Abstract

The piercing comprises a central slot (2-2'), there being formed at least at one end of the slot a blind cavity (3) which has a substantially cylindrical profile and whose base, formed at a very slight depth, is cut radially so as to delimit deformable flaps, thereby permitting a functioning in the manner of a valve capable of permitting the intake of air into the feeding bottle while at the same time counteracting the inadvertent passage thereof during the manipulations carried out when the teat is outside the baby's mouth. <IMAGE>
