Description

The invention relates to a concealed pipe interrupter according to the preamble of claim 1.

Pipe interrupters are used in drinking water pipes in the flow direction between the water shut-off and the water drain, such as. B. installed a shower hose to prevent the back suction of contaminated water into the drinking water network in the event of a pressure drop in the drinking water line. For this purpose, the pipe interrupter is formed with air inlet openings, which are open in a conventional design at zero flow and are only closed from the inside by moving parts of the pipe interrupter at internal pressure-generating water flow and which on the outside of the pipe interrupter z. B. must be formed by the mouth between deeply cut housing ribs so that covering and closing of the air inlet openings on the outside of the pipe interrupter is prevented. Because of the resulting external appearance and size, a flush-mounted installation of pipe interrupters is often desired, especially in the sanitary area, instead of an exposed installation. In a flush-mounted pipe interrupter known for this purpose, a tubular interrupter functional part is inserted, when inserted into a round flush-mounted box, with the end faces of its inlet and outlet ends butt against the end faces of the two line connections opening into the flush-mounted box at diametrically opposite locations and by O-rings between the end faces of the Interrupter function part and the line connections sealed. This requires a precise adjustment of the end faces and the overall length of the interrupter function part to the geometry of the round flush-mounted box and its line connections and makes the flush-mounted pipe interrupter expensive and complicated. The sealing of the end face contact of the functional part and socket connections is unsafe when inserting the functional part into the socket, since when the functional part is inserted transversely to its longitudinal axis, damage to the O-rings can occur between the ends of the line connections. Because of the butt joint of the end faces of the functional part and the socket connections, the functional part can also be rotated around the socket axis in the flush-mounted box, which is dangerous for the practical use of the flush-mounted pipe interrupter.

The object of the invention is therefore to create a flush-mounted pipe interrupter which does not require any expensive and complicated production outlay and which can be installed simply and reliably and can also be serviced during operation.

This object is achieved by the design of the pipe interrupter of the type mentioned with the features listed in the characterizing part of claim 1. A more detailed description of the concealed pipe interrupter according to the invention follows with reference to the drawing, in which an embodiment is shown. It shows
  • 1 shows the flush-mounted pipe interrupter in a vertical cross section,
  • Figure 2 shows the concealed pipe interrupter in the front view.

The flush-mounted pipe interrupter consists of a wall mounting box 1 and a tubular interrupter function part 2 of a type which is known per se and which requires a downward flow direction. The wall mounting box 1, which is open at the front and can be closed by a lid, has on its top an inlet connection 3 and on its underside an outlet connection 4. The interrupter function part 2 is formed with a cylindrical outlet end 5 which contains an O-sealing ring 6 on its circumference and which can be inserted axially into the outlet connection 4 and sealingly with the O-ring 6. For this axial insertion and for the connection to the inlet connection described below, the functional part 2 is formed with an axial length that is shorter than the clear distance between the openings of the two connections 3 and 4 in the wall installation box 1. In the box 1 opening end of the inlet connection 3, a sliding sleeve 7 is inserted, which is axially displaceable in the inlet connection 3 and sealed with an O-ring 8. The protruding from the inlet connection 3, the interrupter function part 2 facing end 9 of the sliding spout 7, after the functional part 2 has been inserted into the box 1 and inserted into the outlet connection 4, can be inserted into the inlet end 10 of the functional part 2 by pulling it out of the inlet connection 3 and sealed by an O-ring 11. To secure the connection of inlet connection 3, functional part 2 and outlet connection 4 by axially plugging one another, a removable clip 12 is placed on the sliding nozzle 7, which clip fills the distance between an end face 13 of the inlet connection 3 and a stop shoulder 14 formed on the sliding nozzle 7, so that the sliding grommet 7 cannot inadvertently retreat into the inlet connection 3. The wall box 1 is provided inside with ribs 15, which are provided with a trough-shaped recess 16 adapted to the circumferential contour of the interrupter functional part 2, that the functional part 2 is guided through the ribs 15 in a position in which the Longitudinal axis of the functional part 2 essentially with the longitudinal axes of the two connections 3 and 4 are aligned. This simplifies the insertion of the functional part 2 into the drain connection 4 and the insertion of the sliding spout 7 into the functional part 2 in a quick and safe manner.
