Abstract

The invention relates to a cabinet (1) for the display of goods, having a cooling device (2), a transparent front panel (3) and goods trays (5) for presenting cooled, fresh food, in particular meat, sausage, fish, cheese or the like. One or more flat or trough-type goods trays (5) are provided which are arranged inclined obliquely downwards relative to the transparent front panel (3) and have on the rear side a projecting mirror (7), in which the goods displayed are visibly reflected for the customers. The goods trays (5) are arranged in at least two layers (14, 15) one above the other and preferably in steps. In this case, the upper goods tray (5) adjoins in each case with its front edge (13) the upper edge of the mirror (7) of the lower goods tray (5). A continuous, large-area presentation image of the goods displayed thus results. <IMAGE>

Description

The invention relates to a display cabinet with the features in the preamble of the main claim.

Such showcases are known in practice as so-called meat showcases. They consist of a closed housing with a transparent front pane, which is usually designed as a door, and have a cooling device for keeping the food laid out fresh. Such a store cabinet has a double function, namely to shield the food from the environment, to cool it and to keep it fresh. On the other hand, they should be presented in a sales-friendly manner and laid out visibly, despite their storage in the showcase. In the known meat display cabinets, cross bars are present as goods carriers, on which hooks with pieces of meat hang. Otherwise, pieces of meat or sausages are also placed on the horizontal cabinet floor. With this division, the pieces presented partially obscure each other and are not completely visible to the buyer. The room layout is also unfavorable, as it offers relatively small presentation and viewing areas.

It is an object of the present invention to show a cabinet with better presentation options.

The invention solves this problem with the features in the main claim.

The product display cabinet according to the invention offers the customer a large visible surface on the designed products due to the inclined position of the product carriers, the view being improved by the mirrors. The mirrors also visually enlarge the range of goods in a sales-promoting manner, since the customer sees the goods carriers and their contents twice through the mirroring. The slanted position of the product carriers results in a pleasant and appealing presentation. Tilt angles in the specified range are particularly favorable.

One or more inclined goods carriers can be arranged in the goods display cabinet. It is advisable to arrange at least two layers of goods carriers on top of each other in a way that is favorable for sales. The product carriers can also be lined up in a row to form several.

The product carrier layers adjoin one another like a staircase, the lower layer projecting in relation to the upper one. This is favorable for the presentation and also has advantages for the cooling effect, in particular in the case of a cooling unit on the roof. The display cabinet allows low temperatures around the freezing point and is also suitable for sensitive foods.

The stair layers can overlap. However, it is particularly favorable if the upper goods carriers connect to the upper edge of the mirrors of the lower goods carriers. As a result, the side walls of the goods carriers are not visible and the customer essentially only sees the goods displayed and their mirror images. The result is a continuous one Presentation area of maximum size and best use of space, whereby the range of goods appears in a scope and density that was not possible in previously known showcases.

To achieve good sales-promoting effects, it is advisable to arrange the mirrors vertically in relation to the base of the product carriers. The mirrors are thus also arranged obliquely within the display cabinet. It is also advisable to have the mirrors connected as close as possible to the rear edge of the goods carrier. The real product carriers are visually seamless in their reflection, so that there is a large coherent viewing or presentation area for the customer. To further improve the sales-promoting effects, the mirrors are provided with lighting that makes the real goods and their reflection appear bright and essentially shadowless. The lighting can be shielded from the customer by a panel, whereby the panel wall can be decorated and included in the overall design.

Two or more layers of product carriers can be provided one above the other. Due to the different height of the layers compared to the customer view, a layered gradation of the goods carrier inclination angle is advantageous. A greater angle of inclination towards the horizontal is recommended in the upper layers than in the lower layers.

In order to show only the goods as exclusively as possible, the goods carriers and their mirrors are preferably held on invisible supports at the rear. In the interest of the largest possible display area, the transparent front, which usually consists of glass doors, should be a maximum Provide viewing area. A frameless arrangement is recommended for this purpose.

Further advantageous refinements of the invention are specified in the subclaims.

In the drawings, a display cabinet (1) is shown, which has a closed housing and a cooling device (2). The housing is formed by walls (4) with thermal insulation (11) and a transparent front (3). Alternatively, the display cabinet can also be constructed as a free-standing tower accessible from several sides and have several transparent fronts. The transparent front consists of at least one glass door, preferably two or more glass sliding doors. The glass doors are made of safety glass and do not need a frame encircling the glass panes. They are only guided along the edges of the wall cutout. They have handles (17) and possibly a transparent heating element to remove condensation (not shown).

In the interior of the merchandise display cabinet (1), a plurality of merchandise supports (9) are arranged behind the transparent front (3), which are preferably designed as tubs. They take up the goods to be presented (18), which are preferably made from meat or sausage products, fish, cheese or other foods, which, as fresh goods, are to be shown and presented to the customer in a refrigerated manner. Alternatively, instead of the deep tubs shown, flat tubs, gratings, support plates or the like can also be used flat goods carriers (5) are used. In the base of the meat display cabinet (1), inserts (10), cabinet compartments or the like can be provided for other additional rooms.

The cooling device (2) is concealed outside the field of vision in the roof area of the merchandise display cabinet (1). In the exemplary embodiment shown, it consists of an evaporator with devices for controlling the air flow, humidification, etc. The cooling air preferably falls downwards in the middle area and at the front (3). Coming from above and from the front, it sweeps over the goods carriers (9) and the goods (18).

As shown in Fig. 1, the product carriers (5) are arranged obliquely, with the transparent front (3) and thus downward towards the customer. In the exemplary embodiment shown, the goods carriers (5) are arranged one above the other in two layers (14, 15). But it can also be three or more layers. As shown in FIG. 2, several narrow goods carriers (5) can be arranged in layers in a row next to one another. Alternatively, a single wide product carrier (5) can also be provided. 2 shows the two different designs in the layers (14, 15).

The product carriers (5) have an angle of inclination that is favorable for presentation relative to the horizontal, which preferably moves in a range between 25 ° and 45 °. The angle of inclination can differ in layers and increases with the height of the layer. In the embodiment shown, the goods carriers (5) in the upper position, which is approximately at the average eye level of the customers, have an inclination of approximately 30-40 ° to the horizontal. In the lower position (15), the angle of inclination ranges between 25 and 35 °.

A mirror (7) is arranged behind each of the product carriers (5) and is preferably aligned perpendicular to the surface or base of the product carriers (5). It connects with its lower edge to the rear edge (12) of the goods carrier (5). If necessary, there is only a small space in order to be able to hang the loose goods carriers (5) on rear supports (16).

The mirrors (7) are also supported from the rear facing away from the customer on invisible supports (6) which are connected to a carrying frame on the rear wall of the housing. On the upper edge of the mirrors (7), lighting (8), for example neon rods, is arranged. It is shielded from customer glances by a cover (9). The lighting (8) shines on the mirror and the goods (18) laid out in the goods carriers (5). The panel (9) can be mirrored on the inside to improve the lighting effect.

As illustrated in FIG. 1, the goods carriers (5) are arranged in a step-like manner one above the other in the two layers (14, 15), the lower layer (15) projecting from the upper layer (14). The upper goods carrier (5) preferably connects with its upper front edge (13) to the upper edge of the mirror (7) of the lower goods carrier (5). Its recessed bath area is thus behind the mirror (7). In the embodiment shown, it is also supported on the lower mirror (7). The lower goods carrier (5) is supported with its front edge (13) on a glare support (16). The anti-glare support (16) and the panels (9) can be used for decorative purposes. Your customer's external surface can be mirrored, for example.

The optical effect of the product carrier arrangement and the mirror (7) can be seen from FIG. Through the front (3) the complete range of goods is visible in the product carriers (5) and is presented by the mirror (7) in optically double size. In addition to the goods (18), only the panels (9) and the panel support (16) are present for the customer view from the set-up of the display cabinet, otherwise filled with the goods (18) to be presented for the entire visible area of the front (3). The mirror effect also results in an optical depth effect and a panorama effect, which have a pleasant, sales-friendly effect. In Fig. 1 the reflection of the goods carrier is shown in dashed lines.

The mirrors (7) should, as far as possible, reflect the entire visible area of the goods carrier (5) and the goods (18). For this purpose, the mirrors (7) preferably have a height which corresponds approximately to or is greater than the width of the goods carrier. The mirrors (7) of the upper layer (14) are somewhat shorter than the mirrors (7) of the lower layer (15). The upper mirrors (7) adjoin a roof surface at the level of the upper edge of the transparent front (3), which can be designed, for example, as a guide grille for the cooling air and visually closes off the presentation space in the display cabinet (1).

The height of the layers (14, 15) can be varied and can be adapted to optical effects that influence the customer. The merchandise display cabinet is usually located in the rear area of a sales room, with a sales counter, for example a refrigerated counter, at a distance in front of it. The sales staff also moves in the space between them. The sales counter and staff can at least partially obstruct or block the view of the goods display cabinet (1). To be a maximum anyway To achieve a visible surface, a high arrangement of the product carriers (5) in the upper layer (14) is recommended. For this purpose, at least the rear edge (12) is arranged at a distance above the average head height of the sales staff and thus also above the eye level of the customers. Without the customers having to look far upwards, they can thus see the upper layer (14) completely, the panorama effect of the mirror (7) also having a positive effect.
