Bei einer Axialverschiebung der letzteren, also in Richtung deren Längsachse, wird dabei das Messer quer zu dieser Verschiebungsrichtung verschoben und schneidet dadurch das überflüssige Papierbahnende an der Leitwalze 2 ab, nachdem der Klebestreifen an der Anpreßfläche 5 vollständig anliegt. In dieser Figur sind auch die Saugöffnungen 40, die von dem hohlen Träger 11 zur Anpreßfläche 5 führen und durch diese hindurchgehen, dargestellt. Ferner sind auch die Blasöffnungen 41 vorhanden, die an den Blasluftkanal 42 angeschlossen sind, welcher mittels Dichtungen 43 gegenüber dem Tragbalken abgedichtet ist. Es können weitere Saugöffnungen 45 des hohlen Trägers 11 vorgesehen werden, um den Klebestreifen in dem Schlitz 6 zu fixieren. Dies ist allerdings auch möglich (z.B. dann, wenn man keinen Hohlträger 11 verwendet) durch einen Druckschlauch 21. Mittels diesem Druckschlauch könnte anstelle der Führungsleiste 23 auch die Betätigung des Messers 20 erfolgen, wenn dieses an seinem dem Druckschlauch zugewandten Ende eine Druckleiste - wie strichpunktiert dargestellt - aufweisen würde. Claims (10)

  1. Device for applying an adhesive strip to the (outer) web end (web beginning) of a drum with the following features:
    a) a supporting beam (4) is disposed close to a guide roller (2) parallel thereto and has in its longitudinal extension a pressing surface (5) for the adhesive strip (A);
    b) below the pressing surface (5) directly adjacent thereto there is a nip slot (6) for the adhesive strip (A) parallel to the longitudinal axis of the supporting beam, the width of which is dimensioned for the part of the adhesive surface of the adhesive strip still covered in protective film later used later for the splice connection;
    c) a blade (7) is provided with its cutting edge (8) directly below or in the lower plane of the nip slot (6);
    d) the supporting beam is pivotably disposed about an axis parallel to its longitudinal axis, preferably about a lateral axis (19), disposed close to the guide roller (2);
    e) a guiding surface (16) is provided for the paper web end to be separated to guide it downwards, having a blow device or blow elements (14, 15) disposed above the guiding surface (16) with a stream of air directed lateral upwards mainly in the direction of the lowest point of the guide roller (2).
  2. Device according to claim 1, characterised in that a blow device or blow elements (9, 10) for blowing upwards the part of the adhesive tape (A) protruding out of the nip slot (6) are disposed beneath the nip slot, at least close to the pressing surface (5) of the supporting beam (4).
  3. Device according to claim 1 or 2, characterised in that the blade (7) is designed as an angular spring leaf and is pivotably disposed at right angles to the pressing surface (5) of the supporting beam (4).
  4. Device according to claim 3, characterised in that the blade (7) is disposed at the output end of the nip slot (6) for the adhesive strip (A) with its tangential end provided with the cutting edge (8).
  5. Device according to claim 3 or 4, characterised in that a pressure hose (12) is provided as a pressing element for the blade (7).
  6. Device according to one of claims 1 to 5, characterised in that devices are provided for adjusting the distance between the drum (C) and the guide roller (2).
  7. Device according to one of claims 1 to 6, characterised in that the guide roller (2) is provided with a rubber-elastic sleeve and is disposed beneath the bearing centre of the drum (C).
  8. Device according to claim 7, characterised in that the diameter of the guide roller (2) is at least 500mm, the pressing surface (5) of the supporting beam (4) is smooth and adopts a mainly tangential position in relation to the guide roller on transferring the adhesive tape.
  9. Device according to one of claims 1 to 7, characterised in that the pressing surface (5') is curved, whereby the curve middle axis is parallel to the pivot axis of the supporting beam (4') which is runs through the centre of the supporting beam (4').
  10. Device according to one of claims 1 to 9, characterised in that a hollow beam (11) bears the pressing surface (5) from the inside of which suction openings are guided through the pressing surface (5).
