Definitions

  • the invention relates to a modular structure for the construction of prefabricated buildings based on glued laminated wood beams. It will particularly find its application in the building sector for the manufacture of offices, public buildings or other.
  • the builder can prepare standard modular structures with economic mass production, and then simply fix the walls, floor and roof in the factory depending on the building to be constructed.
  • the partially equipped modular structures are then transported to the site where, using an appropriate lifting device, they are directly installed.
  • Civil engineering works are also extremely reduced since, generally, modular structures can be simply placed on a concrete sill and studs, specially poured for this purpose.
  • Modular structures based on metal profiles are widely used but suffer from faults, in particular inherent in corrosion, which means that significant maintenance costs and a necessarily limited building life are required.
  • metal is a good conductor of heat and it is necessary to provide insulation reinforced external.
  • the modular structure of the present invention is limited to the use of glued laminated wood beams. It is a modern product that offers many advantages both aesthetically and technically.
  • glued laminated timber can withstand very high stresses, it offers very high rigidity and excellent longevity without maintenance. All the difficulty of using this material is encountered in terms of fasteners. It is indeed imperative to ensure an excellent distribution of stresses at the attachment points. This characteristic is specific to wood and is not encountered, for example, with metal profiles where point welds, bolts or the like can ensure very rigid cohesion between the parts despite extensive localization of stresses.
  • US Patent No. 4,398,841 shows a system for fixing the structure made from parts. This patent describes the interconnection of vertical and horizontal beams by fixing of cooperating elements by means of pins and lights, but these attachment means do not allow connections to be made embedded in the wood for the creation of juxtaposed modules when the a single stage or superimposed modules are produced when a stage is produced.
  • the main purpose of the present invention is to present a modular structure for the construction of prefabricated buildings based on glued laminated wood beams, which allows you to create frames, possibly on one floor, only placed on the ground. No foundation of civil engineering is necessary, only the installation of strip footings or studs in lightly reinforced concrete must be planned. This work can be carried out very quickly, which significantly lowers the cost of construction. Long span beams can be used for the realization of large construction cells.
  • Another object of the present invention is to provide a modular structure for the construction of prefabricated buildings based on glued laminated wood beams, the structure of which is such that it makes it possible to ensure excellent distribution of the constraints.
  • Another object of the present invention is to easily produce a juxtaposition of different cell modules and also to produce one or more stages.
  • the present invention relates to a modular structure for the construction of prefabricated buildings based on glued laminated wood beams. It concerns the prefabricated building industry.
  • prefabricated buildings offer the advantage of being able to be installed very quickly to meet almost immediate needs. Even greater gains can be made by adding modularity to the advantage of prefabrication. This involves building a basic cell that can be assembled in two dimensions. Thus, the frame of a building is constructed by juxtaposition of modular cells which, then, must be covered with external walls, floor and roof, to form a complete construction. With such a construction process, it is possible to envisage making the most diverse buildings to fulfill very varied functions with, originally, a standard industrial construction.
  • the present invention is situated, which differs essentially from current prefabricated constructions in that it uses as a basic element glued laminated wood beams instead of traditional metal profiles.
  • the advantages of glued laminated timber are low maintenance and good aesthetics.
  • the difficulty lies in the connection of the different elements.
  • Figure 1 shows schematically the basic modular structure (1) designed according to the present invention.
  • it allows to realize either a building on the ground floor or possibly with a cell (2) superimposed to create a floor.
  • the building to be constructed will be entirely realized by juxtaposition of basic cells (1) and possibly (2).
  • the building must, on the outside, be lined with panels fixed to the modular structure (1 and 2) and also with floors and roofing. Regarding these last points, it is a set up within the reach of the skilled person and which will not be detailed in the following description.
  • the modular structures (1 and 2) are, according to the present invention, entirely made from glued laminated wood beams. These beams form the sleepers (3), the side members (4) and the columns (5). This creates a modular parallelepiped structure that defines the base cell.
  • the modular structure (1 and 2) has hooking means passing through the various lower beams and which allow them to be fixed at an angle.
  • a through fixing would oblige to pierce it right through in the direction of the length, which is unacceptable.
  • the two beams to be combined are joined by an intermediate connecting element which is fixed to each of the beams by a through fastening.
  • this characteristic does not have to be strictly observed, although it remains applicable because the force encountered by pressing the upper cross member on the column is of the compression type for which the connecting element essentially plays a centering role without the stresses passing through it.
  • the hooking means are in the form of an L-shaped profile (6) fixed by non-illustrated through bolts (7) on the column (5).
  • the L-shaped angle iron (6) is fixed to the external side of the structure (1) and extends in dimension to the base of the column (5).
  • countersinks are made in the column (5) to drown nut and washer in said column (5).
  • the L-shaped profile (6) cooperates with a fixing placed at the end of the cross-member (3), as illustrated in FIG. 2.
  • the fixing at the end of the cross-member (3) is in the form of a square (8) a wing (9) of which is fixed to the base of the cross-member (3) by means of bolts (10) through which are not shown, said wing (9) being, in the example chosen, produced by a profile in the form of U.
  • the other wing (11) located at the end of the crosspiece (3) is spaced from the end thereof to allow the introduction of connecting bolts (12) not shown with the lower part of the angle ( 6).
  • the bracket (8) can advantageously be reinforced by the presence of a lug (13) integral with the wing (11) and which is fixed to the upper part of the end of the crosspiece (3) to the using the same through bolts (10) which are used to fix the wing (9).
  • a lug (13) integral with the wing (11) and which is fixed to the upper part of the end of the crosspiece (3) to the using the same through bolts (10) which are used to fix the wing (9).
  • the end of the crosspiece (3) is somehow pinched between the tab (13) and the wing (9), which ensures an excellent distribution of stresses within the beam.
  • the wing (11) allows fixing at the end of the crosspiece (3), of the through type without the need to cross the crosspiece (3) lengthwise.
  • the side member (4 ) is fixed on a connecting piece (15) which takes the form of a bracket whose lower wing (16) is fixed under the spar (4) using through bolts (17).
  • This wing (16) is preferably formed by a U-shaped profile possibly surmounted by a sole (18) formed from a lower flat.
  • the other wing (19) of the bracket (15) is fixed to the angle iron (6) of the column by means of through bolts (20).
  • the wing (19) is slightly spaced from the end of the beam (4) to facilitate the introduction of the connecting bolt.
  • the bracket (15) is reinforced by the presence of a fixed upper tab (21) at the end of the wing (19) and which covers the upper part of the beam (4) to which it is fixed using the same through bolts (17).
  • connection is illustrated in Figure 4 between a lower modular structure of the ground floor (1) and a floor structure (2).
  • the lower wing (9) of the connecting angle (8) between the cross-member (3) and the column (5) of the upper structure (2) is centered relative to the cross-member (3) of the ground modular structure roadway by the centering stop (26) presented at the upper part of the cross-member (3).
  • the angle (6) connecting between the crosspiece (3) and the column (5) of the structure floor (2) has a perforated plate (28) at its lower part, which allows the establishment of a connecting bolt not shown, passing through said plate (28) and the plate (27) fixed to the upper part of the angle (22) connecting the column (5) and the crosspiece (3) of the modular structure of the ground floor (1).
