Claims (4)

  1. Press for processing heterogeneous waste products composed of a solid phase and a liquid phase, said press comprising:
    - a frame (1);
    - a supply zone (3) to receive the heterogeneous waste products to be processed, which is open at the top and has two opposing lateral openings (5,6) adapted in cross-section to that of a plunger (7), which may be moved between one (5) of the openings of the supply zone (3) and a position located above the other opening (6) of said supply zone;
    - a pressure chamber (9) having an inlet (10) and an outlet (11) arranged opposite one another and disposed coaxially to said supply zone (3), said chamber (9) having a cross-section equal to that of the plunger (7) and containing calibrated passages (12a) connecting said pressure chamber (9) to means (13) for recovering the liquid phase;
    - an evacuation chamber (14) for the solid phase located downstream of said pressure chamber (9);
    - a means (15,16,18), which corresponds in form to said evacuation chamber and may be moved transversely to the axis of said pressure chamber (9) between a first closing position of the outlet (11) of said pressure chamber (9) during compression of the heterogeneous waste products and a second opening position of said outlet (11) for extraction of the solid phase from said pressure chamber (9), characterised in that it comprises means (20) for separation of discharges of the liquid phase and of the solid phase in said evacuation chamber (14) of said solid phase.
  2. Press according to claim 1, characterised in that the separating means (20) are formed by a swivel valve (24).
  3. Press according to claim 2, characterised in that the swivel valve (24) swings between the first position for connection of the evacuation chamber (14) with the means for recovering the discharges of the liquid phase during compression of the heterogeneous waste products in the pressure chamber (9) and a second position for connection of the evacuation chamber with the means for recovering the solid phase during extraction of said solid phase from said pressure chamber (9).
  4. Press according to claim 1, characterised in that the means (15) is provided with blades (18) on its lower section for cleaning the walls of the evacuation chamber (14).
