  • Clocks generally have large dials and are placed in prominent positions in public places, so as to be clearly visible from practically all places in the hall or the room where they are located. Thus, these clocks are an ideal location for advertising posters. It has already been proposed, for example in patent FR 809,530, to provide an advertising disc on a clock, this interchangeable disc being fixed on the seconds shaft of the clock by a wing nut. To allow the fixation of this disc, it was necessary to provide a special construction clock, in particular because of the weight of the disc which required a more powerful motor and the particular shape of the seconds shaft to allow the fixation of the disc.
