Abstract

A curtain wall consisting of mullion profiles (18) and transom profiles (21, 21[216C]) serves for mounting flat panels (16, 16[216C]). The flat panels (16, 16[216C]), particularly in the form of glass panes, are braced, in their edge regions, against the mullion profiles (18) and/or the transom profiles (21, 21[216C]) by pressure profiles (19) with interposition of a sealing strip (1) in each case. A sealing strip (1) is fixed to the web head (3) of a profile web (4) by way of a fixing groove (2), the web head (3) projecting from one of the profiles (18, 19, 21, 21[216C]) in the direction of the flat panel (16, 16[216C]). A plurality of sealing ribs, extending next to one another in the strip longitudinal direction in the manner of spread-apart fingers of a hand when seen in cross-section, protrude from the sealing-strip flank (12) on the side remote from the groove. Depending on the angular position of the flat panel (16, 16[216C]), at least one sealing rib (13) lies with its head end (15) approximately at right angles against the surface of the flat panel (16, 16[216C]). <IMAGE>

Description

The invention relates to a facade construction made of vertically running post profiles and horizontally running rung profiles connected to the post profiles. The facade construction serves to accommodate surface elements, in particular glass panes. To accommodate the surface elements, sealing strips are attached to the sides of the mullion and rung profiles facing the surface elements, against which the surface elements rest under pressure. For this purpose, pressure profiles are attached to the mullion and rung profiles, which apply pressure to the sides of the surface elements facing away from the mullion and rung profiles and permanently brace them between themselves and the mullion or rung profiles. Modern architecture increasingly starts with large-scale, level structures and prefers loosened structures. These loosened structures preferably consist of smaller partial surfaces arranged at any angle to one another. The angles of the surface elements with one another and therefore also the protruding angles of the surface elements from the post profiles deviate increasingly from right angles. Constructions consisting of different acute or obtuse angles are becoming increasingly important. The sealing effect of the sealing strips must therefore be guaranteed to be constant regardless of the selected setting angle of the surface element with respect to the post profile. Out
DE 38 17 551 C1
a facade construction is known for such different setting angles of the surface elements with respect to the post profiles. In this known construction, two webs forming an anchoring groove protrude from the post profile in the direction of the surface element. These two groove webs encompass a cam bar formed on the side of a sealing strip facing away from the surface element. The side of the sealing strip facing the fastening groove, from which the cam strip protrudes, is in turn rounded in such a concave manner that the Sealing strip on the fork-like, the concave shape of the surface ends slid rotating.

A disadvantage of this construction is the complex design of the anchoring groove with two mutually adapted groove webs which are at a defined distance from one another. Furthermore, the relatively unstable fixing of the sealing strip in the anchoring groove is disadvantageous. The pressure profile must namely transmit the pressure required to stabilize the fixation via a pressure element-side seal and the surface element into the sealing strip. The pressure force must therefore overcome the four interfaces of pressure element-pressure element seal, pressure element seal-surface element, surface element sealing strip and sealing strip-anchoring groove.

Another disadvantage of use is the limitation of the possible swivel range for the sealing strip. This is because the sealing strip can only be pivoted over the area specified by the fork end opening. This area becomes larger the narrower the connecting rib connecting the cam strip to the sealing strip. However, the connecting rib must not be too narrow, as otherwise a permanent connection between the sealing strip and the cam strip cannot be guaranteed.

The invention is therefore based on the object of executing a facade construction of the type mentioned in such a way that the setting angle between the profiles and the surface elements fastened to them can be varied continuously while reliably maintaining the sealing effect.

This object is achieved by the combination of features of claim 1. The sealing strip is fixed to the head of a profile web protruding from the post profile in the direction of the surface element. Several sealing ribs protrude from the sealing strip flank facing away from the profile web in the direction of the surface element. The sealing ribs run parallel to each other in the longitudinal direction of the ledge and are seen in cross-section like the spread fingers of one hand to each other. Due to this cross-sectional shape, there is a large number of essentially convex contact surfaces which protrude from the sealing flank. Due to the wavy surface shape, the surface element, which can be designed as a glass pane, but also as a non-transparent element, bears under pressure in at least one sealing rib in every angular position, which means that one of the setting angle of the surface element with respect to the profile is independently guaranteed constant effect of the sealing strip.

An embodiment according to claims 2 to 4 with a protective skin on the one hand prevents contamination of the sealing surface in its "wave troughs" and on the other hand converts the point or line-shaped contact pressure exerted by the sealing ribs on the surface element into a flat pressure acting on several sealing ribs. This reduction in a point-like pressure by converting it into a flat pressure corresponds in the vehicle sector to the reduction in the surface pressure through the use of crawlers. This caterpillar-like effect of the protective skin also brings about a significant increase in the sealing effect compared to the surface element. Furthermore, the actual seal is permanently protected by the protective skin against external influences, for example aging and weather. The gaps that still exist between the actual sealing core and the protective skin additionally achieve an improved insulation effect.

The embodiment of the sealing seat on the web head described in claims 5 to 8 is advantageous in use due to the simple assembly. The U-shaped configuration of the web head is easily possible, for example in the extrusion process. Due to the large contact surfaces of the seal on the web head on the one hand and the use of agraffen-like projections for surrounding the web head supported by a good clamping design on the other hand, a tight fit of the sealing strip on the web head is guaranteed. An undercut at the apex of the contact surfaces of the fastening groove formed in the sealing strip supports the tendency of the contact surfaces to move towards one another in such a way that they form the legs at an acute angle, as a result of which the clamping effect of the sealing strip on the web head is increased. An embodiment of the facade construction according to claims 9 to 13 allows the use of a post profile as a corner post of a facade construction, wherein the post profile can accommodate two surface elements standing at any setting angle to the post profile. The setting angle of the surface elements to the mullion profile can be infinitely adjusted over a range of 90 °. Furthermore, the sealing strip fits particularly harmoniously into the look of the facade construction.

The straight, parallel course of the protective skin to the surface elements adjacent to it results in a particularly large sealing effect due to the large sealing surface.

Der der Verlängerung 5 gegenüberliegende U-Schenkel 6 und der die beiden U-Schenkel 5,6 verbindende Querschenkel 7 liegen an den Auflageflächen 8,8' der Befestigungsnut 2 der Dichtleiste 1 an.The sealing strip 1 is fastened with its fastening groove 2 to the web head 3 of a profile web 4. The web head 3 has a U-shaped cross section, one U leg of which is the extension 5 of the profile web 4. The U-leg 6 opposite the extension 5 and the cross-leg 7 connecting the two U-legs 5, 6 lie against the bearing surfaces 8, 8 ′ of the fastening groove 2 of the sealing strip 1.

The contact surfaces 8, 8 'run at right angles to one another in such a way that they form the two legs at a right angle. At their front ends facing away from the apex 9 of the right angle are from the Contact surfaces 8,8 'approximately at right angles in front of the agraffen projections 10,10' in the direction of the web head 3. The support surfaces 8,8 'together with the projections 10,10' form the fastening groove 2. The web head 3 lies with the cross leg 7 and the U-leg 6 on the support surfaces 8,8 'and the projections 10,10' grip like pliers the end faces of the cross leg 7 and the U leg 6. The forceps-like positive and non-positive connection between the web head 3 and the fastening groove 2 is further increased by the undercut 11 molded into the sealing strip 1 at the apex 9.

From the sealing flank 12 facing away from the fastening groove, the sealing ribs 13, which to a certain extent spread apart in cross section, form fingers. The sealing ribs 13 are grouped in cross-section in a fan shape in the manner of a three-quarter circle around the apex 9, the fastening groove 2 forming the one-quarter circle segment which is missing to complete the circle. On the sides of the support surfaces 8, 8 'facing away from the projections 10, 10', the protective skin 14 likewise extends in cross-section in a three-quarter circle around the apex 9, but does not have the head ends 15 of the sealing ribs 13 in the rest position shown in FIGS. 1 and 2 affects. The protective skin 14 lies in the manner of a protective bead parallel to the sealing surface formed by the head ends 15 in front of the sealing ribs 13.

Die Wirkungsweise der Dichtleiste 1 ist etwa folgende:The operation of the sealing strip 1 is approximately as follows:

The surface element 16, 16 'shown as a glass pane lies between the sealing strip 1, which is fixed to the post profile 18 via the sealing web 17, and a non-adjustable counter seal 20, 20' attached to the pressure profile 19. The protective skin 14 lies partially on the surface element 16, 16 ', which in turn rests on the head ends 15 of the sealing ribs 13 in the manner of a caterpillar track. The area of the protective skin 14 which is not in contact with the surface element 16, 16 'is, similar to its rest position, approximately semicircular in cross section at a distance from the head ends 15 of the sealing ribs 13.

If the surface element 16, 16 'is pivoted in its position in relation to the post profile 18, the protective skin 14 slides like a caterpillar over the head ends 15 of the sealing ribs 13. The protective skin 14 always lies with its inside against several head ends 15 of the sealing ribs 13. Through the over the Protective skin 14, surface-like pressure acting on the sealing ribs 13, a high sealing effect is achieved.

Due to the stepless sliding of the protective skin 14 over the sealing ribs 13, the setting angle of the surface elements 16, 16 'relative to the post profile 18 can be adjusted continuously over a range of approximately 90 °, as a result of which the post profile 18 is a corner profile of one of several at different angles to one another Partial existing overall facade construction can be installed.

It should again be expressly mentioned that the sealing strip 1 can also be used as a counter seal 20, 20 'on a pressure profile 19 or as an angle-adjustable seal on a rung profile 21, 21' shown schematically in the figure drawings. The sealing strip 1 is shown as a detail in its position corresponding to FIG. 5 in FIG. 3 and in its position corresponding to FIG. 6 in FIG. 4, the surface element 16, 16 'being schematically symbolized by the chain of arrows pointing to the protective skin 14 .
