Description
The invention relates to a transport and / or storage container which has a rectangular or square outline with rounded corners, with an inner container which is molded from plastic by means of blow molding, and with an outer container which has an outer container jacket and an outer container bottom, wherein the outer container jacket consists of circumferential and vertical round steel rods which are welded to one another, the vertical round steel rods being connected at their lower and upper ends to an end frame made of round steel welded to the outside of the container jacket.
Transport and / or storage containers of the structure described above are known in various embodiments. In the embodiment from which the invention is based (DE-A-90 00 453), the outer container bottom is designed as a wooden pallet. Pallet designates the known facilities for the modern handling of goods with the help of forklifts u. Like., The pallet receives the goods and allows the retraction of the arms of a forklift or the like. In the known transport and / or storage container, the outer container shell is connected to the pallet and the inner container is inserted into the outer container shell. The known transport and / or storage containers of the construction described above with wooden pallets have proven themselves. The secure attachment of the outer container shell to the outer pallet so that considerable transport stresses are absorbed, however, is complex and has to be carried out largely manually. In the case of stresses beyond design the transport and / or storage container, e.g. B. if the transport and / or storage container falls from a hoist, the wooden pallet breaks. In another embodiment (EP-A-0 367 946), the outer container base is also formed from round steel rods which are bent off from the vertical round steel rods of the outer container shell. The outer container jacket and the outer container base thus advantageously form a single component. Pallet feet made of round steel bars are molded or welded on as additional components. With a transport and / or storage container constructed in this way, the outer container, including the outer container base, is more durable with respect to stresses beyond the design than in the embodiment with a wooden pallet. This known embodiment is therefore characterized by a long service life. However, there is room for improvement in the fatigue strength against stresses that can arise from unavoidable vibrations during long-distance transport.
The invention has for its object to provide a transport and / or storage container, which is characterized by long life and great fatigue strength, but is nevertheless simple and largely automatic to manufacture.
To achieve this object, the object of the invention is a transport and / or storage container, which has a rectangular or square plan with rounded corners, - with an inner container, which is formed by blow molding from plastic, and with an outer container, the outer container shell and has an outer container bottom, wherein the outer container jacket circumferential and vertical round steel bars are welded to each other, and the vertical round steel bars are connected with their lower and upper ends to a tank frame outer side welded end frame made of round steel, and wherein the outer container bottom is designed as a steel plate pallet with an upper steel plate plate, the upper steel plate plate in cross section lying U-shaped bends that surround the lower end frame from the outside. The upper sheet steel plate expediently has the bends on at least two opposite sides. According to a preferred embodiment, the upper sheet steel plate is provided with the bends on two opposite sides and on an end face connecting these sides. As will be explained further below, production becomes particularly simple if the upper steel sheet plate has covering tongues on the non-bending side or on the non-bending sides, which cover the lower end frame from the inside.
In the case of the transport and / or storage container according to the invention, pallet feet made of sheet steel are generally welded downward to the upper steel sheet plate, leaving the insertion paths for forklift arms between them. The pallet feet can be connected to a lower sheet steel plate or to sheet steel blanks. In the area of the corners of the pallets, the rounding corresponding sheet metal parts bent or welded on by one of the sheet metal plates can be arranged, which have a stabilizing effect and increase the structural strength. So that the transport and / or storage containers according to the invention, if they are geometrically identical, can in turn be stacked, An embodiment is recommended in which the sheet steel pallet has a lower shoulder which, when the transport and / or storage containers are stacked, surrounds the upper end frame of the outer container shell with the welded-on vertical round steel rods. The sheet steel plate, like the bottom of the inner container, can be designed to promote leakage, so that a liquid filled into the inner container flows to the outlet, which is located in the deepest part in the area of the inner container bottom. This can spring open with increasing emptying, which improves and supports the leakage.
The invention first makes use of the fact that steel sheet pallets, which are known per se and in another embodiment, have a longer service life than wooden pallets. The invention is also based on the knowledge that the container outer jacket can be connected to such a sheet steel pallet without the risk of the formation of joints at risk of breakage if the sheet steel pallet has an upper sheet steel plate which, as described, is provided with U-shaped bends lying in cross section, which enclose the lower end frame from the outside. In this way, welding connections that are often at risk of fatigue failure are avoided. This does not preclude additionally performing, as it were, secure weld connections between the outer container jacket and the sheet steel pallet.
A particularly high fatigue strength is achieved if the steel sheet pallet is designed to be low-vibration. This means that the sheet steel pallet is designed in compliance with the laws of vibration theory so that in the frequency range in which the transport and / or Storage container experiences vibrations during transport, there are no natural vibrations. The steel sheet pallet is expediently designed so that the natural vibrations are shifted in the area of extremely high frequencies. For this purpose, at least the upper steel sheet plate of the steel sheet pallet can have anti-vibration stiffening profiles. According to a preferred embodiment, the anti-vibration stiffening profiles are circumferential and diagonally arranged. Vibration-inhibiting means in the context of the invention that natural vibrations in the low frequency range are suppressed.
A transport and / or storage container according to the invention can be produced in a very simple manner. In this context, the invention relates to a method for producing the outer container for a transport and / or storage container, the outer container shell and the steel sheet pallet being produced independently of one another, specifically the steel sheet pallet with integrally formed, cross-sectionally U-shaped bends on at least two opposite sides and cover tongues, wherein the outer container casing is inserted with two opposite sides of the lower end frame into the opposite, cross-sectionally U-shaped bends of the steel sheet pallet, and the cover tongues are then bent over the lower end frame. The sheet steel pallet is preferably provided on three sides of the upper sheet steel plate with the U-shaped bends lying in cross section, and the lower end frame is inserted into these bends with two opposite sides and one end face. - Both the separately manufactured outer container casing and the sheet steel pallet can largely be manufactured automatically become. But also the connection through the described pushing together can be realized largely automatically in a simple manner and if necessary.
