Description
The invention relates to a housing wall connector for coaxial cables with a bore in the metallic housing wall penetrating tubular outer conductor part, which is guided in the bore with play relative to the housing wall, and an outer conductor tube which is inserted in the bore of the housing wall and is divided at one end into spring tongues which are biased inwards is and at the other, a rigid section end is formed by an outwardly projecting flange with thicker walls.
Such housing wall plug connectors for coaxial cables are used for the electrical connection of circuit arrangements located in the housing to other devices, the signals being routed outside the housing via a coaxial cable. The signal is routed within the housing via a coaxial cable. Good contact must be ensured between the housing wall and the outer conductor of the coaxial plug inserted into the housing wall with play.
A wall connector of the type mentioned is known from GB-A-2 224 891. The flange of the outer conductor sleeve is pressed against the outside of the wall by a nut that can be screwed onto the connector. The outer conductor part of the plug is held by spring tongues of the outer conductor sleeve which are bent inwards.
The invention has for its object to design a housing wall connector of the type mentioned so that easy installation is possible with good electrical contact.
This object is achieved in that the outer conductor part which can be inserted into the outer conductor tube with play relative to the rigid section is carried by inwardly directed projections provided on the free ends of the spring tongues and in that the flange of the outer conductor tube is countered by means of a tubular screw which can be screwed into the bore pressed a contact surface in the bore and the outer conductor tube is thereby secured in the bore.
In a further embodiment of the invention, the bore has two sections with different diameters, the contact surface for the flange of the outer conductor tube being formed at the transition from the section with a smaller diameter to the section with a larger diameter.
To fasten the outer conductor tube in the housing wall bore, the section of the bore with a larger diameter has a thread for the screw in a partial area.
The invention is explained in more detail below using an exemplary embodiment with the aid of a figure. The figure shows a housing wall connector according to the invention in a partially sectioned illustration.
In a
