Abstract

Air ducts and air-conditioning ducts for ventilation systems have a surface designed to have a bactericidal and fungicidal action. This design results in the air flowing through the air duct being subjected to a chemical treatment. In order to improve the chemical action, the invention proposes that the internal surface of the duct has strongly alkaline and strongly acidic sections which alternate in separate zones along the duct in the direction of flow of the air.

Description

The invention relates to an air conditioning duct that is bactericidal and fungicidal. Air ducts with such an inner surface are often used in ventilation and air conditioning systems.

Die Abtötung erfolgt aufgrund der hohen toxischen Wirkung des chemischen Stoffes.JP-A-59124428 shows an air conditioning system in which individual device parts and an air duct section which accommodates such device parts are provided with a coating which consists of a fungicide. A trichlorohydroxyziphenyl ether is used as the chemical substance for the fungicidal coating; This is a toxic chemical, by means of which fungi, germs etc. contained in the air passing through the air conditioning system are killed. The killing takes place due to the high toxic effect of the chemical substance.

Due to the required high toxic effect of the chemical substance used for the coating, complex safety measures must be guaranteed during the production of the coating. Furthermore, considerable difficulties arise for device parts and air conditioning ducts coated in this way when they are disposed of after the end of operations.

The invention has for its object to provide a bactericidal and fungicidal climate channel.

This object is achieved in that the air conditioning duct has strongly alkaline and strongly acidic areas. Due to the creation of a strongly alkaline and a strongly acidic chemical environment within the climate channel, fungus-like growths, which are known as disease carriers, are prevented from developing within the climate channel. The strong alkaline and the strongly acidic chemical milieu is used to kill the bacteria, fungi, germs etc.

The strongly alkaline / strongly acidic interaction prevents to a large extent the growth of fungi and bacteria, as well as viral loads in the climate channel.

A strongly alkaline or an alternately strongly alkaline and strongly acidic air conditioning duct can be produced in a particularly simple manner if its inner skin is designed as a hose which is exchangeable and alternately consists of a strongly alkaline and a strongly acidic material. Some very different Hoses with a pH value and appropriately designed hoses can be drawn into the air conditioning duct one above the other.

Viren, Bakterien etc., verhindert.A particularly frequent and effective change between strongly acidic and strongly alkaline chemical milieu results when the inner surface of the air conditioning duct alternates with successively strongly alkaline and strongly acidic stripes. This makes the formation and multiplication of pests particularly effective, e.g. Viruses, bacteria etc. prevented.

An inner surface provided with successive strips in this way can be created in a particularly simple manner by applying strongly acidic strips to a strongly alkaline lower surface at a distance from one another or strongly alkaline strips to a strongly acidic lower surface.

If at least one of the alternating strongly acidic and strongly alkaline strips forms an approximately funnel-shaped flow cross-sectional constriction, this can result in thorough mixing of the air flow, as a result of which the entire air flowing through is subjected to the alkaline / acidic change.

It is also possible to cover the inside surface of the air conditioning duct by metal or plastic To form perforated inserts that are offset one above the other and of which one perforated insert consists of a strongly alkaline material and the other perforated insert consists of a strongly acidic material. A perforated insert configured in this way as a film can be inserted into the air conditioning duct as a one-piece pipe system or as a perforated pipe system.

The air conditioning ducts according to the invention can advantageously be used for the production of ventilation and air conditioning systems.
