Definitions

  • the invention is based on a rod-shaped multi-area radiator according to the preamble of claim 1.
  • Such a multi-range radiator is known (US-A-4 145 693) which is suitable for three different frequency bands within 3 to 30 MHz.
  • the frequency bands must be in a ratio of 1: 2: 4, starting from the lowest frequency band.
  • Average operating frequencies of 3.5 MHz, 7 MHz and 14 MHz are mentioned as an example.
  • document US-A-4 675 687 discloses a multi-range rod-shaped radiator which operates in the AM, FM and telephone (i.e. around 835 MHz) frequency ranges.
  • the invention has for its object to develop the known multi-range radiator such that it is broadband and can be used for four different frequency bands, namely preferably for a first, highest frequency band of, for example, 825 to 960 MHz (AMPS network or D network the German Bundespost), for a second, second highest frequency band of, for example, 450 to 470 MHz (C network of the Deutsche Bundespost), for a third, second lowest frequency band of, for example, 75 to 115 MHz (FM radio range) and a fourth, lowest Frequency band from, for example, 150 kHz to about 6 MHz (AM radio range).
  • AMPS network or D network the German Bundespost for a second, second highest frequency band of, for example, 450 to 470 MHz
  • C network of the Deutsche Bundespost for a third, second lowest frequency band of, for example, 75 to 115 MHz (FM radio range)
  • FM radio range for example, 75 to 115 MHz
  • AM radio range a fourth, lowest Frequency band from, for example, 150 kHz
  • the multi-range radiator according to the invention has the advantage that a broadband multi-range antenna for four frequency ranges can be realized with little technical effort. Without the use of a discrete capacitor, the first coil forms a parallel resonance circuit which de-energizes part of the radiator and thus causes different frequency bands to be separated.
  • the rod-shaped multi-range radiator according to the invention is particularly suitable as a vehicle antenna to which a car radio for the AM and FM range and a radio telephone which can be switched over to two different systems are connected.
  • the figure shows a view of a rod-shaped multi-area radiator 10 with an insulating rod 11, which, seen from the base point 12 or from a reference plane 13 lying at ground potential, a first, straight wire section 14, a first coil 15 connected to it, a second one connected to it Wire section 16, a second coil 17 connected thereto and an adjoining third, straight wire section 18 carries.
  • the straight wire sections 14, 16, 18 lie on a common axis parallel to the longitudinal symmetry axis of the insulating material rod 11 on the outside of the rod.
  • the wire sections 14, 16, 18 and the coils 15, 17 preferably consist of a single piece of wire 20 which is fastened, for example by an adhesive connection, to the insulating rod 11.
  • the complete piece of wire 20 can preferably be prefabricated, dipped in an adhesive and placed on the insulating rod. After the adhesive has hardened, the wire piece 20 is firmly seated on the insulating rod, which is preferably a glass fiber rod.
  • the piece of wire 20 is dimensioned as follows, for example.
  • the length l1 of the first, straight wire section 14 is ⁇ 1 4th , where ⁇ 1 is the average operating wavelength of the highest frequency band, for example 825 to 960 MHz.
  • the first coil 15 is dimensioned such that its inductive and capacitive component forms a parallel circuit or a blocking circuit which is tuned to the average operating wavelength ⁇ 1.
  • the second coil 17 is used for phase rotation. At the average operating wavelength ⁇ 2, it produces a phase shift of, for example, 135 °.
  • the second coil 17 has a plurality of turns wound at a distance.
  • the piece of wire preferably consists of enamelled copper wire.
  • the rod-shaped multi-area radiator 10 shown in the figure is surrounded by an insulating material layer which has been omitted in the figure for the sake of clarity, for example an insulating material shrink tube or a thin insulating material layer produced by dipping.
  • an insulating material layer which has been omitted in the figure for the sake of clarity, for example an insulating material shrink tube or a thin insulating material layer produced by dipping.
  • the first wire section 14 forms one ⁇ 1 4th Emitter for the highest frequency band.
  • the ⁇ 3 4th -Active effect that is tuned to the FM range and has satisfactory properties even in the lowest frequency band, for example the AM frequency band.
