Claims (10)

  1. An armoured turret for a light armoured vehicle comprising in a known manner at least one main weapon (2a, 2b, 2c) moveable in place on a journal 3 placed on the front part of the turret, and further comprising, in a lateral position on the superstructure, a side weapon (5), the turret being characterised in that said side weapon is carried on a cradle (9) moveable in place on a fixed frame (7) outside the turret forming an upper fork of a hollow support arm (6) suitable for containing the transmission units (16, 18) for controlling the operation of said side weapon, in that the weapon (5) is fixed to the mobile cradle (9) by means of transverse spindles (11), in that the mobile cradle (9) is mounted so as to rotate in place about transverse pins (10) supported like journals in bearings (8) of the fork of the frame (7) of the support arm, and in that it comprises a connecting rod 14 between the mobile cradle (9) of the side weapon and the journal (3) of the main weapon, said journal passing over the body of the turret (1) so as to project laterally outside said turret, the end (3a) of the journal outside the body of the turret comprising a rocker bar (13) at the end of which is mounted in rotation a first cap (14a) of the connecting rod, a second cap (14b) of the latter being mounted so as to rotate on the mobile cradle (9) in front of its journal pin (10) such that the rocker bar (13), the connecting rod (14) and the mobile cradle (9) forming a deformable quadrilateral (A, B, C, D) for carrying out the aiming in place of the side weapon (5) by copying the aiming in place of the main weapon (2a, 2b, 2c).
  2. A turret according to Claim 1 characterised in that the connecting rod (14) comprises a nut-and-bolt system for adjusting its length.
  3. A turret according to any one of Claims 1 or 2 characterised in that it comprises a firing box (15) located inside the turret (1) and electrically connected to the firing mechanism of the side weapon by an electric connection (16) located inside the hollow support arm (6).
  4. A turret according to any one of Claims 1 to 3 characterised in that the side weapon comprises a mechanical device (17) for reloading the chamber comprising a disengageable control lever (21) inside the turret (1) connected to said mechanism by a mechanical transmission (18) disposed inside the hollow support arm (6).
  5. A turret according to Claim 4 characterised in that the mechanical transmission of the device (17) for reloading the chamber is of the type comprising a cable (18) disposed in a sheath, said cable having one end fixed to the control lever (21) and the other end fixed to the reloading device (17).
  6. A turret according to Claim 5 characterised in that the cradle (9) comprises a vertical lateral portion (9a) covering and protecting the whole rear lateral portion of the weapon (5) and in that said vertical portion (9a) of the cradle supports on its rear portion a pulley (20) over which there passes the control cable (18) for the reloading device (17) and in that the reloading device is retumed elastically towards the front by means of a return spring (19), the end of which is fastened to the front part of the cradle (9).
  7. A turret according to any one of Claims 1 to 6 characterised in that the side weapon (5) is supplied by munitions carried on a strip consisting of links, said strip being disposed in a standard container (22) carried by a removeable support (23) fastened to the side of the cradle (9).
  8. A turret according to any one of Claims 1 to 7 characterised in that it comprises in its rear portion an outer support (25) suitable for carrying away a high number of standard munitions containers (22).
  9. A turret according to any one of Claims 1 to 8, characterised in that the side weapon (5) is a grenade launcher fed with grenades supplied in strips.
  10. A turret according to any one of Claims 1 to 9, characterised in that the side weapon (5) is a machine gun fed with medium-calibre projectiles supplied in strips.
