Abstract
Description
The present invention relates to nipples intended to be adapted on the opening of nursing bottles.
We know that in their classic form, teats, made of natural or synthetic rubber, have, opposite their open part arranged to be fixed on the neck of the bottle, a hole formed by one or more holes suitable for allowing flow of porridge into the child's mouth. It should however be emphasized that obviously this piercing also allows the leakage of the liquid outside the bottle when the latter is handled while the teat is not yet or is no longer in the mouth of the infant.
It will also be observed that the entry of air inside the bottle, entry which obviously accompanies the exit of the liquid out of it, frequently disturbs the operation, to the point that it often happens that the teat starts in depression as it is introduced into the mouth of the child, the air not being able to penetrate inside the bottle.
It is to all of these drawbacks that the present invention intends to remedy, which relates to a teat which, all being capable of being made of any material, natural or synthetic, and very particularly of silicone, is suitable for give complete satisfaction to the mother or nurse by avoiding any unexpected expulsion of liquid and by controlling the movements of opposite directions of the porridge and the air.
The teat according to the invention is defined in claim.
The appended drawing, given by way of example, will allow a better understanding of the invention, the characteristics which it presents and the advantages which it is capable of providing:
Fig. 1 is a vertical section showing, on a very enlarged scale, the arrangement of the bore of a teat established in accordance with the invention.
Fig. 2 is the plan view of the end face of the teat which faces towards the inside of the bottle.
Fig. 3 is a detail section, made transversely to the central slot of the bore.
1.Fig. 4 is a section along the plane indicated in IV-IV in fig. 1.
1.Fig. 5 is a section along the plane indicated in V-V in FIG. 1.
Fig. 6 reproduit fig. Fig. 6 reproduced fig. 3 when the bottle is oriented with the teat facing down.
In accordance with the invention, the piercing of the teat has a slot 2 (which has been assumed to have a straight profile in order to simplify the representation, but which is advantageously established with a broken profile in order to facilitate the flow of relatively thick slurries), at each end of which is fitted a blind
The
- effectively oppose any untimely expulsion of the liquid when the bottle is handled more or less roughly with the nipple turned substantially upwards,
- allow, by means of the deformation of the flaps illustrated in FIG. 6, the penetration of air into the bottle as the latter is emptied, when said bottle is used with the teat turned more or less obliquely downward and introduced into the mouth of the child.
It will be noted that the
