Abstract

Ein derartiger Lockenwickler ist z.B. aus der DE-OS 33 01 592 bekannt. Weiters ist aus der US-PS 3,123,079 ein Lockenwickler mit an den Wickelkörperenden angesetzten Flanschen bekannt, die den Haarstrang festhaltende Widerhaken aufweisen.
Alle diese bekannten Lockenwickler dienen lediglich dazu, eine in einer Richtung einmal aufgewickelte Haarsträhne auf dem Wickelkörper zu fixieren.
Es hat sich aber gezeigt, daß es für Frisuren mit sehr fülligen Locken besser ist, wenn die einzelnen Haarsträhnen gebrochen gewickelt werden, d.h. wenn ein Teil der Länge der Haarstränne zuerst in einer Richtung und danach ein weiterer Teil der Länge der Haarsträhne in der entgegengesetzten Richtung gewickelt wird. Dies ist mit den bekannten Löckenwicklern jedoch nicht möglich.

Erfindungsgemäß wird dies dadurch erreicht, daß die Bohrungen bis zum äußeren Umfang des Wickelkörpers reichen und im Bereich der äußeren Mantelflächen der Flansche randoffen sind, wobei die lichte Weite dieser Öffnungen geringfügig kleiner als der Durchmesser der Bohrungen ist, der dem Durchmesser der Stäbe entspricht.
Auf diese Weise ist es möglich, zunächst einen Abschnitt der Haarsträhne, die eine Länge von z.B. dem 1,5-fachen des Umfangs des Wickelkörpers besitzt, auf diesen aufzuwickeln und durch einen Stab am Wickelkörper festzuklemmen. Sodann wird die Haarsträhne um 180° umgebogen, in der anderen Richtung ein Stück weitergewickelt und vor der nächsten Wickelrichtungsumkehr wieder durch einen weiteren Stab festgeklemmt usw., bis die Haarsträhne in dieser Art zur Gänze aufgewickelt ist. Je nach der Länge der Haarsträhne kann die Wickelrichtung entsprechend oft gewechselt werden.
Diese Wickelmöglichkeit wird durch die Merkmale der Erfindung erstmals geschaffen. Dadurch, daß die randoffenen, die Stäbe übergreifenden Bohrungen in den Flanschen bis zum äußeren Umfang des Wickelkörpers reichen, ist es erstmals möglich, Teilabschnitte einer Haarsträhne derart festzuklemmen, ohne daß sie vom Wickelkörper abrutschen können. Bei den bekannten Lockenwicklern klafft zwischen den einsetzbaren Stäbchen und der Wickelkernoberfläche hingegen ein breiter Spalt, der das Einklemmen einer nicht vollständig aufgewickelten und ausreichend langen Haarsträhne nicht zuläßt.
Durch das konstruktive Merkmal, daß die Bohrungen im Bereich der äußeren Mantelflächen der Flansche randoffen sind, wobei die lichte Weite dieser Öffnungen geringfügig kleiner als der Durchmesser der Bohrungen ist, der dem Durchmesser der Stäbe entspricht, ist es weiters möglich, beim Wendevorgang immer wieder einen Fixierstab aufzudrücken, obwohl die Wickelhöhe im Zuge der Bewicklung immer mehr zunimmt.
