Der Antriebsmotor 84 ist auf einem Schlitten 88 angeordnet, der in einem die schwimmende Lagerung 90 der Kontaktrolle 78 enthaltenden Gehäuse 92 angeordnet. Zur Vorspannung des Schleifbandes dient eine Bandspannvorrichtung 94, die mit dem Schlitten 88 des Antriebsmotors 84 zusammenwirkt und dadurch die Antriebsrolle 86 entgegen der Kontaktrolle 78 vorspannt. Die Bandspannvorrichtung 94 weist ein Kolben/Zylinder-Aggregat 96 auf, welches über Leitungen 98,100 mit einer Fluid-Vorrichtung 102 verbunden ist. Die schwimmende Lagerung 90 der Kontaktrolle 78 enthält im Gehäuse 92 angeordnete Längsführungen 104,106 für eine Achse 108, auf der die Kontaktrolle 78 drehbar gelagert ist. Die Längsführungen 104,106 verlaufen senkrecht zu der zu bearbeitenden Fläche, d.h. radial zur Walze 4. In der Längsführung 104,106 ist die Achse 108 an Kolben/Zylinder-Aggregaten 110,112 nachgiebig abgestützt. Hierzu sind die Druckräume der Kolben/Zylinder-Aggregate über Verbindungsleitungen 114,116 miteinander verbunden. Die Kolben/Zylinder-Aggregate 110,112 sind überdies über Leitungen 118,120 an der Fluid-Vorrichtung 102 angeschlossen. Die Kolben/Zylinder-Aggregate 110,112 dienen gleichzeitig auch zur Zustellung der Kontaktrolle gegen die zu bearbeitende Fläche, d.h. die Walze 4. Eine Richtvorrichtung 122 dient zum Ausrichten der Kontaktrolle beim Zustellen und Aufsetzen der Kontaktrolle 78 an der zu bearbeitenden Fläche um ein einseitiges Aufsetzen und damit Anschleifen der Walze 4 zu vermeiden. Die Richtvorrichtung 122 enthält beidseits der Kontaktrolle 78 angeordnete Gewindestifte 124 (von denen nur einer dargestellt ist) mit einer verschleissfesten Kontaktfläche 126, die bezüglich der Arbeitsstelle des Schleifbandes um wenige Zahntelmillimeter zurückgesetzt ist. Der Gewindestift 124 ist auf einer Schutzabdeckung 128 für die schwimmende Lagerung 90 befestigt, die ihrerseits mit der Achse 108 der Kontaktrolle 78 verbunden ist. Wird die Kontaktrolle 78 ungleichmässig zugestellt, so kommt einer der beiden Gewindestifte 124 mit der Walze 4 in Berührung und bringt die Kontaktrolle 78 in die bezüglich der Walze im wesentlichen ausgerichtete Stellung.FIGS. 1, 2 and 7 show the grinding device 18 in the form of a belt grinding device. Wird die Kontaktrolle 78 mit Hilfe der Kolben/Zylinder-Aggregate 110,112 gegen die zu bearbeitende Fläche, d.h. die Walze 4 vorgeschoben, so wird das Kolben/Zylinder-Aggregat 96 in dem Masse zurückgefahren, dass die einmal eingestellte Bandspannung gleich bleibt. Beim Schleifen sorgen die Führungsrollen 80,82 für die Stabilisierung des Schleifbandes auf der Kontaktrolle 78, insbesondere auch dann, wenn auf Grund der Kontur der zu bearbeitenden Flächen die Kontaktrolle 78 aufgrund der schwimmenden Lagerung 90 eine von der Grundstellung abweichende Winkellage einnimmt. Aufgrund der schwimmenden Lagerung 90 kann die Kontaktrolle 78 der Kontur einer zu schleifenden Fläche folgen. Dadurch ist es möglich, ohne besondere Massnahmen eine bestehende Fläche nachzuschleifen, insbesondere auszubessern. Claims (14)

  1. Grinding apparatus for grinding a cylindrical or spherical surface of a roller, particularly a roller in a paper-making machine, having a frame (6) which is movable on rollers (8) and on which a grinding machine (18) adapted to be driven by a motor (84) is mounted, characterised in that the rollers (8) are constructed so as to set the frame (6) down on a doctor blade (10) or on a rail (56) replacing the doctor blade (10) of a scraping device (2) associated with the roller (4), the frame (6) having a support roller (14) mounted on an adjustable holder (12) for resting laterally on a carrier (16) for the doctor blade (10).
  2. Grinding apparatus according to claim 1, characterised in that the holder (12) has at least one arm (20, 22) mounted on the frame (6), this arm being directed transversely with respect to the plane of the rollers (8), whilst on this arm (20, 22), via a double clamping member (24), a rod (28) is mounted which extends transversely with respect to the arm (20, 22) and at its lower end carries the support roller (14) the plane of which extends substantially transversely of the plane containing the rollers (8).
  3. Grinding apparatus according to claim 1 or 2, characterised in that the support roller (14) is mounted halfway along the frame (6).
  4. Grinding apparatus according to one of claims 1 to 3, characterised in that at least one roller (8) is drivable by a motor (40), the connection between the motor (40) and roller (8) preferably being adapted to be switched on and off by means of a switching coupling (44).
  5. Grinding apparatus according to one of claims 1 to 4, characterised in that it has a rail (56) of L-shaped cross section which can be exchanged for the doctor blade (10) of the scraping device (2) of the roller (4), the rollers (8) having associated securing rollers (58) which can be pivoted inwards towards the inside (60) of the L-shaped rail (56).
  6. Grinding apparatus according to one of claims 1 to 5, characterised in that the frame (6) and the grinding apparatus (18) are designed to be connectable at both ends alternately.
  7. Grinding apparatus according to one of claims 1 to 6, characterised in that the grinding apparatus (18) is constructed as a belt grinding apparatus.
  8. Grinding apparatus according to claim 7, characterised in that the belt grinding apparatus (18) has a floating contact roller (78) having, on both sides, associated guide rollers (80, 92) for the grinding belt (76).
  9. Grinding apparatus according to claim 8, characterised in that the spindle (108) of the contact roller (78) is mounted in longitudinal guides (104, 106) which are directed perpendicularly to the roller (4) which is to be machined, the spindle (108) preferably being resiliently supported on both sides of the contact roller (78).
  10. Grinding apparatus according to claim 9, characterised in that the spindle (108) of the contact roller (78) is supported on both sides on piston/cylinder assemblies (110, 112) the corresponding pressure chambers of which are connected to one another by a line (114, 116).
  11. Grinding apparatus according to claim 10, characterised in that the piston/cylinder assemblies (110, 112) are connected to a fluid device (102) and are constructed so as to apply the contact roller (78) to the roller (4) which is to be machined.
  12. Grinding apparatus according to one of claims 7 to 11, characterised in that the belt grinding apparatus (18) has a drive motor (84), arranged on a displaceably mounted carriage (88), with a drive roller (86) for the grinding belt (76), the drive motor (84) being connected to a belt tensioning device (94).
  13. Grinding apparatus according to claims 11 and 12, characterised in that the belt tensioning device (94) has a piston/cylinder assembly (96) co-operating with the carriage (88) of the drive motor (84), this assembly (96) co-operating via the fluid device (102) with the piston/cylinder assemblies (110, 112) of the contact roller (78) so that the prestressing force remains substantially constant throughout the application of the contact roller (78) and/or the machining.
  14. Grinding apparatus according to one of claims 1 to 13, characterised in that the grinding apparatus (18) has a straightening device (122) for aligning the grinding member relative to the roller (4) during the process of positioning against the roller (4).
