Claims (9)

  1. A valve for an aerosol can, allowing a product contained under gas pressure in the can to be sprayed, and comprising a body (3) fixed on the can and projecting towards the inside of this can, and an actuating stem (8) accessible from outside the can and capable of being displaced by a user's action to actuate the opening of the said valve (1), the said valve (1) being combined with a stop valve (13) adapted to be located inside the can and comprising a movable element (14) subjected to the action of a calibrated spring (18) in such a way that when the pressure in the can falls below a predetermined limit, the stop valve (13) prevents any spraying, even if the valve stem (8) is actuated, characterized in that the combination of the valve (1) and of the stop valve (13) is such that while the valve body (3) has an inlet (12) and the stop valve (13) comprises a tubular casing (15) covering the said inlet (12), the movable element (14) of the stop valve (13) is arranged in such a way that the passageway for the product constituted by the inlet (12) and the tubular casing (15) can be closed, the stop valve (13) only opening at a pressure inside the reservoir that is at least equal to the above mentioned predetermined limit.
  2. A valve according to claim 1, characterized in that the movable element for closing the stop valve is a ball (14).
  3. A valve according to claim 1 or 2, characterized in that the tubular casing (15) is fixed to the valve body (3) and includes an opening (16) for communicating with the inside of the can, this opening (16) comprising a seat (17) for the movable closing element (14), the calibrated spring (18) tending to apply this movable element (14) against the seat (17).
  4. A valve according to one of claims 1 to 3, characterized in that it includes a conventional standard valve, the casing (15) of the stop valve (13) being added to and fixed on the body (3) of this conventional valve.
  5. A valve according to any one of the preceding claims, characterized in that the casing (15) of the stop valve is provided with a connector fitting (20) that is coaxial with the communication opening (16) for the connection of a dip tube.
  6. A valve according to any one of the preceding claims, characterized in that provision is made for an additional gas intake (22) in the said casing (15) of the stop valve beyond the seat (17) of the closing element on the inner side of the can.
  7. A valve according to claim 4 or according to the set of claim 4 and of claim 5 or 6, obtained from a standard valve whose body (3) includes an extension (11) for connection to a dip tube, characterized in that the casing (15) of the stop valve (13) surmounts the extension (11), and the calibrated spring (18) is disposed coaxially round this extension (11) so as to bear against the end (19) of the standard valve body (3).
  8. A valve according to any one of the preceding claims, characterized in that the pressure as from which the stop valve opens is of the order of 2.10⁺⁵Pa (2 bar).
  9. An aerosol can fitted with a valve according to one of claims 1 to 8.
