Description

The invention relates to a puzzle according to the preamble of claim 1.

Puzzle games are known and e.g. described in DE 38 21 2 97 A1. The game of patience consists of two half-shells that can be rotated against each other and are jointly mounted on one axis. Each half-shell has four clipped segments, which can be of different colors and have different information symbols at both ends. Each half-shell has four semicircular openings, in each of which two rotating segments are rotatably supported as a quarter segment. When turning the half-shell, it can snap in such a way that the rotating segments of both half-shells are in the same position. This makes it possible to turn the rotating segments from one half shell to the other. This results in a locking position of the rotating segments, which allows the half-shells to be turned. By turning a half-shell, two rotating segments are shifted by 90 ° or a multiple thereof. The rotating segments have different information content, so that there are several possible combinations. A disadvantage of the known puzzle is the fact that each rotating segment has to be actuated individually, so that the problem of the puzzle can be solved with minimal effort.

Starting from the above prior art, the invention is based on the problem of a puzzle create, the difficulty levels can be adjusted as needed so that a large variety of game variants can be reached, which can only be solved with a lot of thought.

The task is solved by a game of patience as defined in claim 1.

The basic idea of the invention is, in particular, to provide two disks or rings with recesses into which elements can be inserted, which can be rotated about radial axes by means of an actuating device and thereby can be transferred from one ring to the other. The level of difficulty of the puzzle depends on the one hand on the number of element pairs and on the other hand on how many element pairs are rotated at the same time. Another peculiarity of the proposed puzzle is that a design variant of the puzzle does not indicate which steps have already been taken to get from the starting position to the present position.

When the patience is operated, the procedure is such that the rings which can be rotated relative to one another are always rotated such that two elements each form a pair of elements and can work together with the actuating device. When the actuating device is actuated, the desired number of element pairs can be rotated as required, namely by 180 °. The element arranged in a ring is transported into the second ring, while the element mounted in the second ring is transferred into the first ring. As the number of pairs of elements that can be rotated at the same time increases, the level of difficulty of the puzzle also increases. By simply converting the actuating device, it is achieved how many pairs of elements are rotated when the actuating device is actuated. The user can actuate the actuating device with his thumb.

In the figures, a game of patience is shown with two coaxial recesses 12, 14 which can be rotated relative to one another about a common axis 10 and face one another, with rings 20 and 22 having elements 16, 18 mounted in them, the rings 20 and 22 being in several relative positions to one another Two opposite and coaxial recesses 12 and 14 each define a receptacle for a pair of elements 16, 18 consisting of two elements 16 and 18, which can be rotated by means of an actuating device 24 while transferring elements 16 and 18 into the other ring 20 and 22. Each ring 20 and 22 has eight recesses 12 and 14, which are evenly distributed around the axis 10. The rings are identical, so that the rings 20 and 22 could be interchanged within the game of patience.

The actuating device 24 has a manually operable actuating body 26 which cooperates with one or more coupling members 28. The coupling members 28 are arranged coaxially to the element pairs 16-18 and can be rotated about the same axes 32, 34 and 36. Furthermore, the figures show that the elements 16 and 18 having the same shape have radially aligned means 30 which cooperate with the actuating body 26 and which are designed as projections and can be rotated about the axes 32, 34 and 36. The actuator body 26 is Adjustable back and forth in the direction of the axis 10, essentially cuboid and has in its outer wall four axially aligned recesses 72 which are rectangular in cross section, into each of which a rack 40 with teeth 42 can be inserted. The racks 40 can assume the effective and ineffective operating position. The position of the rack 40 shown by A represents its effective operating position, while the position of the rack 40 shown by B, which is accommodated in the recess 72, assumes an ineffective operating position. The toothed racks 40 essentially have an L-shaped profile and are supported in their effective state in the region of the vertically extending outer edges of the base body 44. The teeth 42 are arranged outside the corresponding recess 72, while in the inoperative operating state (position B) they are arranged inside the recess 72. The rack 40 is taken along when the actuating body 26 is moved back and forth and meshes with the corresponding gear 38 of the coupling piece 28.

The actuating device 24 consists of a driver 56, a counterpart 60 and the actuating body 26 arranged in them. Both the driver 56 and the counterpart 60 each have a recess 58 and 62, which are continuously connected to one another and in which the actuating body 26 is arranged. The axial length of the actuating body 26 is less than the clear height of the through opening formed in the actuating device 24. The actuating body 26 (see FIG. 3) consists of the base body 44, which has a circular and disc-shaped head 43 in its lower region, while its opposite end has a threaded bore 70 into which a screw plug 64 with a thread 66 can be screwed . For better actuation of the locking screw 64, a transverse slot 68 is formed so that the locking screw 64 can be actuated, for example, by means of a screwdriver. The substantially cuboid body 44 is with the four Racks 40 operatively connectable, which can assume an effective working position (position A) and an ineffective working position (position B). The elongated inner edge of the two legs of the rack is supported on one of the elongated outer edges of the base body 26. In the inactive state, however (cf. item B), the longer leg, which has the teeth 42, is fully accommodated in the recess 72. He can not work with any gear 38 of the coupling member 28. In the operating state of the game of patience, the base body 26 is equipped with at least one rack, but two, three or four racks could also be provided. Of course, it would also be possible to design the base body as an elongated body, the cross section of which is a regular N-corner (N = 5, 6, 7 ...). The number of racks and the number of pairs of elements 16 - 18 that can be actuated at the same time also increases the level of difficulty of the puzzle. The user has it in his hand to change the level of difficulty of the game of patience by equipping the base body 26 with a corresponding number of racks 40.
The element pairs 16 - 18 (cf. in particular FIGS. 3, 5, 6) each define a common means 30 which is designed as a bearing journal 52 with a tongue 29. The common tongue 29 is in the operating state of the patience in operative connection with the groove 39, which in turn is part of the clutch mechanism 28. In the extension of the axis 34 and on the opposite side of the hemispherical elements 16 and 18 there are bearing pins 54 which are mounted in bearing recesses 17 (see FIG. 6), while the bearing pins 52 are mounted in the bearing recesses 15. 6, the ring 22 has an outer collar 21 in which the bearing recesses 17 are formed, and an inner collar 13 in which the bearing recesses 15 are formed.

The coupling members 28 are mounted in bearing recesses 41 of the driver 56 and counterpart 60. In order to prevent axial displacement of the coupling member 28, it has a flange 31 which is mounted in a not shown groove of the driver 56 and counterpart 60. The counterpart 60 (see FIG. 6) also has recesses 49 for spring elements 47 and locking knobs 50 which can engage in recesses 48 of a complementary shape of a pressure ring 46. The spring-loaded pressure ring 46 is used to be able to safely set individual operating positions of the game of patience.

In the assembled state of the game of patience and in its starting position (see FIGS. 1 and 3), two recesses 12 and 14 define a common recess for a pair of elements 16-18. The actuating body 26 is in one of its two end positions, so that the Grooves 39 of the coupling members 28 lie in the plane 6 of the rotation. Now the rings 20 and 22 can be rotated in the direction of the double arrows (see FIG. 1) in such a way that the upper elements 18, new elements 16 are assigned. New pairs of recesses 12-16 are thus formed. If the actuating body 26 is now displaced upward from its lower position, for example shown in FIG. 3, in the direction of the double arrow 8, then those coupling members 28 which cooperate with toothed racks 40 are rotated by 180 °, so that the upper elements 18 in the lower one Ring 22 are displaced while the lower elements 16 are displaced into the upper ring 20. The element pairs 16-18 are rotated about the axes 32, 34 and 36. Now the rings 20 and 22 can be rotated against each other again, so that new element pairs 16-18 are defined, and the adjustment process of the actuating device 26 is repeated. The game of patience shown in FIGS. 1 to 6 has a total of eight pairs of elements 16-18 each defining a sphere, all elements 16, 18 having the same geometry, but only two elements 16, 18 being identical look (they can have the same color, for example). In the starting position, the puzzle has eight balls (element pairs 16 - 18), which only differ in color. By turning the rings 20 and 22 against each other and shifting the actuating device 26, new color combinations of element pairs 16-18 are achieved, so that, for example, the upper element is red, while the lower element of a pair of elements 16-18 is green. The task then is to operate the elements 16 and 18 so that they assume their original position.

Das Geduldspiel besteht zweckmäßigerweise aus gespritztem Kunststoff. The patience suitably consists of injection molded plastic.
