Description

The present invention relates to a novel sanitary cell with a device for automatically cleaning the toilet bowl.

A particular problem with all previously known public sanitary facilities is cleanliness. In addition, in the systems used by many people, it is desirable if cleaning and disinfection can be carried out after each use.

The previously known sanitary facilities are cleaned and disinfected manually after each use. The consequence of this is that cleaning is often carried out only once a day. So far, such systems have been cleaned in such a way that Cleaning or maintenance personnel enter the sanitary cubicle through the same door as the user. This means that cleaning takes place only at irregular intervals. Apart from the resulting unsanitary condition of such manually cleaned systems, their operating costs are more expensive because of the wages incurred by the personnel.

From DE-PS 28 51 036 the automatic cleaning of a toilet bowl is known. Here, after use, it is pivoted from the cabin part into a separate cleaning compartment located behind it and cleaned using a routing brush. The cleaning compartment is not accessible to the user. On the other hand, the cleaning compartment is provided with a separate access for the maintenance personnel. A disadvantage of this system is that the system is not available to the user during cleaning of the toilet bowl. I.e. during cleaning, the user will always have to be patient until the toilet bowl is completely cleaned.

An automatic cleaning device for toilet bowls is known from US Pat. No. 3,919,726, in which these are pressed against a cleaning device so as to be pivotable about an axis. In contrast to DE-PS 28 51 036, there is no pivoting out of the sanitary cabin part into a separate cleaning tract. Here too there is accordingly the problem that the sanitary cell is not available to users during the cleaning process.

Nachteil dieser Anlage ist, daß auch hier die Benutzer warten müssen, bis der Reinigungsvorgang beendet ist.DE-OS 22 63 946 deals with a sanitary facility which consists of at least two sanitary facilities, for example a toilet and a sink, housed in a closed space. The toilet bowl is cleaned by swiveling it underneath the washbasin. Here, liquid with a certain pressure is pressed into the toilet bowl via spray heads and cleaned in this way. The disadvantage of this system is that here, too, users have to wait until the cleaning process has ended.

A completely different system is the device described in European patent application 0035471. It is a toilet system, in which two bowls are provided within a housing, which are attached to an inclined shaft. The toilet bowls attached to this mirror image can be swiveled around this shaft. The result is that the bowl, which is initially at the top, lies below after the rotation in order to be subjected to cleaning there.

However, the bowls used in European patent application EP-A-0035471 are not commercially available, but rather specially adapted bowls. When viewed from the side, these have a triangular shape. After pivoting, the opening of the lower bowl is thus not in the horizontal plane, ie pointing downwards, but in the vertical plane, ie pointing to the side. However, optimal cleaning cannot be achieved in this position.

Hier muß also ggf. manuell nachgereinigt werden. In addition, the opening of the drain pipe does not rotate in the cleaning tract, so that cleaning never takes place here. So you may have to clean it manually. The result is that the sanitary room is closed to visitors during the post-cleaning phase.

The same applies to various other parts of the toilet system that are not subjected to automatic cleaning. These include in particular the lid, the outer casing of the housing, the floor of the sanitary room and the wall to which the toilet bowls are attached.

In addition, the movable side walls, which adjoin the housing of the toilet roll or the housing of the siphon, are also susceptible to contamination. These adjoining surfaces run the risk of dirt particles getting stuck there and leading to unsanitary conditions.

It should also be noted that, in contrast to the present invention, the control and regulating devices are housed in the closed space. These parts are therefore just like the cleaning room with the nozzles fully monitored by staff during ongoing operations. Instead, the sanitary room must always be closed to visitors and the housing opened. Routine visual monitoring or even manual cleaning after operation of the system is therefore not possible without interrupting visitor traffic.

Finally, from the European patent application EP-A-0 199 682 a sanitary cell is known which consists of a sanitary room with sanitary facilities and a technical room. The partition between these two rooms consists of an immovable and movable part. On the movable part, two toilet bowls are attached, which are mounted opposite one another with their backs like mirrors. The movable part is rotatable about a vertical axis, so that it is possible to rotate each toilet bowl from the user position to a cleaning position in the equipment room. The disadvantage of the aforementioned systems is accordingly avoided in this system. that the sanitary room is not accessible to users during the cleaning process. Because while a toilet bowl is being cleaned in the technical room, there is a cleaned one in the user room.

However, the system according to EP-A-0 199 682 still has some disadvantages. One is that by swiveling around a vertical axis, it is necessary to create sanitary cells that are sufficiently wide. This means that with the usual installation of several sanitary cells next to each other, the space requirement is greater than with conventional systems. In addition, the automatic cleaning of the upright toilet bowl is associated with the risk of insufficient cleaning. Because on the one hand, water can only be sprayed into the toilet bowl to a limited extent, because the flow capacity of the drain pipe underneath is only limited. For this reason, the automatic system must be set to a longer cleaning time for adequate cleaning. In addition, adequate cleaning of the lower regions of the toilet bowl, especially at the beginning of the outflow pipe, can be carried out in which is constantly water, with the help of spray water. Rather, it is necessary to also use mechanical aids such as brushes. For this reason, it has been found that such systems with upright toilet bowls cannot be satisfactorily cleaned during cleaning in automatic systems.

The object of the present invention is accordingly a sanitary cell consisting of a sanitary room accessible through a door with a toilet bowl and a wall rotating about a pivot axis, which separate the sanitary room and a technical room in which the facilities required for cleaning the toilet bowls are located separates and carries a toilet bowl arranged on each side, and a total of at least two technical rooms, the bowl located in the sanitary room being arranged so that it faces upwards with its opening, so that the disadvantages of the state described above technology no longer occur.

This object is achieved in that a further technical room is arranged below the floor of the sanitary room, the pivot axis is mounted horizontally, the toilet bowl located in the technical room is arranged so that it faces downwards with its opening, and the floors of the sanitary and technical room are provided with openings at least in the area below the toilet bowls, so that the toilet bowls can be pivoted from the technical room through the technical room below the sanitary cell into the sanitary room.

The present invention thus relates to a sanitary cell which consists of a sanitary room accessible through a door and a wall which rotates about a swivel axis and which separates the sanitary room and an adjacent technical room from one another.

The equipment required for cleaning the toilet bowls is housed in the technical room. The rotatable wall carries a toilet bowl on each side, the bowl located in the sanitary room pointing upwards with its opening, while the bowl located in the technical room has its opening facing downwards. The wall on which the two bowls are attached is arranged on a horizontally mounted axis.

There is a second technical room below the sanitary cell and the technical room. When the bowls are swiveled, they pass through this technical room into the room next to the sanitary room. So that this swiveling movement can be carried out, the floor of the sanitary room is provided with hinged openings. The compilation of the named individual elements of the device according to the invention results in a system which has decisive advantages over the prior art. It is no longer necessary to equip the device with specially made toilet bowls. Rather, commercially available bowls can also be used without any problems. Furthermore, it is only possible with the system according to the invention to achieve an automatic overall cleaning of the toilet bowl from the inside and outside, the floor of the sanitary room, the toilet lid, the outside of the supply and discharge lines and the wall to which the toilet bowl is attached. In this way, an optimal degree of purity can be achieved without having to block the sanitary cells for the user.

The same applies to the control and regulation devices. These are housed in the technical room, which is accessible to the staff at all times, ie the necessary maintenance and monitoring activities can be carried out on the technical peripheral equipment during operation. In addition, the personnel can check at any time by visual inspection whether the cleaning facilities are actually working satisfactorily. Possibly. manual cleaning can even be carried out in the technical room.

Another crucial advantage is the horizontal position of the opening of the toilet bowl located in the technical room and pointing downwards. Because here a complete cleaning and disinfection of dirt can be achieved.

If commercially available, vertically downward drain pipes are used, these can also be optimally cleaned by means of the system according to the invention.

The invention is described in more detail below with reference to the figures.
Figure 1
shows the device according to the invention in supervision.
Figure 2
shows the plant in side view.

The sanitary cell consists of a sanitary room 1, in which the toilet bowl is located in the illustration according to FIG. This toilet bowl is attached to the wall 3, on the back of which the toilet bowl 6 is located. The sanitary room accessible to the user and the technical room are separated from one another by the wall 3. The fittings required for cleaning the toilet bowl are housed in the technical room.

Overall, the system consists of at least two technical rooms 4 and 9. The technical room 9 is arranged below the sanitary cell, while the technical room 4 is located on the same level as the sanitary room.

However, more than two technical rooms can also be provided. For example, there can be three technical rooms, two of which can be arranged to the side of the sanitary room and another one below the sanitary room. Here, the second additional technical room can contain additional devices in its partition to the sanitary room. For example, Attach an integrated hand wash basin here, which is connected to the sanitary room through an opening in the wall. A light barrier can be installed in this opening so that the water inlet is opened as soon as the user puts his hands through the opening. As soon as the user has withdrawn his hands into the sanitary room 1, the light barrier and water inlet close again.

Another possibility is that the partition of the second additional technical room contains an opening in which, for example, a dispenser for toilet rolls is attached. In this case too, the staff can refill the toilet rolls from the technical room.

In the system shown in FIGS. 1 and 2, however, the device consists of only two technical rooms 4 and 9 and the sanitary room 1. The special feature of this system is that the openings in the toilet bowls 5 and 6 point in opposite directions. I.e. in the example according to FIG. 2, the opening 12 of the toilet bowl 5 points upwards, while the opening 11 of the toilet bowl 6 is directed downwards. Here, the system is aligned so that the toilet bowl located in the sanitary room 1 has its opening upward. The toilet bowl located in the rear technical room also points downwards accordingly.

In the examples according to FIGS. 1 and 2, the toilet bowl is in a user function, ie with the opening 12 directed upwards. At the same time the toilet bowl 6 can be cleaned with its opening 11 facing downwards. As soon as the cleaning process is complete and cleaning of the toilet bowl 5 becomes necessary, the wall 3 with the toilet bowls 5 and 6 is pivoted about its vertical axis 2. After the pivoting process, the toilet bowl 6 is located in the sanitary room with the opening 11 facing upwards, while the toilet bowl 5 is arranged in the technical room with the opening 12 facing downwards.

In the example according to the invention according to FIG. 2, the toilet bowl is pivoted from the technical room 4 through the technical room 9 into the sanitary room 1. Of course, a pivoting in the opposite direction is also constructively possible. However, this would have the disadvantage that the dirty toilet bowl coming from the sanitary room would tip down in the technical room 9 with the opening 12 downward, with the result that the dirt parts located in the toilet bowl would fall onto the floor of the technical room 9. For this reason, additional cleaning devices would have to be provided in the technical room 9 in such a structural configuration.

-tropfen.Another possibility is that a closure cap is provided in the toilet bowl or the drain pipe, which prevents residues of faeces from falling out or dripping when swiveled.

A drain pipe designed in the usual way can be provided for the discharge of the faeces. This means that downward-facing pipes can be provided. These can be connected to pipes arranged in the wall 3.

Another possibility is to arrange a horizontal line in the swivel axis, through which the faeces are sucked off by applying a vacuum. This construction has the advantage that odor nuisances are largely excluded.

In order to be able to pivot the toilet bowl from the technical room 4 through the technical room 9 into the sanitary room 1, the floor of the technical room 4 is provided with an opening. The same applies to the sanitary room, which is provided below the toilet bowl 5 with a movable flap 14. By pivoting this flap 14 down about the horizontal axis 15 on the floor 10, the opening 13 is created through which the toilet bowls 5 and 6 can be pivoted.

In Figure 4, the bottom 16 can be pivoted down in its entirety. Here, the floor 16 is fastened to the wall 17 by means of a hinge 18, so that the entire floor in the area of the rotating wall 3 is folded down and an inclined plane is formed. During the swiveling process, the floor is then rinsed with high-pressure lamps, which are located above the hinges, and then dried if necessary.

Of course, other design options are also conceivable here. In particular, the opening 13 can also be closed by other mechanisms. However, it is also possible to design the entire floor 10 as a movable element and to pivot it overall.

On the floor of the technical room 4, it is possible to do without a locking device, since this room is only entered by maintenance personnel. Of course, any locking devices can also be provided here.

In the technical room 4 there are the jet arms 7 and 8. These can be given away so that the wall 3 and the toilet bowls 5 and 6 attached to them can be cleaned with water under high pressure and then dried with an air stream. Characterized in that the toilet bowl 6 located in the technical room is directed with its opening 11 downwards, the possibility is opened without any additional mechanical cleaning device, for example brushes. The masses of water sprayed into the toilet bowl under high pressure can have a cleaning effect down to the deepest regions of the toilet bowl, because no water can be found in the lower part of the toilet bowl due to the reverse position. This means that the effect of the jet is not hindered by the water that is normally at the drain.

In addition, the cleaning can be done in a shorter time because the water no longer has to drain through the drain pipe, but can drain through the wide downward opening 11 and the congestion effect otherwise occurring through the narrowing drain pipe cannot occur for the draining water.

If desired, additional cleaning devices can be accommodated in the technical room 9 below the floor 10. For example, the flap 14 pivoted downward can be cleaned with nozzle arms or other mechanical devices. If the floor 10 can be swung out as a whole, the floor can be subjected to cleaning as a whole. The devices, which may possibly be accommodated in the technical room 9, are not shown in the drawing.
