Description

The present invention relates to a stackable tray made of cardboard, corrugated cardboard or similar sheet material, more particularly intended for the transport of large circular cheeses. It also relates to a blank for the production by folding and gluing (or stapling) of such a tray.

By European patent EP-A-0 234 958, such a tray is already known, the external shape of which is rectangular and the rectangular corners of which are internally cut by a tab intended to obliquely tangent the cheese contained in said tray. At said corners are arranged pins and notches intended for stacking such trays.

In such a known tray, said rectangular corners, which are used only for stacking, constitute unnecessary space and cause excessive consumption of sheet material.

The object of the present invention is to remedy these drawbacks and to make it possible to reduce the size of such trays and the reduction of raw material for the production thereof.

To this end, there is provided according to the invention, a stackable tray made of a flexible sheet material, such as cardboard, corrugated cardboard or the like, more particularly intended for the transport of large circular cheeses, according to claim 1.

Thus, thanks to the invention, a stackable tray is obtained which closely follows the outline of the cheese it contains.

Advantageously, each rectangular side flap is associated with two flaps extending the opposite free ends of said rectangular side flap, and each triangular side flap is made integral with each of said flaps which are directed towards it and which respectively extend the two rectangular side flaps which frame said triangular side flap.

The invention makes it possible to ensure the continuity of the lateral sides of said plate.

For the flow of any liquids produced by the cheese, it is advantageous for said central panel to have openings.

For the production of the tray according to the present invention, the latter further relates to a blank of a flexible sheet material, such as cardboard, corrugated cardboard or the like, according to claim 5.

Each rectangular side flap is advantageously associated with two flaps extending the opposite free ends of said rectangular side flap.

Preferably, at least one of said flaps located opposite a triangular side flap has a length approximately equal to that of the side of said central panel to which said triangular side flap is connected.

Each stacking stud can be cut at least partially in one of said flaps located opposite the corresponding triangular side flap.

The figures of the appended drawing will make it clear how the invention can be implemented. In these figures, identical references designate similar elements.

Figure 1 shows, flat, a blank for making the tray according to the present invention.

La figure 2 montre, en perspective, le plateau de l'invention, obtenu à partir du flan de la figure 1.FIG. 2 shows, in perspective, the tray of the invention, obtained from the blank of FIG. 1.

Le flan F de carton ou de carton ondulé, conforme à la présente invention et représenté sur la figure 1, comporte un panneau central 1, présentant la forme d'un octogone au moins approximativement régulier de côtés c, quatre volets latéraux triangulaires 2 et quatre volets latéraux rectangulaires 3.The blank F of cardboard or corrugated cardboard, according to the present invention and shown in FIG. 1, comprises a central panel 1, having the shape of an octagon at least approximately regular with sides c , four triangular lateral flaps 2 and four rectangular side flaps 3.

Each of the four triangular side flaps 2 is connected by its base, via a fold line 4, to one side c of said central panel 1, said fold line 4 occupying most of said side. Similarly, each of the four rectangular flaps 3 is connected by one of its sides, by means of a fold line 5, to one side c of said central panel 1. The triangular side flaps 2 are two by two opposite with respect to at the center of said central panel 1. The same is true of the rectangular side flaps 3 and, at the periphery of said central panel 1, said triangular 2 and rectangular 3 side flaps are alternated.

Des rabats 6 prolongent les extrémités libres opposées de chaque volet latéral rectangulaire 3, lesdits rabats 6 étant reliés audit volet latéral rectangulaire 3 correspondant par des lignes de pliage 7 perpendiculaires aux lignes de pliage 5.Flaps 6 extend the opposite free ends of each rectangular side flap 3, said flaps 6 being connected to said corresponding rectangular side flap 3 by fold lines 7 perpendicular to the fold lines 5.

Avec ce téton de gerbage 8, chaque volet latéral triangulaire 2 présente, perpendiculairement à la ligne de pliage 4 correspondante, une hauteur totale H.Each triangular side flap 2 comprises, at its apex opposite the corresponding fold line 4, a stacking stud 8. With this stacking stud 8, each triangular side flap 2 has, perpendicular to the corresponding fold line 4, a height total H.

La hauteur h des rabats 6, parallèlement aux lignes de pliage 5, est inférieure à la hauteur totale H desdits volets latéraux triangulaires 2.The height h of the flaps 6, parallel to the fold lines 5, is less than the total height H of said triangular side flaps 2.

Par ailleurs, au moins l'un des rabats 6 se trouvant en regard de chaque volet triangulaire 2 a une longueur l au moins approximativement égale à celle du côté c dudit panneau central 1 auquel est relié ledit volet latéral triangulaire 2, par l'intermédiaire de la ligne de pliage 4.Furthermore, at least one of the flaps 6 located opposite each triangular flap 2 has a length l at least approximately equal to that of the side c of said central panel 1 to which said triangular side flap 2 is connected, via of the fold line 4.

As can be seen in Figure 1, each stacking nipple 8 is partially cut in the flap 6 of length l located opposite the triangular side flap 2 corresponding.

In the vicinity of each fold line 4, the central panel 1 comprises a stacking notch 9 corresponding to the corresponding stacking stud 8.

  • du fait de la longueur l donnée à au moins l'un des rabats 6 associés à chaque volet triangulaire 2, cette longueur est suffisante pour joindre des volets rectangulaires 3 séparés par un volet triangulaire 2, de sorte que la continuité du rebord périphérique du plateau P est assurée ;
  • du fait du rapport entre les hauteurs h et H, les tétons de gerbage 8 font saillie au-dessus des rabats 6. Ils peuvent donc être introduits dans les échancrures de gerbage 9 d'un plateau P identique ;
To obtain the stackable tray P of the invention, shown in Figure 7, from the blank F, shown in Figure 1, we fold the triangular side flaps 2 and the rectangular side flaps 3, on the same side of the central panel 1 , around the fold lines 4 and 5, respectively, until they are brought into a position orthogonal to said central panel 1. Then, the flaps 6 are slightly folded around the fold lines 7, to apply them against the triangular side flaps 2 and it is secured, for example by gluing, each triangular side flap 2 with the two associated flaps 6. Note that:
  • because of the length l given to at least one of the flaps 6 associated with each triangular flap 2, this length is sufficient to join rectangular flaps 3 separated by a triangular flap 2, so that the continuity of the peripheral edge of the plate P is insured;
  • due to the relationship between the heights h and H, the stacking pins 8 protrude above the flaps 6. They can therefore be introduced into the stacking notches 9 of an identical plate P;
  • the central panel 1 forms the bottom of the plate P, the peripheral rim thereof being formed alternately by the rectangular side flaps 3, on the one hand, and the triangular side flaps 2 and the flaps 6, on the other hand.
