Description

The present invention relates to an emergency stop device or parachute of an elevator car of the damped or instantaneous type with damped effect, capable of acting by jamming between an element of said car and at least one fixed rail on which the latter is guided during operation, the engagement of said parachute being effected automatically by means of a speed limiter when the latter is triggered, the cabin having damping means linked to the action of the parachute.

With regard to an elevator stipulates in its article 9.8.2, concerning the conditions of use of the different types of parachutes, that these must be with damped grip if the nominal speed of the elevator exceeds 1 meter /second. On the other hand, the same standard stipulates that they can be instantaneous setting if it does not exceed 0.63 m / second, or instantaneous damping effect if said nominal speed does not exceed 1 m / second.

In other words, between 0.63 m / second and 1 m / second, the parachutes can be instantaneous on the condition that this catch has a damped effect.

To obtain this effect, one could of course think of interposing, between the bottom of the cabin and its support frame sliding on the fixed guide rails, damping members, for example rubber cleats of appropriate density and dimensions.

This would undoubtedly provide the desired effect but would create a certain number of drawbacks, the main one of which would be that of modifying the relative position of the cabin with respect to its support frame as a function of the load and therefore of modifying the position of the floor of cabin when stopped compared to landings of the floors to be served.

This would have the consequence of creating a step between said cabin floor and the landing of the floor in question, which, as is well understood, is detrimental to the safety of people who may come up against this step.

Furthermore, it seems impossible to have damping devices adapted to each case of using the cabin as a function of its load to avoid the disadvantage of the shift.

Of course, one could also think, starting from the principle that, who can do the most can the least, to use parachutes with damped grip which are compulsory only above a nominal speed of 1 m / second. The aforementioned standard does not preclude this.

However, if this solution makes it possible to fill the technological vacuum which currently exists in terms of parachute having to operate between 0.63 m / second and 1 m / second, it also constitutes an unsuitable means and especially of a too high cost price and not justified in the range of elevators considered.

Indeed, cushioned parachutes are a very complex achievement.

They are constituted in a known manner by an elastic jaw in which the guide rail slides, said jaw comprising on either side of the branches which compose it, hence the rail, a first movable element in the form of a wedge, capable of to be actuated downwards via the speed limiter when the latter is triggered, and a second mobile element or progressive brake shoe.

During a downward action on the aforementioned corner, this causes a contact by jamming on the rail and consequently, on the shoe simultaneously, the latter acting against a return spring. which is integral with it causing a progressive damped stop.

Depreciation is carried out here simultaneously with jamming, hence the concept of damped grip.

Contrary to that, the parachutes with instantaneous catch are of a great simplicity and the inventive step consisted in using these and perfecting them so as to reach the desired goal, namely to obtain a parachute generally having simple, effective damping means which have no influence on the relative position of the cabin with respect to the guide rail in normal operation.

It can be estimated that the device according to the invention may be perfectly suitable for the production of a cushioned parachute meeting the standard, since an instantaneous catch immediately followed by damping can, unless proven otherwise, be considered as a technical equivalent and therefore, the proposed device may be just as suitable for constituting an instantaneous parachute with damped effect (<1 m / second), as a parachute with damped effect (> 1 m / second).

To this end, the invention relates to an emergency stop device or parachute of an elevator car of the type with damped grip or instantaneous grip with damped effect, capable of acting by jamming between an element of said cabin. and at least one fixed rail on which the latter is guided during operation, the engagement of said parachute being effected automatically by means of a speed limiter when the latter is triggered, the cabin having means of damping linked to the action of the parachute, characterized in that the damping means are interposed between an instantaneous parachute and the cabin and act on it immediately after the engagement of the instantaneous parachute on the guide rail which is effected by means of a roller which acts by wedging between a ramp of an internal housing of the parachute and the guide rail which passes through it.

  • la figure 1 représente schématiquement un parachute selon l'invention par rapport à une cabine d'ascenseur;
  • les figures 2, 3, 4 représentent respectivement, à échelle agrandie, un parachute selon l'invention, en vue de face, de dessus simplifiée et de côté, dans une position correspondante à une marche normale de l'ascenseur;
The invention will be better understood and other characteristics thereof will be highlighted with the aid of the description which follows, with reference to the appended schematic drawings, illustrating by way of nonlimiting examples, how the invention can be performed and in which:
  • Figure 1 shows schematically a parachute according to the invention with respect to an elevator car;
  • Figures 2, 3, 4 show respectively, on an enlarged scale, a parachute according to the invention, in front view, simplified top and side, in a position corresponding to a normal step of the elevator;
  • Figures 5 and 6 show respectively in front view and simplified top, a parachute according to the invention, after engagement of the latter.

The cabin 1 designated as a whole in FIG. 1 is of the type, cited by way of nonlimiting example, supported by an arch 2 constituting a support frame of which a lower part is constituted by two U-shaped sections 3 and 4 whose backs 3a, 4a are arranged opposite one another at a distance "d" such as to delimit a longitudinal housing 5 at the ends of which the parachute 6 according to the invention is housed.

As also shown in Figure 1, the elevator car 1 is guided during operation on longitudinal rails 7 and 8 fixed on the sides of the elevator shaft (not shown), the guidance being effected by a sliding of the guide nose 7a in an internal housing 9 of the parachute 6 and a hollowed out part 10 of the yoke frame 2.

The parachute 6 according to the invention is of the type with instantaneous catch with damped effect or with damped grip as mentioned above, and it acts by wedging between a fixed element of the cabin 1, in this case the sections 3 and 4 of the chassis 2 and the guide rails 7 and 8 on which said cabin 1 is guided by means of the internal housings 9 of the parachutes 6, arranged on either side of the cabin 1.

In known manner, the engagement of the parachutes 6 takes place automatically via a speed limiter (not shown) when the latter is triggered.

The actuating cable 13 actuates by known means and therefore not shown, a roller 14 which acts by wedging between an inclined ramp 15 of the internal housing 9 of the parachute 6 and the guide rail respectively 7, 8 which passes through it to bring said said rail resting against the right wall 16 of the same housing 9.

The parachute 6 has damping means 17, 18 linked to its own action. Damping means 17, 18 are interposed (see FIG. 2) between the upper part 19 of said instantaneous parachute 6 and the chassis 2 of the cabin 1 secured to these lower sections 3, 4.

Des moyens d'amortissement 17, 18 sont agencés de telle sorte à exercer une action sur la cabine 1 immédiatement après le déclenchement du parachute à prise instantanée 6 sur le rail guide 7, 8.Damping means 17, 18 are arranged so as to exert an action on the cabin 1 immediately after the triggering of the parachute at instantaneous grip 6 on the guide rail 7, 8.

According to the present embodiment, the parachute 6 is constituted by a slide capable of moving longitudinally in the housing 5 delimited by the walls 3a, 4a of the sections 3, 4 and the frame 2 forming the bottom of the housing 5 which contains it.

This movement takes place against the damping means 17, 18 by means of vertical guide means 20, along a stroke L1 substantially equal to a crushing value of the damping means 17, 18 interposed between part 19 of the parachute 6 and the bottom 2 of the housing 5 which contains it.

This so that during an instantaneous catch by wedging the roller 14 against the rail 7, 8 in the housing 9 of the parachute 6 (see FIG. 5), there follows an overtravel L2 downwards, of the profiles 2 , 3 hence the chassis 2, hence the cabin 1, overtravel L2 equal to the predetermined crushing value L1.

This is particularly well illustrated by FIG. 5 which shows the parachute 6, on the one hand in position A, called the rest position, as shown in FIG. 2, and on the other hand in position B after triggering.

The vertical guide means 20 of the parachute 6 in its housing 5, are constituted by oblong slots 21 arranged opposite each side of the lateral faces 3a, 4a, of said housing 5 and in which are suitable for vertically slide pins 22, 23, 24, 25 integral with the corresponding lateral faces of the parachute 6 according to a stroke equal to the crushing value L2 of the damping means 17, 18, not acting on the relative position of the cabin 1 compared to guides 7, 8, only in the case of a parachute catch 6.

The guide pins 22, 23, 24, 25 of the parachute 6 are arranged symmetrically two by two, that is to say 22, 23 and 24, 25 on its lateral faces. Furthermore, it has been preferred that the guide pins 22, 23, 24, 25 are constituted by corresponding cylindrical screw heads 26, 27, 28, 29, screwed into the parachute 6 by rotating action in a hollow polygonal housing 30, 31, 32, 33 of said corresponding screws 26, 27, 28, 29. It may also be noted that the overtravel L2 of the cabin 1 or of the crushing value of these damping means 17, 18, is equal to the length L4 of the guide lights 21 minus the external distance L5 of two guide pins 22, 23 and 24, 25 of the parachute 6. The damping means 17, 18 are constituted by elastic members with energy accumulation.

The elastic damping members are constituted by helical springs 17, 18 acting in compression against the crushing stroke L1 of the cabin 1, immediately after an instantaneous catch of the parachute 6 on the guide rail 7, 8, to obtain damping, the crushing of said springs 17, 18 being determined as a function of the stroke of the pins 22, 23 and 24, 25 in their corresponding guide lumen 21.

The helical springs 17, 18 are partially housed in corresponding recesses 34, 35 blind, formed on an upper face 19 of the parachute 6 on either side of the guide rail 7, 8, so as to ensure a balanced distribution of the damping on the cab 1.

The emergency stop device which has just been described further comprises an anti-rebound system acting immediately after a first crushing of the elastic damping means 17, 18 and which is constituted by a keeper 36 articulated freely on an axis exterior 37 secured to at least one of the parallel sections 3, 4 defining the housing 5 of the parachute 6, which keeper 36 is capable of spreading in a pandular movement under the action of a locking finger 38 coming from the parachute 6 and passing through the guide lumen 21, the keeper 36 being able to hook onto said finger 38 by a hook-shaped part 39 succeeding a ramp-shaped part 40.

The pendulum movement of the keeper 36 when it is urged by the locking finger 38 takes place against a return spring 41 interposed between a lower part C of said keeper 36 and a fixed part D of the profiles 3 , 4.

Le dispositif anti-rebond peut commander simultanément un coupe-circuit électrique de l'ascenseur (non représenté).The anti-rebound device can simultaneously control an electrical circuit breaker for the elevator (not shown).

There are two parachutes 6 on either side of the sections 3, 4 constituting a chassis part 2 of cabin 1, to ensure that the latter is balanced when the parachute is taken.

The unlocking of cabin 1 after taking a parachute is carried out by manual intervention on the parachute 6 by moving said cabin 1 upwards in order to disengage said parachute, then by action on the keeper 36 of the anti-rebound system .

Such a device has the advantage, in addition to those already mentioned, of allowing the parachute to operate even if the anti-rebound system is not disarmed after operation, but the damping effects are then eliminated.

Indeed, the anti-rebound system is completely independent of the functioning of the parachute and the damping means.

Similarly, if it does not arm during operation, the action of the parachute is not compromised, only the anti-rebound effect is then suppressed.

It is also possible to have several sets of springs of different types to cover the lift range, depending on their authorized load, in principle three types of springs cover, according to tests, a range from 180 to 1,000 kg of payload.

This offers the advantage of having few different damping values depending on the payload of the lift to be equipped using a standard instantaneous parachute, therefore economical, avoiding adjustments (always delicate interventions) and the sealing the parachute.

Of course, depending on the scenario, we can also play on the calibration of the springs and their length to obtain a parachute of the type with damped grip, or instantaneous grip with damped effect.
