Definitions
- the present invention relates to a vegetative sound-deadening barrier.
- the invention relates to a barrier of the said type, utilizeable in the open field, where it is necessary to protect areas against the effects of very strong noise sources, and more particularly areas iin proximity of roads, motor-ways, railways, etc.
- a sound-deadening wall of the type mentioned above in which the structure, substantially made up as precedently said, provides a base frame, on which the mentioned frame U-members couple, laterally provided with means that allow the lifting of the structure and with a tight loop net for the containment of the filling soil.
- the wall can be prepared directly in the manufacture, filled with soil and turned green, to be then transported to the site of utilization, without requiring the realization of foundations.
- this solution constitutes an improvement of the preceding ones, in that it turns out to be more easily assembleable and can be installed already turned green, but it realizes an extremely heavy structure, with all the problems that derive for the trasport and for the soil upon which it has to be layed.
- the main object of the present invention is to realize a vegetative sound-deadening barrier that, compared with the already known ones, is more easily installed.
- a further object of the invention is to realize a barrier of the said type that is cheaper than the already existing ones.
- Another object of the invention is to provide for a vegetative barrier completely autonomous from the point of view of the management after having provided for its iinstallation.
- a vegetative sound-deadening barrier made up of a plurality of longitudinally coupled single members, each one comprising an external frame structure, made up of two longitudinal structures connected to each other by upper crossmembers, upon which barrier interlace structures are erected, and in which barrier such a frame is provided inside said external frame structure, as to create two air spaces with said longitudinal structures, and upon which barrier an interlace structure is externally arranged; a presown biomat being provided inside said external frame structure, and a nonwoven geotextile material mat being provided outside said internal frame, and a filler material being provided in the two air spaces between the external frame and internal frame structure.
- an irrigation plant made up of a percolation plant that comprises at least two percolating tubes arranged longitudinally in each of the two air spaces.
- the tubes will be made up by flexible rubber porous tubes with an internal diameter of 16 mm and an external diameter of 21 mm, with a varitransudation variable between 3 and 15 l/h/m and an operating pressure between 0,6 and 13 atm.
- said internal frame will be comprised of pairs of tubular bars, arranged in to longitudinal rows, inferiorly fixed, inclined, two by two, to base crossmembers and upperly converging, two by two again, to a fitting longitudinal member, thus creating a "V" structure turned upside down.
- Longitudinal stiffening members can be provided between the tubular bars arranged the one at the side of the other.
- the coupling between single tubular bars and base crossmembers takes place, preferably, with an angle of about 85°, and can be realized by means of sleeves welded to said crossmembers.
- Said base crossmembers can have such a length as to allow the fastening of the external frame structure.
- Transverse reinforcement members can be also provided between the internal frame and the external frame structure.
- the external frame structure can be comprised of a series of members in the shape of a "U" turned upside down connected, inferiorly, by base longitudinal members and by base crossmembers or by a series of longitudinal members, arranged in two rows, coupled to each other longitudinally and connected with those of the other row by means of upper and lower crossmembers.
- Said interlace structures arranged on both the internal and on the ewternal frame are, preferably, made up of a steel electrowelded net with a loop of about 10 cm x 10 cm.
- the nonwoven geotextile material will be, preferably, a polyester cloth of weighting about 450 g/m and with a resistance to traction not lower than 40 kN/m.
- the presown biomat will be comprised of a biofelt in a nowoven fabric comprised of a long decay bio degradable fibres, in which the blend of seeds is defined as a function of the specific exigencies.
- the filler material will be comprised of a blend of vegetable soil, peat, organic fertilizer, chemical fertilizer, hygroscopic additives and an inert material.
- the internal frame will extend for a length equal to that of the external frame structure, with the exception of the end members in which it will be, by a side, shorter, to allow the turning green of the end wall.
- a vegetative sound-deadening barrier that provides an external frame structure, made up of eight tubular bars 1, arranged in two rows and connected, two by two, upperly, by crossmembers 2, and an internal frame stucture, made up of eight tubular bars 3, arranged in two row too, that upperly converge to a longitudinal tube 4.
- the bars 1 and 3 couple below in sleeves 5 arranged on two longitudinal rods 6 and on transverse rods 7.
- the distance between the bars 1 and the bars 3 on the rods 7 is of about 50 to 60 cm.
- the sleeves 5 are so inclined as to maintain the bars 1 and 3 parallel and as to make the internal frame to assume a structure in the form of a V turned upside down.
- Six horizontal tie rods 8 are arranged between the iinternal frame and the external frame to give the structures a greater strength and to avoid the inflection in opposite directions of the tubular bars under the thrust of the filling material that is inserted in the air spaces 9.
- the internal frame is further stiffened by means of internal tubular crossmembers 10.
- FIGs 6a and 6b and 7a and 7b the plugging system of the internal and external frame structure is shown, which system has the aim of avoiding the coming out of the filler material, and of collecting the distributed load transmitted by the material itself, to transfer the same to the main support tubular structures.
- the plugging is completed with the installation of four mats. Two of them, indicated with the numeral 12, are comprised of polyester "nonwoven geotextile" continuous clothes tentered onto the electrowelded nets 11 of the internal frame and clamped by clips. The other two mats, indicated with the numeral 13, are fastened to the nets 11 of the external frame and are comprised of a "nonwoven fabric biofelt", made up of long decay biodegradable fibres and endowed with an ternal presowing, peat, fertilizers, hygroscopic additives.
- the filling of the air space between the external and the internal frame is made up of a blend of vegetable soil, peat, organic fertilizer, chemical fertilizer, hygroscopic additives and an inert material.
- the specific weight of such a blend is of the order of 600 to 800 kg/m3.
- the total weight is of about 11 500 kg. Under water saturation conditions the weight reaches 15 000 kg. On the whole, therefore, a module completed with a barrier five meters high, under the most unfavourable conditions (saturated soil), is of about 17 000 kg.
- a pressure on the foundation soil derives not greater than 0.4 kg/m2, a limit further lowerable with the application of a distribution plate (bedplate) under the base structure.
- the irrigation of the earthy mass takes place by exploiting the sub-irrigation system, realized with porous tubes, not shown, in flexible rubber, having an internal diameter of 16 mm and an external diameter of 21 mm, with a transudation varialbe between 3 and 15 l/h/m, an operating pressure of 0.6 to 13 atm.
- the tubes are arranged with a longitudinal run in the proportion of two for each one of the two soil volumes.
- the barrier according to the invention can be assembled at the moment of the installation or in the factory.
- the longitudinal rods 6 and the transverse rods 7 are screwed to each other; then one proceeds welding the sleeves 5 and subsequently assembling the bars 3 of the internal frame, with the longitudinal tube 4 and the stiffening crossmembers 10; lastly the external frame is made ready.
- tie rods 8 for connecting the internal an the external frame are bolted.
- the filling of the barrier with soil is provided after the so completed structure has been installed placing it in the established seat. Once the filling has been completed, the earthy mass will partly weigh directly on the foundation soil through the empty spaces existing between the bars of the base structure, will partly transmit thrusts to the structures, which will be discharged on the oil through the base itself.
