Claims (7)

An adhesive applicator device in edge banding machines having a tapered nozzle body (6), having an adhesive feed channel (8) extending therein vertical to the feed direction (7) of the workpiece (4) from which channel at least one row of application holes (9) exits between the ribs (10) of a doctor blade (11), and having a dosing rod (13) movably mounted in said feed channel (8), characterised in that a feeler slide (18) in contact with a sealing surface (19) in the vicinity of said application holes (9) is movably mounted parallel to said dosing rod (13) on said nozzle body (6), the feeler surface (20) of said slide (18) interacting with said workpiece (4).
  2. An applicator device according to Claim 1, characterised in that said feeler slide (18) is movably mounted on the dosing rod (13) against the action of an elastic force (23).
  3. An applicator device according to Claim 1 or 2, characterised in that said feeler slide (18) is provided with a sealing strip (25) that engages with a sealing effect in a groove (24) disposed in the vicinity of said application holes (9) in said nozzle body (6).
  4. An applicator device according to one of Claims 1 to 3, characterised in that said feeler slide (18) has at least one sealing leg (26) extending vertically to said sealing surface (19) and being in sealing contact with said nozzle body (6) at the end of said doctor blade (11).
  5. An applicator device according to one of Claims 1 to 4, characterised in that said feeler surface (20) of said feeler slide (18) is disposed at an angle to said sealing surface (19).
  6. An applicator device according to one of Claims 1 to 5, characterised in that said feeler surface (20) has an inward slant (28).
  7. An applicator device according to one of Claims 1 to 6, characterised in that said doctor blade (11) has at its lower end an inclined contact surface (29) for the lower edge of the narrow surface (12).
