- Box with an articulated lid, consisting of a first and a second parts, of which one forms the lid and the other the box body, with a hinge which comprises :- a tenon (3) integral with the first part and carrying pins (5) which are opposite to one another,- a slot (4) provided in the wall of the second part and open on one of the faces of a wall of the second part, this slot receiving the tenon, and indentations (6) being made laterally on the slot and opening on the same face of a wall of the second part and forming a receptacle for the pins,- and a rigid component intended for maintaining the pins in their receptacles, this rigid component being placed into position after the pins have being introduced into their receptacles (6), and maintained by complementarity of forms in connection with the second part,characterized in that :- the box is able to contain a rigid article of predetermined dimensions, which does not form part of the box,- the slot (4) opens towards the inside of the second part,- the indentations (6) for receiving the pins open only towards the inside of the second part,- and the inner dimensions of the box are such that the said article, when in the box, forms by itself the said component for maintaining the pins by preventing the tenon to be sufficiently displaced towards the inside of the box sufficient to permit the pins to go out of their receptacles.
- The box as claimed in claim 1, characterized in that complementary reliefs are provided on the mutually confronting surfaces of the parts, these reliefs being such that, when the box is closed, they sufficiently prevent a displacement of the tenon towards the inside of the box to prevent the pins from coming out of their receptacles.
- The box as claimed in claim 1, characterized in that there are provided between at least some of the said reliefs of the parts interlocking connections which oppose an undesirable opening of the box.
- The box as claimed in one of claims 1 to 3, characterized in that the indentations for receiving the pins comprise an inclined portion (7) for the engagement of the pins and a rounded bottom (8) for receiving the pins and allowing them to pivot.
- The box as claimed in one of claims 1 to 4, characterized in that the lid being made of plastic, the tenon and the pins are in one piece with the lid.
- The box as claimed in one of the preceding claims, characterized in that at least one zone of the wall of the box is transparent, and in that a slight play is provided between the inner wall of the case and the article contained in it, and a flexible publicity or decorative sheet can be introduced into the gap so as to be seen from outside through the said transparent or translucid zone
