Description

The invention relates to an articulated mounting for door support rods of motor vehicle door locks consisting of a hinge pin arranged in at least one hinge eye on a hinge half arranged on a door arrangement part, door or door pillar, in particular a bearing block, with a non-rotatably fixed hinge pin and one with a hinge eye receiving the hinge pin with a seat, with the second door arrangement part cooperating second hinge half, a door holding rod and a spring load provided for the purpose of compensating or eliminating the bearing play between the two hinge halves.

In the case of functional parts pivotably mounted in the body area of motor vehicles, a problem that arises from the movement characteristics of the parts to be articulated often arises with regard to the bearing design in that radially directed force peaks must be accommodated in the bearing of the parts to be articulated as a result of their mode of operation, the bearing bearing the occurring peak loads via a long operating life and preferably maintenance-free and must also exclude any noise in the storage, because due to the reinforcing effect of the adjacent body parts even a little noise in the storage is clearly noticeable and unpleasant.

A typical example of such conditions is the mounting of the door holding rod of such door locks of motor vehicle doors, in which the required, considerable braking and holding forces of the door lock are applied by the interaction of detents arranged on a door holding rod with spring-loaded locking elements arranged in a holder housing, and in which therefore the bearing of the door support rod, as a result of the high braking and holding forces to be applied by the door arrester in the radial direction, is subjected to high peak loads which occur abruptly and must, however, work maintenance-free and silently over a long operating time. It is therefore known to use bearing bushes in the bearing of the door holding rod of motor vehicle door locks, via which the hinge pin supporting the door holding rod on the bearing block is mounted in the hinge eye bore of the door holding rod. Not least as a result of the fact that, due to the mode of action of a door arrester, which has to brake the vehicle door at a constant opening angle or else has to ascertain it, a recording of the maximum radial peak load on the bearing always occurs at the same circumferential point of the bearing, the known bearings tend to deflect the storage, especially the hinge eye of the door support rod, which naturally leads to noise in the storage of the door support rod. This can be improved by special measures with regard to the bearing design, such as the arrangement of load springs acting in the axial direction in connection with a conical configuration of the hinge pin or the like, but not fundamentally eliminated. In addition, such measures are always associated with additional technical outlay and thus an increase in the price of the door arrester.

In order to eliminate the problems of noise development in storage, especially from door locks, the hinge pin has already been designed to be resilient in itself, in particular by using an adapter sleeve as a hinge pin. This measure, which is effective in itself and can be used at a tolerable cost, can, however, only be used for bearings of the door holding rod in which the door holding rod is accommodated in a bearing block with two legs. This known measure cannot be carried out or applied when the door holding rod is articulated on the fly.

Based on the prior art shown above, the invention is therefore based on the object of providing a joint mounting for door holding rods of motor vehicle door locks which can be produced and assembled with the least possible effort and which allows the door holding rod to be articulated permanently and maintenance-free and smoothly without any deterioration in the bearing quality .

This object is achieved in an articulated bearing according to the preamble of claim 1 essentially in that in addition to an axially directed to the hinge pin spring load is aligned in the direction of the greatest radial joint load, arranged between the wall of the hinge eye bore and the hinge pin circumference arranged spring support.

As a result of the arrangement according to the invention, the hinge pin is constantly held in contact with the peripheral wall of the hinge eye bore by spring loading, at least with normal radial bearing loading. Since the radial spring load additionally provided according to the invention always keeps the hinge pin in contact with the peripheral wall of the hinge eye bore of the door holding rod, even during high joint loads, with the area opposite the direction of the acting peak force, i.e. the area to support the force to be absorbed, not only a bearing play that may already be caused by production technology in the joint bearing, but in particular also any bearing play resulting from the operation of the articulated bearing is reliably compensated for. This has the advantage that with a simple construction and simple assembly of the joint bearing its permanent freedom from play is guaranteed.

In a preferred expedient embodiment of the invention it is provided that in connection with a smoothly cylindrical hinge pin, the radial spring load is aligned by at least one parallel to the hinge pin axis and the plan area of the hinge eye bore arranged overlapping spiral spring is applied. The arrangement of the spiral springs forming the radial spring load, which is parallel to the hinge pin, ensures that the door holding rod can be manufactured easily and that the joint bearing can be assembled without any problems.

With regard to the arrangement of the spiral springs applying the radially directed spring load, the invention provides in a first expedient individual embodiment that the spiral spring or springs arranged axially parallel to the hinge pin is assigned a hole which overlaps in terms of its plan area with the plan area of the hinge eye hole Therefore, one or both of the spiral springs can be inserted tension-free into the bore adjacent to the hinge eye bore and are then brought to the necessary radial preload by the hinge pin to be inserted into the hinge eye bore, whereby, at least with regard to the manufacturing tolerances, the play compensation in the joint bearing is achieved at the same time becomes.

According to a second individual embodiment, the invention provides, with regard to the accommodation of the spiral spring or spiral springs that apply the radial spring load, in the door holding rod that the hinge eye bore has at least one radially directed expansion for receiving the spiral spring.

The inventive design of an articulated bearing can in principle be carried out by means of a single spiral spring arranged axially parallel to the hinge pin axis, the diameter of which then advantageously corresponds at least approximately to the diameter of the hinge eye, but in some cases it is more expedient for the radial spring support to be two on a circular path concentric with the hinge pin axis Coil springs arranged side by side and symmetrically arranged with respect to the longitudinal axis of the door holding rod, the diameter of which is then significantly smaller than the diameter of the hinge eye bore.

To ensure a uniform radial spring loading of the hinge pin, however, it is necessary that the one or more spiral springs each extend over the entire height of the hinge eye on the door handle rod side.

In order to simultaneously achieve a spring load directed axially towards the articulated bearing, the invention further provides that the spring load directed axially to the hinge pin is formed by a spring clip engaging in one piece with the spiral spring or springs between the bearing bracket and the door holding rod and having at least one deflection directed perpendicular to the surface of the door holding rod is. This in particular simplifies the manufacture and assembly of the two spring loads.

If only one spiral spring is used to apply the radially directed spring load, it is provided that the spring clip formed in one piece with a single spiral spring is designed in a loop-like manner and the hinge pin is arranged comprehensively, bulges of the spring clip directed perpendicular to the surface plane of the door holding rod ensure the required spring action.

When using two adjacent spiral springs for applying the radially directed spring load, it is provided that the two spiral springs are connected to one another via a spring clip which forms an axial spring load on the joint bearing and is arched perpendicular to the surface plane of the door holding rod, and the spring clip rests on the opposite surface of the other joint half, such that that the spring bracket, which is formed in one piece with the spiral spring (s) and represents the axially directed spring load, rests on the surface of the bearing block facing the door holding rod.

In door locks with flying mounting of the one half of the joint formed by the door retaining rod, the hinge pin is provided at its free end with a cantilevered head and at least partially overlapping one or the two spiral springs. With regard to the design of the axially directed spring loading of the articulated bearing, it is further provided that the spring clip formed in one piece with the spiral spring or springs rests on the surface of the hinge pin head facing the door holding rod.

In the exemplary embodiments shown in the drawings, one joint half of the joint bearing is formed by the door holding rod 1 and the other joint half is formed by a bearing block 2 or 22. In the exemplary embodiment shown in FIGS. 1 and 2, the door holding rod 1 is mounted in the bearing block 2 by means of a hinge pin 3 made of solid material, the hinge pin 3 being fixed in the hinge eye holes 4 of the bearing block 2 with a secure fit and a hinge eye hole 5 reaches through the door support rod 1 with a seat. As can be seen in particular from the illustration in FIG. 1, in this embodiment the hinge eye bore 5 in the door holding rod 1 is provided with an extension 6, which extends in the longitudinal direction of the door holding rod 1 and into which a spiral spring 7 is inserted. The windings of the spiral spring 7 extend over the entire material thickness of the door holding rod 1, so that the spiral spring 7 abuts the hinge pin 3 over the entire height of the hinge eye bore 5. The length of the widening 6 is chosen so that the outline shape of the circumference of the spiral spring 7 intersects the outline of the hinge eye bore 5 such that the spiral spring 7 rests against the circumferential surface of the hinge pin 3 when the hinge pin 3 is mounted under radial own deformation under spring preload presses the opposite area of the peripheral wall of the hinge eye bore. At one end, a spring clip 8 is connected in one piece to the spiral spring 7. The spring clip 8 is loop-shaped in plan view and encompasses the hinge pin 3 in the area between the one surface 9 of the door holding rod 1 and the inner surface 10 of the bearing block 2. To generate an axially directed spring load with respect to the articulated bearing, the spring clip 8 is of a wavy, vertical type provided to the surface 9 of the door support rod 1 bulges 11.

In the exemplary embodiment shown in FIGS. 3 to 5, the door holding rod 1 is overhung on a bearing block 22 by means of a hinge pin 33, the hinge pin 33 being fastened in a rotationally secure manner to the bearing block 22 and passing through the hinge eye 55 of the door holding rod 1 with a sliding seat. The hinge eye bore 33 here has an approximately triangular extension 66 in plan view, in which the outline shape of the hinge eye bore partially intersecting spiral springs 77 are arranged with their outline shape. The spiral springs 77 are arranged alongside one another along a circular path concentric to the hinge pin axis and are connected to one another by a spring clip 88 formed in one piece with them. The spring clip 88 has a curvature 111, which is directed perpendicular to the surface 9 of the door holding rod 1 and via which, for the purpose of generating an axially directed spring load on the surface 9 of the door holding rod 1, surface 100 of a head connected to the free end of the hinge pin 33 12 is present. The head 12 of the hinge pin 33 is designed in terms of its diameter so that it also overlaps the two spiral springs 77, with the spring clip 88 being associated with a circumferential flange surface 100, such that the head 12 of the hinge pin 33 with an internal annular surface area directly on the uppermost turn of the coil springs 77 rests and thus secures them in their intended position within the joint bearing.
