Die Verpackungsmaschine weist einen Maschinenrahmen 1 und nacheinander angeordnet eine Formstation 2, eine Evakuier- und Versiegelungsstation 3 und eine Schneideinrichtung 4 auf. In der Verpackungsmaschine wird eine Folienbahn 5 von der Eingangsseite in die Maschine eingeführt. In der Formstation werden aus der Folienbahn Behälter geformt. Die Kolbeneinrichtung weist eine Markierung auf. Es ist ein Sensor 17 so angeordnet, daß er die Markierung erfaßt, wenn das Widerlager gerade in der oben beschriebenen ausgefahrenen Stellung ist. Der Ausgang des Sensors ist mit einem Eingang einer Steuerung 18 verbunden. Ein Ausgang der Steuerung ist mit dem Steuereingang der Antriebseinrichtung 15 verbunden. Die schiefe Ebene des Keiles 13 ist so gewählt, daß das dickere Ende des Keiles auf der mit dem Antrieb verbundenen Seite liegt.The piston rod 8 has a slot 13 extending perpendicular to its axis. Sobald der Sensor 17 durch Erfassen der Markierung feststellt, daß diese Stellung erreicht ist, wird über die Steuerung 18 die Antriebseinrichtung 15 eingeschaltet, wodurch der Keil in den Schlitz bewegt und damit eine zusätzliche mechanische Kraft in Richtung auf die Folienbahn ausgeübt wird, so daß diese um ein kleines Stück nach oben vorgespannt wird. Der Keil bleibt dann arretiert, bis der eigentliche Schneidvorgang durch Eintauchen des Messers 12 erfolgt ist. Dabei wird die dabei entstehende Kraft nicht auf die Kolben-Zylindereinrichtung sondern auf den Keil beziehungsweise das diesen tragene Widerlager 19 übertragen.In operation, the wedge 14 is initially in the retracted position such that the piston rod can be moved freely on the film web from the lowered position into the position described above and shown in FIG. 2. Claims (3)

  1. Packaging machine with a cutting device (4),
    wherein an abutment (9) and a knife (12) are arranged on opposite sides of a packaging material web (5),
    said abutment (9) being connected to a pneumatically driven piston-cylinder-device (6) for moving up to the foil web (5),
    characterized in that
    the piston cylinder device (6) is connected to an element (14) engaging with the piston (8),
    the element (14) being movable by a drive (15) controlled by a control system (18) such
    that the piston (8) is moved a further distance towards the knife (12) by this element (14) when reaching an end position by applying compressed air to the cylinder (7), and then the piston rod (8) is latched in its position for cutting.
  2. Packaging machine with a cutting device according to claim 1,
    characterized in that
    in the end position reached by means of the element (14) a force is applied which is larger than the force providable by the piston cylinder device (6).
  3. Packaging machine with a cutting device according to claim 1 or 2,
    characterized in that
    firstly the packaging machine produces a web of connected packages,
    the piston cylinder device (6) is provided for a periodical motion of the abutment (9) from a retracted position into the first position up to the foil web, and
    a latching device is provided for latching the piston rod (8) in the cutting position by means of the element (14) engaging therewith,
    the piston rod (8) carrying the abutment (9) and engaging the element (14) at the piston rod (8), the element (14) being designed such and movable through the drive (15) controlled by the control system (18) such that the piston rod (8) is moved by the element (14) by a further distance towards the knife into a second position when reaching the first position by applying compressed air to the cylinder (7) and that the piston rod (8) is latched by the element (14) for cutting in the second position, whereafter the knife (12) is operated for cutting.
