur übergabe wird der Greiferfinger 4 etwas von der Greiferauflage 5 weggeschwenkt. Für den nächsten Bogen wird die Vordermarke 6 und dann der Vorgreiferarm 3 in Anlageposition geschwenkt. Sobald der nächste Bogen in den Spaltbereich zwischen Greiferfinger und Greiferauflage 5 eingeführt worden, an der Anlagefläche 7 der Vordermarken 6 ausgerichtet und von dem Sensor 11 erfaßt worden ist, wird der Greiferfinger 4 auf den anliegenden Bogen 20 heruntergeschwenkt und vom Greiferfinger 4 und von der Greiferauflage 5 gegriffen. Dadurch ist es möglich, wie in Fig. 4 dargestellt ist, die Beschleunigung der Bogenvorderkante eines ausgerichteten Bogens gemäß Beschleunigungslinie 16 bereits zu beginnen, obwohl die Bogenhinterkante des vorangegangenen Bogens gemäß der Bewegungslinie 17 in Fig. 4 sich noch im Wirkbereich des Sensors befindet. Zur eigentlichen Beschleunigung steht demnach nicht mehr nur die Zeit t 21' sondern eine wesentlich größere Beschleunigungszeit t 21 zur Verfügung.
