Abstract

The invention relates to a lighting fixture with reflecting optics, consisting of a housing which can be sealed by a glass element and in which a lamp with a linear light source in a cylindrical glass bulb and reflectors are accommodated. It is the object of the present invention to create special reflecting optics for a cycle track illuminating system having an extremely widely radiating light distribution and capable of illuminating the cycle tracks with very good uniformity by means of low-power lamps. The lighting fixture according to the invention is characterised by the combination of the following features: a reflector shaped like a gable roof is arranged above the lamp. The ridge line of the roof-shaped reflector is directed downwards and runs parallel to the linear light source at a short distance from the glass bulb thereof. Arranged parallel to the linear light source are two concave reflectors whose edge facing the housing roof runs at a short distance from the lines of the eaves of the roof-shaped reflector. The reflecting surface of the concave reflectors is satin-frosted. Arranged perpendicular to the linear light source are two planar reflectors whose outer corners are bent slightly inwards, and the reflectors surrounding the roof-shaped reflector are tilted slightly outwards. The glass member sealing the housing consists of a clear, smooth glass.

Description

The invention relates to a luminaire with mirror optics, consisting of a housing which can be closed with a glass body which serves as a light outlet and in which a lamp with a linear light source is accommodated in an essentially cylindrical glass bulb and reflectors.

Luminaires of this type have become known in a wide variety of embodiments in accordance with a wide variety of uses. Due to the arrangement and design of the reflectors inside the lamp housing and their assignment to the lamp, the illuminated area under the lamp can be varied. In general, it is desired that a rectangular area be illuminated as evenly as possible under the lamp in order to direct the luminous flux as evenly as possible onto the usable area. Rectangular surface lighting of this type is desired not only in rooms, but above all on streets. They can only be realized more or less in such a way that they meet the requirements because the illuminance naturally increases the closer the illuminated location is to the luminaire.

As lamps are preferred in road traffic High pressure sodium vapor lamps are used, here the ratio of mounting height to mounting distance is 1: 3 to 1: 5. On roads, there is usually the option of realizing a relatively high mounting point.

A luminaire known from DE 37 10 241 has a linear light source in the form of a sodium vapor lamp with a cylindrical bulb which is coaxially enveloped by a partially cylindrical refector at approximately 240 °.

Another known lamp for illuminating streets and squares has become known from DE 81 38 119 U1. It consists of a housing that can be closed with a glass body, in which a high-pressure sodium lamp and reflectors are housed. The high pressure sodium vapor lamp has a coated ellipsoidal glass bulb. A flat, diffusely reflecting white plate is arranged between the roof of the housing and the lamp, which is surrounded by four inclined reflectors, of which two elongated reflectors are concave mirrors. All reflectors in this lamp have a high quality mirrored, completely smooth surface. The possibilities for achieving good uniformity in the illumination of the usable areas are limited.

The lighting of cycle paths is particularly problematic because they are much narrower than streets For reasons of cost, the number of luminaires is usually smaller and because - bike paths often run under trees - the light point height is lower than for roads. Luminaires are required for cycle paths that provide a narrow, wide light band of high uniformity from a low mounting point height. These are requirements that cannot be met with previous luminaires. Most of the time, the light strips are much wider than required, the light point distances are too short, and the uniformity of the illumination is insufficient. The same problem arises when lighting fences and other elongated narrow objects.

The invention avoids the disadvantages of the prior art. It is the object of the present invention to create a special mirror optic for the illumination of cycle paths, fences and similar narrow objects with extremely wide light distribution, which can illuminate the cycle paths and other objects with lamps of low power at a low mounting height with very good uniformity.

The lamp according to the invention is characterized by the combination of the following features:
  • 1.1 a gable roof-shaped reflector is arranged above the lamp,
  • 1.2. The gable roof-shaped reflector consists of two flat reflecting surfaces and has a ridge line,
  • 1.3. The ridge line of the roof-shaped reflector runs parallel to the linear light source,
  • 1.4. The ridge line of the roof-shaped reflector faces the lamp and the eaves lines of the roof-shaped reflector face the roof of the housing,
  • 1.5. The ridge line pointing downwards is at a short distance from the glass bulb of the lamp,
  • 2.1 the glass bulb of the lamp is crystal clear
  • 2.2. Of the housing (1) closing glass or plastic body (9) consists of a clear smooth glass or plastic
  • 3.1. Two concave reflectors (shell mirror 13) are arranged parallel to the linear light source,
  • 3.2. Whose edge facing the housing roof runs at a short distance from the eaves lines of the roof-shaped reflector
  • 3.3. The reflective surface of the concave reflectors is semi-gloss
  • 4. two flat reflectors are arranged perpendicular to the linear light source (20),
  • 5. the reflectors surrounding the gable roof-shaped reflector are slightly inclined outwards,
This luminaire is ideally suited as a cycle path luminaire because it delivers a very narrow, elongated light beam of high uniformity even at a low mounting point height. This means that a 50 watt high pressure sodium lamp can be used to create an approximately 3 m narrow light band of 44 m length with a light spot height of 5 m, with the illuminance not falling below 1 lux at all points of this light strip.

The generation of this narrow band of light at a low light spot height is due to the fact that the gable roof reflector reflects the light reflected by it onto the concave mirrors, which then spread the light widely in a narrow band, which is supported by the surface properties of the mirrors.

When equipped with a 70 W-T high-pressure sodium vapor lamp, with a light point height of 6 m and based on a minimum value of horizontal illuminance of 1 lux, luminaire spacings of up to 50 m are possible.

It is important that the luminaires receive a clear, smooth light emission in the form of a transparent trough-shaped body, because the extreme wide radiation and the glare limitation can be easily maintained.

But this extremely wide beam light is not only suitable for cycle path lighting, it can also be used for fence lighting, platform lighting, footpath lighting, lighting of narrow bridges and for many other purposes.

The glass body serving as a light outlet and closing the housing downward need not necessarily be made of glass, it can also be made of a crystal-clear, smooth plastic.

It is useful if the concave reflectors have a radius of 218 mm ± 20 mm.

Furthermore, it is expedient if the plane of the roof-shaped reflector enclose an angle of 135 ° + 15 °.

It has proven to be expedient if the front reflectors surrounding the roof-shaped reflector have an inclination angle of 105 ° ± 15 °.

aufweisen.
The reflectance of the reflectors is of particular importance for the lighting characteristics of this lamp. This is expediently chosen so that the roof-shaped reflector has the degree of reflection diffuse 14% ± 5% total 87% ± 5%
and the concave reflectors the reflectance diffuse 82% ± 5% total 86% ± 5%
exhibit.

The luminous efficacy and the uniform illumination can still be improved in that the outer corners of the perpendicular to the linear light source are arranged flat reflectors are slightly bent inwards.

In the housing 1, which is fastened to a mast 3 with a fastening device 2, electrical components 5 for the ignition and operation of the lamp 6 are accommodated on the one hand in a separate VG room 4. The reflector system 7, into which the lamp holder 8 projects, is also accommodated in the housing 1. On the side to which the lamp emits, the housing 1 is closed by a lamp glass 9. It is important that this lamp glass, which is trough-shaped, is made of a clear, smooth glass or plastic.

The reflector system is mounted on a base plate 10, on which a holder 11 for the lamp holder 8 is arranged. The base plate 10 carries on the one hand a gable roof-shaped reflector 12, two concave shell mirrors 13 directed towards one another and two end face mirrors 14, one of which has a passage opening 15 for the lamp holder 8. The end face mirrors 14 are bent in their corner regions 16 towards the center of the reflector system, so that an almost closed mirror system results.

The gable roof-shaped reflector 12 consists of two flat surfaces which are at an obtuse angle to one another and enclose a ridge between them. The ridge faces the lamp 6, the eaves face the roof of the housing 1.

The end face mirrors are inclined at an angle of approximately 105 °, while the angle of inclination of the shell mirrors on the base plate is approximately 135 ° and then decreases to approximately 90 °. The gable roof-shaped reflector has a roof angle of approximately 135 ° (measured under the ridge line 17).

The lamp 6 has a cylindrical bulb made of crystal-clear glass. Immediately next to the bulb of the lamp 6 and parallel to the longitudinal axis of the lamp 6 is the downward ridge line 17 of the roof-shaped reflector 12. This is a basic condition for achieving the effect according to the invention.

Another condition is that the bucket mirror 13 are made of semi-gloss, while the roof-shaped reflector 12 has a high-gloss mirroring.

The base plate 10 is connected to the housing 1 of the lamp by means of fastening elements 18.

It is important to achieve the effects according to the invention that the lamp 6 has in its lamp bulb 19 a line-shaped light source 20 in the form of a line-shaped burner which is arranged parallel to the ridge line 17 of the gable roof-shaped reflector 12.

The outer edges 21 of the saddle roof-shaped reflector 12 facing the cup mirror 13 are rounded in a curved manner in order to be able to bear directly against the cup-shaped reflectors 13.
