Die Erfindung betrifft ein Walzen-Auftragwerk zum Beschichten von durchlaufendem bahn- oder tafelförmigem Material mit einem in flüssigem Zustand aufzutragenden Beschichtungsmittel, wobei

  • im unteren Bereich zwischen zwei Seitenwänden eines Maschinengestells über einer Wanne zur Bereithaltung der aufzutragenden Beschichtungsflüssigkeit eine in diese eintauchende Schöpfwalze und darüber eine auf der Schöpfwalze abrollende Auftragwalze gelagert sind und
  • über der Auftragwalze wenigstens eine die zu beschichtende Materialbahn oder -tafel gegen die Auftragwalze niederdrückende und auf dieser abrollende Gegenwalze auswechselbar zwischen zwei an den Seitenwänden des Maschinengestells angeordneten Führungs- und Lagerblöcken gelagert ist, deren Abstand zur Auftragwalze veränderbar ist.

Daher ist die Bereithaltung eines größeren Sortimentes von Gegenwalzen mit verschiedenen Oberflächen und verschiedenen Mantelbreiten auch sehr viel billiger.
Wegen des geringen Gewichtes kann das Auswechseln der Gegenwalzen mit geringem Aufwand an manueller Arbeit auch ohne technische Hilfsmittel mühelos durchgeführt werden.

Claims (10)

  1. A rollers assembly for coating web or sheet material with a coating agent to be applied in its liquid state, wherein
    - a lower area between two side walls (1) of a machine frame above a tank (3) for providing the coating liquid to be applied has supported therein a scooping roller (4) dipping into said liquid and, thereabove, an applicator roller (B) rolling on said scooping roller (4),
    - at least one counter roller (11) which presses down the material web (12) or sheet to be coated onto said applicator roller (8) and rolls thereon is replaceably supported above said applicator roller (8) between two guiding and bearing blocks (7) which are arranged on said side walls (1) of said machine frame and whose distance relative to said applicator roller is variable, and
    - said counter roller (11) forms part of a counter-roller set consisting of three rollers, wherein, above said counter-roller (11) in rolling contact therewith, two rigid press rollers (9, 10) are vertically movably supported at a small distance and in an at least approximately horizontal plane next to each other on the guiding and bearing blocks (7) together with said counter-roller (11) which is less rigid and has a smaller diameter in comparison with said press rollers (9, 10), and are supported such that they are adjustable at the desired pressure relative to said applicator roller (8),
    characterized in that said counter roller (11) has an axle journal (14) at both front ends and is supported between vertical guiding elements of two mountings that are arranged on said guiding and bearing blocks (7) and consist each of two movably interconnected members, namely a bracket member (16) secured to said neighboring guiding and bearing block (7) and a means rotatably supported on the free inside thereof about a shaft (17) extending in parallel with said counter-roller (11) at a distance therefrom for laterally guiding said counter-roller (11) and lifting it out of its working position.
  2. A rollers assembly according to claim 1, characterized in that each of the means provided at the two face ends of said counter-roller (11) and used for laterally guiding and lifting said counter-roller (11) comprises a bearing plate (18) which is pivotably supported about said shaft (17) on the inside of said bracket member (16) and oriented in a direction perpendicular to said shaft (17) and whose side facing said counter-roller (11) has arranged thereon, at a small distance next to each other, two bearing pins (19, 20) which are oriented in parallel with the axis of said counter-roller and grip below said axle journal of said counter-roller (11), and that said bearing plate (18) is formed as a central part of a two-armed lever which is pivotable about said shaft (17), with the short lever (21) being connected through a tension spring (11) to a downwardly oriented extension arm (23) which is secured to said bracket member (16), and the long lever arm opposite to said short lever arm (21) forming an operating lever (24).
  3. A rollers assembly according to claims 1 and 2, characterized in that commercially available ball bearings (19a, 20a) on which said axle journals (14) of said counter-roller (11) are rotatable in freely supported fashion are arranged on bearing pins (19, 20) positioned on said bearing plate (18).
  4. A rollers assembly according to claims 1 and 2, characterized in that said axle journals (14) of said counter-roller are rotatably supported in the front walls (11b) thereof and freely rest on said bearing pins (19, 20) of said bearing plate (18).
  5. A rollers assembly according to any one of claims 1 to 4, characterized in th said counter-roller (14) consists of a lightweight core tube (11a) which is closed at both ends by front walls (11b) from which said axle journals (14) project, with a casing (11c) of a different material being disposed on said core tube (11a).
  6. A rollers assembly according to claim 5, characterized in that said casing (11c) of said counter-roller (11) consists of a more or less soft material such as rubber or plastics.
  7. A rollers assembly according to claim 5, characterized in that said casing (11c) of said counter-roller (11) consists of a hard material.
  8. A rollers assembly according to any one of claims 5 to 7, characterized in that said casing (11c) of said counter-roller (11) has a smooth surface.
  9. A rollers assembly according to any one of claims 5 to 7, characterized in that said casing (11c) of said counter-roller (11) has a patterned surface.
  10. A rollers assembly according to any one of claims 5 to 9, characterized in that said casing (11c) of said counter-roller (11) is shorter than said core tube (11a) to any desired degree.
