Claims (2)
- Joining piece designed to secure the ends of the wooden slats belonging to a slatted bed base, this joining piece being formed by a housing (1) open on one of its sides and having, for the remainder, a top face (4), a base (3) and three lateral faces (5) whose dimensions define those of the end of the slat (2) to be gripped, and on the inside of the joining piece there being provided at least one hook (6) on the inner face of one of the sides of the housing (1) and having a longitudinal section such that the hook (6) is able to snap into a recess (7) at the end of the slat (2), provided for this purpose, when this end is pushed into the joining piece, characterised in that at least one protuberance (8), with an enlarged head, projects beneath the base (3), which can be pushed tightly into a corresponding passage provided in a supporting profiled member perforated for this purpose, a protuberance (8) which has, in the longitudinal direction, a radial opening (10) which is distant from the free end of the protuberance (8), in order to preserve the integrity of this free end of the protuberance and which allows sufficient compression of the protuberance when the latter is pushed tightly into the perforated supporting profiled member.
