Um den durchnäßten Teppich nach dem Waschvorgang auf die Schleuderwalze aufrollen zu können, ist es nicht notwendig, diesen Teppich auf die Oberseite der Schleuderwalze anheben zu müssen. Vielmehr kann der Teppichträger beispielsweise bei entsprechender Drehposition der Schleuderwalze zunächst auch an den in dieser Position unteren Bereich des Walzenumfanges befestigt werden, um ihn anschließend mitsamt dem auf ihm liegenden Teppich durch eine Drehbewegung der Schleuderwalze gegenüber dem Schleudergehäuse auf den Walzenumfang aufzuwickeln.
