Abstract
Description
The invention relates to a lid with a seat for a water closet, the toilet lid, which can be folded up about a pivot axis and covers the toilet seat, consists of an inner shell and an outer shell, which enclose a cavity.
When designing a water closet with a washing device and a warm air dryer, there are spatial problems with the accommodation of the warm air dryer. Such devices have so far been arranged between the seat and the cistern, but this has disadvantages for keeping them clean. This arrangement also has disadvantages with regard to electrical safety.
An object of the invention is to overcome these drawbacks. From US Pat. No. 4,586,201 a toilet seat / lid combination with a fan arranged in the area of the lid surface is known, the function of which is to extract odors from the interior of the toilet. The same task has a device shown in US Pat. No. 2,849,727, in which the fan is arranged in the region of the pivot axis of the toilet lid. DE-OS 3 239 008 shows a toilet seat / cover combination in which a heater is arranged inside the seat.
In contrast to these known devices, the object of the invention is to generate warm air by means of a blower and a heating element in the double-shell cover and to blow it out as effectively as possible to the lower body of the seated user.
This object is achieved in that the blower and the heating element of a warm air dryer are arranged in a lid with a seat of the type specified in the cavity and the toilet lid has a slot between the outer shell and the inner shell in the folded-up position, whereby the outer shell is formed to form an air outlet slot between the underside of the toilet seat and the outer shell below the pivot axis and thus has an approximately L-shaped cross section and is closed by tapering side walls. The outer cover shell expediently has longitudinal slots in its upper region in the folded-up position.
Laying the blower and heating element in the cavity of the double-skin toilet lid has the following advantages: the water closet is easy to keep clean, electrical safety is easier to guarantee than known devices and the unit consisting of lid and hot air dryer can be easily retrofitted. In particular, the arrangement of the blower and the heating element in the cover and thus at the greatest possible distance from the blow-out opening leads to aerodynamically advantageous air guidance. Together with the large-volume design of the blow-out opening, which is formed by the cover and seat, the required high air conversion is achieved.
An embodiment of the invention is described below with reference to the drawings.
Fig. 1 shows the toilet lid with associated toilet seat in cross-section in the raised position, Figs. 2a, 2b and 2c show the parts of the toilet lid and the associated toilet seat in a diagram and Fig. 3 shows the toilet -Lid in closed position.
As can be seen from the figures, the toilet lid consists of an
