- the invention therefore relates to a method and an installation for producing a surface coating on articles of various shapes, of the type according to which the objects to be treated are arranged on supports in the form of swings hung on a conveyor connected to ground, making it possible to route them along successive treatment zones essentially comprising a surface cleaning zone, a coating zone proper consisting essentially of an apparatus for electrostatic projection of a coating product by means of a nozzle forming a cloud of particles in the form of a paraboloid, the passage of the objects being carried out in such a way that it passes through the cloud of particles at the level of the base of the paraboloid which they define and it is characterized in that the articles to be coated are based on synthetic resin or similar insulating material and are held individually and vertically nt on the swings ensuring their movement in the different treatment zones, and this by means of supports that are good conductors of electricity, ensuring continuous contact with the surface of the object to be coated.
