Abstract

The central connector rod (12), in particular for metallic heald shafts, passes through the upper heald shaft (10) and is anchored at its upper end to the upper heald shaft rod (10) in such a manner that it can be unscrewed from the lower heald shaft rod (11) by a tool which can be placed on it from above without fastening parts having to be moved out of the plane of the heald shaft during unscrewing. The central connector rod (12) has a stop collar (19) which can be held against the upper heald shaft (10) or against a stop plate (20) secured to the upper heald shaft (20) by means of a covering cap (26). The diameter of the stop collar (19) is not greater than the thickness of the upper heald shaft rod (10).

Description

The invention relates to a center connector for metallic weaving shafts in particular, comprising a round rod (12) which can be anchored to a lower shaft rod (11) with a lower end and a thread (13) and which is anchored by an upper shaft rod (10). passed and provided on the upper longitudinal side of the upper shaft rod (10) with a fixedly connected stop collar (19) and is also releasably anchored, and in which the upper end (18) of the round rod (12) is designed for the attachment of a screwdriver or socket wrench and the stop collar (19) has a diameter which corresponds at most to the thickness (D) of the upper shaft rod (10).

A center connector with the above-mentioned features for weaving shops is known from CH-A-371 413. However, the known center connector has the disadvantage that, in addition to a threaded rod which extends between the upper and lower shaft rods, it requires a spacer body which determines the desired distance between the two shaft rods. The spacer is designed as a sleeve which is pushed over the threaded round rod, which results in a relatively wide central connector. Another major disadvantage is that the upper end of the round bar is exposed and remains unsecured against twisting, so that unintentionally loosening of the center connector can occur during operation of the weaving frame.

The invention has for its object to provide a center connector so that it can be inserted or removed easily in a built-in heald frame and which cannot be unintentionally detached in the inserted state.

The object is achieved with a central connector of the type mentioned in the invention by the features of the characterizing part of the main claim.

Securing the upper end of an interchangeable center connector by means of a cap is known per se in a construction which, however, does not permit loosening of the center connector in the built-in heald frame because of an inconvenient dimensioning of the stop collar. In the case of the center connector designed according to the invention, the cap on the one hand achieves the abutment collar contact, which is important for an accurate spacing of the upper heald frame from the lower heald frame, and on the other hand access to the upper end of the center connector rod is prevented. If the middle connector rod is to be removed, the cap is first removed after loosening the tensioning screws, then the middle connector rod is unscrewed at its released upper end from the lower shaft rod and finally removed upwards through the upper shaft rod. Both the loosening of the tensioning screws and the unscrewing of the central connector rod can be effected either by means of a screwdriver directed from above against the narrow upper longitudinal side of the upper shaft rod or by a socket wrench which can also be attached from above, both of which are not hindered by adjacent weaving shafts. The middle connector rod is reinstalled in the reverse order. Advantageously, the upper heald frame at the passage point for the center connector rod can be provided on its upper longitudinal side with a stop plate for the stop collar which has a through hole for the center connector rod and which has through-threaded holes for the tensioning screws of the cover cap. Such a stop plate can ensure a more stable anchoring of the tensioning screws than, for example, the wall of a shaft rod in the form of a light metal hollow profile rod.

An exemplary embodiment of a center connector designed according to the invention is explained in more detail below with reference to the accompanying drawing.

The drawing shows a light metal heald frame for healds, not shown. The upper shaft rod 10 and the lower shaft rod 11 of the heald frame are designed as hollow-chamber profile rods, the cross section of which can be seen in FIG. 2. The central connector consists of a round rod 12 which is provided with an external thread 13 at one and its lower end. With this thread 13, the assembled center connector rod 12 is screwed into an anchor plate 15 placed on an inner longitudinal side 11.1 of the lower shaft rod 11 and provided with a through-threaded bore 14 until it abuts against the shaft longitudinal side 11.1. The anchor plate 15 is anchored by means of screws 16 in a web-like counter-holder 17 which is inserted into a longitudinal groove 11.2 of the lower shaft rod 11 having undercut edges.

At its upper end 18, the central connector rod 12 is shaped into a square for the attachment of a socket wrench. At a short distance from its upper end 18, a stop collar 19 is attached to the central connector rod 12, the diameter of which is smaller than the thickness D of the upper shaft rod 10. The upper shaft rod 10 is in its Provide profile walls with aligned through bores, not shown in the drawing, which allow the central connector rod 12 to be passed through the upper shaft rod 10 as shown in FIG. 2. On the upper longitudinal side 10.1 of the upper shaft rod 10, an elongated stop plate 20 is placed, which are anchored in abutment webs 22, which are inserted into a nit undercut edges provided upper longitudinal groove 23 of the upper shaft rod 10. In addition to a central through hole for the central connector rod, the stop plate 20 has two threaded through holes 24 which serve to anchor two cap screws 25. The cap screws 25 have a square head 25.1 for the attachment of a socket wrench and protrude through through holes in a cover cap 26. The cover cap 26 also has a central through hole for receiving the upper end 18 of the central connector rod 12. This through hole is widened to a recess into which the stop collar 19 of the central connector rod 12 fits, as can be seen from the cut part of FIG. 1.

The cover cap 26 covers the upper end 18 of the central connector rod 12 and secures it against the attachment of a socket wrench. The cover cap 26 is pulled firmly against the stop plate 20 by the cap screws 25, whereby a tight contact of the stop collar 19 against the stop plate 20 and thus also a more precisely predetermined mutual distance between the two shaft rods 10 and 11 is ensured. The center connector rod 12 is screwed with its lower thread end 13 into the anchor plate 15 until it stops against the lower shaft rod 11.

If the middle connector rod 12 is to be removed for the attachment of a warp threading machine, the two cap screws 25 are first loosened and the top cap 26 is lifted off. Subsequently, a socket wrench can be attached to the upper end 18 of the central connector rod 12 and the central connector rod 12 can be unscrewed with its lower threaded end 13 from the anchor plate 15 and then pulled upwards through the upper shaft rod 10. The middle connector rod 12 is reinstalled in the reverse order.
