Abstract

A spinning rotor (4) is mounted rotatably about an axis (12) on a two-for-one rotor (8) which is itself mounted rotatably about the same axis (12) on a housing (1). The two-for-one rotor (8) is set in rotational movement via a driving wheel (15), and the spinning rotor (4) executes an oppositely directed rotation driven via a planet gear consisting of a gear ring (20) fastened to the housing (1), of a transmission gearwheel (21) mounted eccentrically on the two-for-one rotor (8) and having a gear ring (24) and of a driving gear wheel (25) connected to the spinning rotor (4). Fibres are transported via a feed channel (17) into a cavity (6) surrounded by the spinning rotor and yarn (28) is drawn off through a draw-off orifice (7) into a draw-off channel (14) and guided back in an arc externally around the spinning rotor (4) to the axis (12). Two further turns are thereby imparted to the yarn (28) per revolution of the two-for-one rotor (8) in a similar way to two-for-one twisting. <IMAGE>

Description

The invention relates to a method for spinning fibers into yarn according to the preamble of claim 1 and a spinning device for performing the method.

As is known, in the generic spinning method - the rotor-open-end method - there is a relationship of approximate proportionality between the speed of the rotor and the number of turns given to the thread per unit of time. Since the speed u. a. Because of the centrifugal force loading of the yarn during the drawing off, it cannot be increased indefinitely and, on the other hand, a certain number of turns per unit length is required to give the yarn the desired strength, this results in a limitation of the take-off speed and thus the productivity of the spinning process.

Various proposals have been made to overcome this limitation in the productivity of the rotor spinning process by adding more turns to the yarn after it is withdrawn from the rotor. For example, ring spinning can be connected to rotor spinning as a second process step, in which the yarn produced during rotor spinning plays the role of the roving (JP-A-60-28 524). This method is not only very complex, it also inherits drastic disadvantages of the ring spinning process, in particular the spun yarn is produced on relatively small spinning bobbins and then has to be rewound. It has also been proposed (CH-660 887 A5) to process the rotor-spun yarn with circulating air currents, but this only increases the twist of the outer fibers and not that of the yarn as a whole.

The invention, as characterized in the claims, on the other hand, specifies a method in which the yarn drawn off from the spinning rotor is given additional real rotation and the same can then be wound directly onto a package. This is achieved in that the yarn is immediately subjected to a further process step, similar to double-twisting, after it has been drawn off from the spinning rotor.

When using the method according to the invention, the yarn take-off speed can be increased considerably compared to pure rotor spinning and thus the productivity can be increased. The yarn quality also improves.

A spinning device is also specified in which the design problems which the method poses are solved in a very elegant manner.

The invention is explained in more detail below with the aid of drawings which illustrate only one embodiment.

  • FIG. 2 shows a schematic illustration of a part (planetary gear) of the spinning device according to FIG. 1.

A housing 1 contains in its base a conveyor roller 2 and an opening roller 3. A spinning rotor 4 with a circumferential groove 5 encloses a cavity 6 on its periphery and delimits it to one side. A take-off opening 7 is arranged opposite the spinning rotor 4.

According to the invention, the device has a double wire rotor 8, which is mounted in the housing in a bearing 9 and in a bearing 11 carried by a bracket 10 so as to be rotatable about an axis 12. The spinning rotor 4 is rotatably mounted in a bearing 13 on the double wire rotor 8 about the same axis 12 as the latter. The double-wire rotor 8 also forms the delimitation of the cavity 6 opposite the spinning rotor 4 and carries the discharge opening 7, which leads into a withdrawal channel 14 which extends in an arc of 180 ° around the spinning rotor 4 and finally to the axis 12, about which both the Double wire rotor 8 and the spinning rotor 4 are rotatable, is returned. He then leads along the axis 12 away from the spinning rotor 4 through a drive wheel 15, which sits coaxially on the double wire rotor 8 and via which the same is driven by means of a belt 16. The part of the double wire rotor 8 which is adjacent to the cavity 6 has a feed channel 17 which connects a receiving opening 18 facing the opening roller 3 to an output opening 19 which opens into the cavity 6 eccentrically.

To drive the spinning rotor 4, the spinning device has a planetary gear with a ring gear 20 fastened to the bracket 10 and surrounding the double wire rotor 8, with which a transmission gearwheel 21, which is rotatably mounted about an axis 23 in a bearing 22 mounted eccentrically on the double wire rotor 8, in Intervention stands. The transmission gearwheel 21 engages with a drive gearwheel 25, which is attached to the ring gear 24 and which is coaxial with the spinning rotor 4, that is to say also rotatable about the axis 12, and is fixedly connected to the latter via a shaft 26.

The rotation of the double wire rotor 8 causes the transmission gearwheel 21 guided in the bearing 22, due to its engagement with the ring gear 20, to be set into an opposite rotation about its axis 23, which is communicated via the ring gear 24 to the drive gearwheel 25 and thus to the spinning rotor 4, so that the latter a rotation counter to the rotation of the double wire rotor 8 executes.

The opening roller 3 feeds roving 27 to the opening roller 2 and dissolves it into individual fibers, which are then transported into the cavity 6 via the feed channel 17. There they lie under the influence of the centrifugal force in the groove 5 and are bound in a known manner in a yarn 28 which is drawn off through the withdrawal opening 7 and the withdrawal channel 14. It can then be immediately wound on a cheese.

As a result of the rotation of the double wire rotor 8, the fibers in the feed channel 17 are subjected to a centrifugal force which advantageously causes them to stretch. In addition, said rotation increases the relative speed between the fibers and the groove 5 at a given speed of the spinning rotor 4, which counteracts compression of the fibers.

In addition to the turns imparted to it by the spinning rotor 4, two further turns are impressed on the yarn 28 per revolution of the double-wire rotor per revolution of the double-wire rotor, as it runs through the draw-off channel 14.

The solution shown is particularly economical and elegant, since it requires only one drive for the entire spinning device and the transmission of force is accomplished throughout by means of form-fitting, interacting means. But there are also other options, such as driving the spinning rotor by means of an electric motor supplied with power via slip rings or by rotating magnetic fields.
