Abstract
Description
1 BIBERON D'ALLAITEMENT AVEC FONCTION D'ADMISSION D'AIR AMELIOREE 1 BREASTFEEDING BOTTOM WITH ENHANCED AIR INTAKE FUNCTION
The present invention relates to a nursing bottle. In known manner, a feeding bottle comprises a body, for example made of a plastic material, which is intended to receive a feeding liquid of an infant, in particular milk. This body is surmounted by a flexible nipple, which is secured for example by means of a threaded ring, also called screw ring, cooperating with an external thread formed on the upper part of the body. Other quick fasteners may be used, such as bayonet or quarter turn devices. The invention relates more particularly to such a bottle, which incorporates an external air intake function in the interior volume of the aforementioned body: during the feeding of the infant, outside air arrives in the body, to fill the void created by the liquid swallowed by the child who can suckle without interruption. Of course, the presence of this function of external air intake must not lead to leakage of liquid to the outside of the body. US-A-2,093,130 proposes a bottle of this type, in which the pacifier has a dress and a collar which are sufficiently flexible so that, when a depression appears inside the body of the bottle because of an evacuation outwardly liquid, the dress and the flange bend on themselves to then clear through holes defined through this dress and collar, these holes being hitherto closed by corresponding walls of the fixing ring of the pacifier on the body of the bottle. Although attractive on paper, this solution proposed by US Pat. No. 2,093,130 is unrealistic: indeed, in order for both the collar and the teat dress to deform together, it is necessary to create a very significant depression in the body of the bottle, which would force the child to produce a suction force particularly large, difficult or totally incompatible with a satisfactory distribution of the liquid to the child. In addition, such global deformation of the nipple poses real problems of leakage of the liquid outside the body of the bottle, during feedings. The object of the present invention is to provide an improved bottle, the function of external air intake is reliable and effective. For this purpose, the subject of the invention is a nursing bottle, comprising a body adapted to contain a liquid, a pacifier which comprises a main gown and a peripheral collar, and a nipple fixing ring on the body, which has a support flange of the flange against the body, which support flange includes a fitted receiving wall of the teat dress, and a crush wall of a flexible membrane belonging to the collar of the teat, which flexible membrane is adapted, during the establishment of the ring on the body, to be moved by the crush wall towards the interior volume of the body, from a rest position, in which the membrane is projecting from the remainder of the flange, to a sealing position, in which the crushing wall closes an orifice passing through the membrane, thereby preventing the liquid from leaving the body through this orifice, and which member Flexible rane is also adapted, during a depression in the interior volume of the body, to move from its sealing position to an air intake position, wherein the membrane is spaced from the crush wall so its orifice allows external air circulation into the internal volume of the body, characterized in that the receiving wall and the crushing wall are connected by a peripheral chamfer defined by the flange of the ring, and in that the receiving wall includes at least one notch communicating with the outside air a peripheral free space defined between the chamfer and the nipple, this free space being itself in communication with the orifice when the membrane is in the position of air intake. The idea underlying the invention is to locate the deformation of the pacifier, necessary for the intake of outside air, only to a flexible membrane belonging to the collar of the pacifier. In this way, from the appearance of a depression, even a weak one, in the interior volume of the bottle, this membrane "reacts", that is to say that it deforms to its position of admission of 'air. To do this, the invention does not seek to strain the dress of the pacifier, which would run high risks of liquid leakage to the outside, but, on the contrary, plans to circulate the outside air. along the length of this dress, more precisely in one or more notches in the ring, hollowed out in the wall of this ring, receiving the dress in an adjusted manner. In addition, to place this or these notches in communication with the orifice of the membrane when the latter is in its air intake position, the invention proposes to chamfer the ring on its periphery, at its zone of connection between the receiving wall of the dress and its crush wall of the membrane: in this way, independently of the angular positioning between the ring and the nipple, outside air from the indentation or notches can flow along this chamfer to reach the orifice of the membrane. In other words, the bottle according to the invention incorporates clever arrangements, both reliable and effective, to achieve its function of external air intake.
In practice, the bottle according to the invention is of simple manufacture and, therefore, economical. Indeed, the membrane of the nipple according to the invention can be achieved by means of a conventional molding, during which its orifice is defined. In other words, no cutting operation is necessary to achieve this orifice.

The invention will be better understood on reading the description which follows, given solely by way of example and with reference to the drawings, in which: FIG. 1 is an exploded perspective view of a bottle conforming to FIG. invention; - Figure 2 is an elevational view along the arrow I l of Figure 1, the bottle ring; - Figure 3 is a partial cross section of the bottle in the assembled state along the line III of Figure 2; and FIGS. 4 to 6 are partial cross-sections along the line IV of FIG. 2, respectively illustrating three positions of a membrane belonging to the nipple of the bottle. In Figure 1 there is shown a nursing bottle having three distinct constituent components, which, in use, are assembled to each other, namely a body 10, a nipple 20 and a ring 30.
The body 10, which is made of any suitable material, has an end neck 12, which is centered on an axis XX and which is provided with an external thread 14. In practice, the embodiment of the body 10 is is not limiting of the present invention. In use, the body 10 contains a feeding liquid of a child.
The teat 20 has a main dress 22 having a generally tubular shape, centered on the axis XX when the teat 20 is assembled to the body 10. At its end opposite the body 10, the dress 22 ends with a tapered tip 21, to through which liquid from the body 10 flows outwardly when a child sucks the pacifier.
At its opposite end, the dress 22 ends with a peripheral collar 23, also called plateau. As can be clearly seen in FIG. 3, this flange 23 extends generally in a plane perpendicular to the central axis of the dress 22, in other words at the axis XX when the teat 20 is assembled to the body 10. As can be seen on FIG. Figure 1 and as shown in more detail in Figure 4, the flange 23 includes, on a small part only of its periphery, a membrane 24 having a thickness less than the rest of the flange. This membrane 24 is located in the inner radial portion of the collar 23, which is notched accordingly, and is connected directly to the dress 22. Due to the nature of the nipple 20, which is made of any suitable material, in particular in silicone or natural rubber, the membrane 24 has a certain flexibility, being noted that this membrane is much softer than the rest of the flange 23 and the dress 22, because of its small thickness compared to that of the rest of the collar and to that of the dress. Advantageously, as clearly visible in FIG. 3, the flange 23 has, apart from the membrane 24, substantially the same thickness as the dress 22. As shown in FIG. 4, the membrane 24 is hollowed out with a through orifice 25 which is advantageously performed during the molding of the entire nipple 20. As shown in Figure 1 and as shown in more detail in Figure 2, the ring 30 has a threaded barrel 31 which, when centered on the XX axis, is adapted to cooperate with the thread 14 to screw or unscrew the ring 30 around the body 10. At the end of the barrel 31 opposite the body 10, the ring 30 comprises a flange 32 radially projecting inwards by relative to the barrel 31. As shown in Figure 3, this flange 32 is adapted to support the flange 23 against the neck 12 of the body 10 during the establishment by screwing the ring 30 around the neck. To do this, the facing faces 23A and 32A of, respectively, the flange 23 and the flange 32 are provided to cooperate by complementary shapes. The rim 32 defines a central opening through which the nipple 20 passes. More precisely, as represented in FIGS. 2 and 5, the rim 32 includes, at its inner radial end, a cylindrical wall 33, centered on the axis XX and dimensioned. in order to fitly receive the dress 22 of the nipple 20. This wall 33 is hollowed out with three indentations 34 distributed substantially uniformly around the periphery of the ring 30. Each notch 34 extends over the entire axial dimension of the wall 33 , connecting to each other the face 32A of the flange 32 and its opposite main face 32B. In the embodiment considered here, each notch 34 thus extends parallel to the axis X-X. In addition, as shown in FIG. 5, the wall 33 is connected to the face 32A of the flange 32, not in an angular manner, in particular by marrying the connection angulation between the dress 22 and the collar 23 of the nipple 20, but this wall 33 and this face 32A are connected by a chamfer 35 which runs over the entire periphery of the rim 32. Thus, in the assembled state of the bottle, this chamfer 35 defines with the nipple 20 a peripheral free space 36 in which opens axially each of the indentations 34. In this way, the peripheral free space 36 is permanently in communication with the outside air, via the indentations 34: in fact, on the one hand, the area of the pacifier 20, which connects the dress 22 to the collar 23, remains at a distance from the chamfer 35 and, secondly, even if the dress 22 advantageously maintains a tight contact with the wall 33 of the flange 22, this dress remains at a distance from the bottom of the indentations 34, as well as visible in Figure 3. On v to now describe in more detail the use of the bottle.
Prior to the actual use of this bottle, the body 10, the nipple 20 and the ring 30 are assembled to each other. FIG. 4 shows the teat 20 before this assembly: the membrane 24 then occupies a rest position, in the absence of action of the ring 30. In this configuration, the membrane 24 is, relative to the rest of the collar 23, slightly projecting upwards, that is to say in the direction of the endpiece 21. Then, when the ring 30 is usually screwed onto the neck 12, the face 32A of the flange 32 comes into position. press against the collar 23, towards the internal volume V of the body 10. In doing so, at this face 32A, the flange 32 therefore includes a wall 37 which crushes the membrane 24 downwards. In other words, this wall 37, called crushing, acts on the membrane 24 so as to lower the latter and make it flush with the rest of the flange 23, until it occupies a position, called sealing , in this configuration, the liquid contained in the body 10 can not escape to the outside through the orifice 25 since the latter is closed off by the crushing wall 37. FIG. the bottle during a sucking by the child. In the usual way, this action of the child induces a depression in the internal volume V of the body 10: this depression acts on the membrane 24, away from the crushing wall 37. This significant deformation of the membrane 24, compared to the rest of the collar 23 and the dress 22, due to its greater flexibility vis-à-vis the rest of the nipple 20. In this deformed configuration of the membrane 24, the orifice 25 of the latter is located in communication with the free zone 36, via the passage resulting from the separation of the membrane vis-à-vis the crushing wall 37. The outside air can then be admitted to the inside of the body 10 according to the following path: this outside air first enters each of the indentations 34, reaches the free peripheral zone 36, then passes through the orifice 25 into the internal volume V of the body 10. In FIGS. , this path of air is materialized by f F. It will be noted that the outside air flows along the path described just above, regardless of the relative angular positioning between the nipple 20 and the ring 30: in other words, during the assembly of the bottle, the user does not have to index angularly the nipple 20 to place the membrane 24 in a specific angular configuration.
When the child stops its suction action, the membrane 24 is placed again against the wall 37, by elastic return. In other words, the membrane 24 then returns to its sealing position of Figure 5. Various arrangements and variants of the bottle described so far are also conceivable: - the number of notches 34 is not limited to three; in particular, only one indentation is sufficient; and / or - unlike the embodiment shown in FIGS. 1 to 6, the flexible membrane may not be connected directly to the dress 22 of the nipple 20, this membrane then being formed in a radially median zone of the collar 23, being connected to the dress by a massive zone of the collar; in this case, the membrane has a slightly curved upward profile at rest, in order to be effectively crushed by the wall 37; in addition, the chamfer of the ring 30 then has radial dimensions greater than those of the chamfer 35 shown in the figures.
