Description

The invention relates to a roof covering or wall cladding consisting of sheet metal sheets arranged next to one another, the individual sheet metal sheets of which along their two longitudinal edges are provided with upstanding longitudinal ribs, preferably formed by transverse stiffening beads, provided with longitudinal ribs and hook-shaped holders which can be fastened to a supporting structure the supporting structure are fastened, the longitudinal ribs of mutually immediately adjacent sheet metal sheets at least partially overlapping, such that the longitudinal ribs are designed differently from one side to the other of each sheet metal sheet in such a way that when the roof covering is installed, the one longitudinal rib of the one sheet metal sheet and the longitudinal rib facing it engages adjacent sheet metal web and wherein the hook-shaped cold-fit and non-positively in the head profile of at least one of two overlapping one another Intervene longitudinal ribs of adjacent sheet metal webs, a hook of the holder engaging the overlapping longitudinal rib.

A roof covering of the type described above, which is formed from sheets to be laid side by side, in particular sheet metal sheets, is known from GB-A-817 238. In this known roof covering, the longitudinal ribs of the sheet metal webs have no special cross-sectional profile and the free longitudinal edge of the overlapping longitudinal ribs is only folded inwards such that the overlapping longitudinal ribs can be clipped onto the hook-shaped holder from above. Although this enables simple and easy assembly, it also has the disadvantage that the hook-shaped ones Holders transferable to the sheet metal hold-down forces are completely inadequate.

In the case of roof coverings formed from sheet metal sheets to be laid side by side, each type of continuous, i.e. through the roof membrane, fasteners are dispensed with and, on the other hand, a secure fixing of the individual sheets is ensured both on the supporting structure and on one another. Particularly in view of the extremely high suction forces acting on the roof covering under extremely unfavorable conditions, the most stable connection possible between adjacent sheet metal sheets must be guaranteed and, above all, a complete mutual overlap and mutual contact of the longitudinal edges of adjacent sheet metal sheets must be ensured.

The most widespread application has therefore found such designs of such roof coverings, in which the sheet metal sheets are provided with overlapping longitudinal ribs on their two longitudinal edges and are held on the roof structure by means of holders to be fastened to the roof structure and which engage internally on the longitudinal ribs of the sheet metal sheets. For roof coverings of this type, the fastening of which is accomplished by means of holders located on the inside of the roof outer skin, only two different types have so far become known, but each with a more or less large number of different designs. In a first type, for example known from the Australian patent specification 255 260, it is provided in detail that the overlapped longitudinal rib of the one sheet metal sheet is in turn overlapped by the hook of a holder fastened to the roof structure and is thus held on the roof structure and that the adjacent sheet metal sheet is fastened by clamping on the overlapped longitudinal rib held against the roof structure in such a way that the overlapping longitudinal rib of the adjacent sheet metal web by means of a suitable design of its head profile on the head profile of the overlapped Longitudinal rib is clipped on. This type of roof covering has the fundamental disadvantage of inadequate resistance to attacking wind forces, since the fact that the overlapping longitudinal rib abuts the overlapped longitudinal rib as a result of the hooks of the holder overlapping the overlapped longitudinal rib is not bulky but rather bulges, which makes it already Relatively small attacking suction forces is made possible to roll up or lift out the anyway not particularly stable clamping connection between overlapping and overlapping longitudinal rib, with the result that the roof covering is destroyed.

In another, for example from DE-PS 22 56 584 known type of roof covering is therefore provided to avoid this inadequacy that the hook of the holder attached to the roof structure engages the inner circumference of the head profile of the overlapped longitudinal rib of a sheet metal sheet and this against the roof structure holds down and that then the overlapping longitudinal rib of the adjacent sheet metal web is held by means of a corresponding design of the head profiles exclusively by means of clamping on the outer circumference of the overlapped longitudinal rib. With this type of roof covering, the disadvantage of the aforementioned type is avoided and sufficient holding forces are achieved in practice, however, as with other types of roof coverings, their fastening is at least partially formed only via clamp connections, such as that according to DE -PS 1 292 358, only a strength of the association of the roof covering limited by the height of the clamping forces between the overlapping and overlapping longitudinal rib can be achieved, whereby it must be taken into account that these clamping forces must not be arbitrarily high with regard to the mountability of the roof covering, especially since the clipping on the overlapping longitudinal rib on the overlapped longitudinal rib already requires a considerable amount of time for the installation of such a conventional roof covering.

An essential feature of all known roof coverings of the type in question here is further that the sheet metal sheets must be provided with a third longitudinal rib to be arranged between the two edge-side longitudinal ribs in order to achieve sufficient stability of the attachment to the roof structure or the sheet bond, which, incidentally , as is evident, for example, from US Pat. No. 3,394,524 or Australian Patent Specification 226,784, is independent of the embodiment chosen in each case.

Based on this prior art, the invention has for its object to further improve a roof covering of the type described above in such a way that a larger inter-rib-free design and thus a greater coverage width of the individual sheet metal sheets and at the same time an additional simplification and ease of assembly and an overall essential Reduction in material costs can be achieved.

This object is achieved in that in a substantially trapezoidal profile cross-sectional shape of the head profile of the overlapping longitudinal rib, the hook of the holder a first on the overlapping longitudinal rib is formed by an inward and upward flaring back of its free profile edge, with which it is associated is in positive engagement and that the overlapped longitudinal rib is also in engagement with the hook of the holder via a head region having a profiled cross-sectional shape.

To achieve the best possible stability of the roof covering, it can be provided according to one embodiment that the hook of the holder is chosen with regard to its profile size so that it lies overall within the general contour of the rib cross-sectional shape of the overlapping rib, so that when the roof covering is installed, it is independent of the formation of the abutment for the holder hook no bulges of the free edge of the overlapping longitudinal rib can occur.

With the arrangement according to the invention, with easier installation and simplified design of the holder, a secure hold-down or a secure fixing of the overlapping longitudinal rib and thus also the overlapped longitudinal rib of the adjacent sheet metal web on the roof construction is automatically ensured by avoiding each clamp holder. Hand in hand with the form-fitting definition of the overlapping longitudinal ribs of adjacent sheet metal sheets on the roof structure, the advantage of a firmer bond of the roof covering is achieved overall, which enables the use of larger coverage widths of the individual sheet metal sheets, which further reduces the overall assembly effort for a roof covering. In addition, the form-fitting fixing of the roof covering on the roof construction makes it possible to dispense with the intermediate ribs which were previously essential for stiffening the sheet metal sheets or roof covering, so that the advantage of considerable material savings is additionally achieved. If, in the case of known types of roof coverings, the intermediate rib holders had to be assigned to achieve sufficient overall stability, the present invention also enables a substantial reduction in the cost of materials required.

An advantageous further development of the invention consists in that a second abutment formed on the head profile of the overlapping longitudinal rib is assigned to the hook of the holder and / or that at least one support cooperating with the inner circumference of the hook profile of the holder is formed on the overlapped longitudinal rib, furthermore also provided may be that a second support cooperating with the inner circumference of the hook profile of the holder is formed on the overlapped longitudinal rib.
The application of one or more of these features leads to an increase in the manufacturing or assembly costs for the parts the roof covering to further solidify the association of roof covering.

According to a particularly preferred embodiment, it is provided that an essentially trapezoidal profile cross-sectional shape of the holder is also assigned a substantially trapezoidal profile cross-sectional shape of the head profile of the overlapping longitudinal rib, with the free profile leg of the hook profile being an inwardly flanged and preferably flared edge area of the Head profile of the overlapping longitudinal rib is assigned as the first abutment and the lower horizontal profile web of the trapezoidal hook is assigned the upper wall of a longitudinal bead delimiting the head profile of the overlapping longitudinal rib as a second abutment.

In a further development of the preferred embodiment it can further be provided that the head profile of the overlapped longitudinal rib is only half trapezoidal in shape and rests with its free profile flange on the inner circumference of the hook profile.

An excellent sealing of the mutual overlap between the overlapping and the overlapped longitudinal rib or between two adjacent sheet metal webs can be achieved in that the transition of the overlapped longitudinal rib to its head profile as a contact surface for sealing, in particular for the sealing, middle or immediate contact of the edge area of the head profile of the overlapping longitudinal rib is formed, in which case it can also be provided that the area between the flanged edge region of the head profile of the overlapping longitudinal rib and the transition in the head profile of the overlapped longitudinal rib is designed as a labyrinth seal or that between the free edge or the flanged edge area of the head profile of the overlapping longitudinal rib and the transition from a seal, in particular a seal placed on the free edge area a continuous sealing profile strip is arranged.

In another embodiment of the invention it is provided that the head profile of the overlapped longitudinal rib in connection with an arcuate configuration of the hook of the holder has an essentially triangular profile cross-sectional shape.

In a further embodiment of the invention it is provided that the head profile of the overlapped longitudinal rib in conjunction with a hook of the holder which is only angled and engages behind the upper wall of the longitudinal bead delimiting the top profile of the overlapping longitudinal rib, the head profile of the overlapped longitudinal rib to the profile cross section of the head profile of the overlapping longitudinal rib is formed similarly trapezoidal.

Regardless of the particular embodiment chosen, it is expedient that the distance of the free profile leg of the hook to the support leg of the holder corresponds at least approximately to the largest, in particular diagonal profile diameter of the head profile of the overlapping longitudinal rib. However, in order to achieve a form-fitting contact of the suitable or certain surfaces of the head profile of the overlapping longitudinal rib on the corresponding parts of the inner circumference of the holder hook, which is also suitable with regard to possible tolerances, it can also be provided that the distance of the free end of the free profile leg of the holder hook to the support leg of the hook is slightly smaller than the largest, in particular diagonal profile diameter of the head profile of the overlapped longitudinal rib.

A roof covering, not shown in its entirety, consists of individual sheet metal webs 3 and 4 arranged next to one another and provided on their two longitudinal sides with mutually arranged overlapping longitudinal ribs 1 and 2, which have a hook 5 and can be fastened to the roof structure 6, for example by means of a screw connection 7 Cold 8 are held. The overlapping longitudinal rib 1 has a trapezoidal head profile 10, which is delimited by a transverse reinforcement bead 9 and which, in the embodiment shown in the exemplary embodiment according to FIGS. 1 to 3, corresponds to the profile cross-sectional shape of the hook 5 of the holder 8. The free edge area 11 of the head profile 10 of the overlapping longitudinal rib 1 is flanged inwards and forms the first Abutment for the free profile leg 12 of the hook 5 of the holder 8. A second abutment for the hook 5 of the holder 8 is formed by the inwardly directed upper transverse wall 16 of the stiffening bead 9, on which the lower profile crosspiece 15 of the hook 5 of the holder 8 rests . The head profile 13 of the longitudinal rib 2 engaging in the profile of the hook 5 of the holder 8 has an essentially square profile cross-sectional shape in the exemplary embodiment shown in FIGS. 1 to 3 and lies with the inward-facing rest 14 of its free edge on the lower profile crosspiece 15 of the Hook 5 of the holder 8. The transition 18 of the flank wall 17 to the head profile 13 of the overlapped longitudinal rib 2 is arched inwards in such a way that the flanged edge region 11 of the overlapping longitudinal rib 1 is arranged to lie completely in it. When installing the roof covering, as can be seen in particular from the illustration in FIG. 3, a first sheet metal sheet 3 is first arranged on the roof structure 6 and the hook 5 of the holder 8 is first hooked into the head profile of the overlapping longitudinal rib 1 and then the holder 8 is pivoted and attached to the roof structure 6 with its foot part by means of the screws 7. The sheet metal sheet 4 to be laid next is then hung over the head profile 13 of its overlapping longitudinal rib 2 in the hook 5 of the holder 8, whereupon the assembly of the next sheet metal sheet begins.
In a departure from the embodiment shown in FIGS. 1 to 3, in the embodiment shown in FIG. 4, the holder 80 together with its hook 50 is designed as a molded part, for example made of die-cast or injection molding.
Likewise deviating from the embodiment shown in Figures 1 to 3 is provided in the embodiment shown in Figure 6 that the head profile 13 of the overlapped longitudinal rib is formed in its upper region 130 to the profile cross-sectional shape of the hook 5 of the holder 8 uniformly trapezoidal.
Deviating from the embodiment shown in FIGS. 1 to 3, the embodiment shown in FIG furthermore, the head profile 131 of the overlapped longitudinal rib 2 has a non-uniform trapezoidal profile cross section.
The embodiment according to FIG. 5 shows a significantly different design in that the hook 55 of the holder 88 has an arcuate cross-sectional shape and this cross-sectional shape of the hook 55 is assigned an essentially triangular cross-sectional shape of the head profile 132 of the overlapped longitudinal rib 2. At the same time, the formation of a second abutment for the hook 55 is also dispensed with here and the flank wall 20 of the overlapping longitudinal rib 1 has a smooth wall. In addition, it is provided in the embodiment that a support web for the sheet web having the overlapped longitudinal rib 2 is formed in one piece with the holder, which in turn is designed as a molded part.
Between the transition 18 between the flank wall 17 and the head profile 13 of the overlapped longitudinal rib 2 and the flanged edge of the inward and the first abutment free edge region 11 of the overlapping longitudinal rib 2 forming sealing means can be arranged, either according to the embodiment of Figure 6 as a labyrinth seal can be designed in that the free edge area is positioned at a flat angle against the arcuate transition 18, or, according to the embodiment according to FIG. 7, can be formed by a sealing profile strip 22 placed on the free inwardly flanged edge area 11 of the overlapping longitudinal rib 1.
