Mit anderen Worten ausgedrückt wird vorgeschlagen, daß der umlaufende, nach oben oder unten gerichtete Flansch eines Deckels - je nachdem ob es sich um einen Übergreifdeckel oder um einen Einsetzdeckel handelt - aus dem gerillten Rand einer Ronde geformt wird und dann mit einem Stabilisierungsring versehen wird, der außen oder innen auf dem Flansch fest anliegt. Da die Deckel ebenso wie die Dosen mit einem hauchdünnen Kunststoffbelag versehen sind, ist es nunmehr möglich, durch Wärmeeinwirkung auf den Bereich des umlaufenden Stabilisierungsrandes oder -flansches und durch entsprechende Druckeinwirkung ein Verschmelzen der dann aneinander zur Anlage kommenden dünnen Kunststoffschichten zu erreichen, so daß dadurch der Stabilisierungsrand fest am normalen umlaufenden Flansch festgelegt ist. In Fig. 1 ist eine Dose 1 gezeichnet, die einen Übergreifdeckel 2 besitzt, wobei der Übergreifdeckel 2 in an sich bekannter Weise mit einem nach unten gerichteten umlaufenden Flansch 3 ausgerüstet ist.
